Abstract

Abstract: Self-efficacy and student’s entrepreneurship interest during covid-19 pandemic. Covid-19 pandemic increased the unemployment rate in Indonesia. Predicted that more than 6.4 million employees have been laid off until October 2020 since the pandemic occurred. Entrepreneurship is one of the solutions to overcome unemployment. As the productive generation, students in university taking an essential role to this situation. University students as agents of change in society must be able to innovate, creative and dynamic in finding alternate solutions in facing challenges. The biggest challenge for students is to become a job creator instead of job seeker. Currently, student entrepreneurial interest rate is still low, which is only 2% from total Indonesian population. One of the reasons caused by the lack of self-confidence in dealing with stressful situations and not a type of risk taker. This is known as self-efficacy. This study involved 110 students with quantitative methods and utilized two Likert scales as research instruments, namely the self-efficacy scale (Bandura, 1997) and the entrepreneurial intention scale (Pintrich & Schunk, 1996). The results showed that during the covid-10 pandemic, university student entrepreneurial interest was significantly influenced by self-efficacy (p<0.01) with an effective contribution of 79.4%. Pearson correlation value score is 0.891 (p<0.01) which strengthen significant positive relationship between variables which imply that the higher self-efficacy, the higher entrepreneurial interest, especially during covid-19 pandemic period.Keywords: Self-efficacy, entrepreneurship, pandemic, covid-19 Abstrak: Efikasi diri dan minat entrepreneurship mahasiswa selama masa pandemi covid-19. Pandemi covid-19 telah meningkatkan angka pengangguran di Indonesia. Sebanyak 6.4 juta orang karyawan dirumahkan hingga bulan oktober 2020 semenjak pandemi terjadi. Entrepreneurship menjadi salah satu solusi dalam mengatasi pengangguran. Sebagai generasi produktif, mahasiswa memegang peranan penting dalam situasi ini. Mahasiswa sebagai agent of change di tengah masyarakat harus mampu berinovasi, kreatif dan dinamis dalam menemukan solusi dalam menghadapi tantangan. Tantangan terbesar mahasiswa adalah menjadi job creator dan tidak sekedar job seeker setelah lulus. Saat ini minat entrepreneurship mahasiswa masih rendah yaitu hanya 2% dari total penduduk di Indonesia. Salah satu sebab rendahnya minat entrepreneurship mahasiswa adalah karena kurangnya keyakinan diri dalam menghadapi situasi menekan dan tidak senang mengambil resiko. Hal ini dikenal dengan efikasi diri. Penelitian ini melibat 110 mahasiswa dengan metode kuantitatif dan menggunakan dua skala likert sebagai instrumen penelitian yaitu skala efikasi diri (Bandura, 1997) dan skala minat entrepreneurship (Pintrich & Schunk, 1996). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa selama pandemi covid-10 minat entrepreneurship mahasiswa secara signifikan dipengaruhi oleh efikasi diri (p<0.01) dengan besar sumbangan efektif sebesar 79.4%. Hasil korelasi pearson menunjukan skor positif 0.891 yang menguatkan adanya hubungan positif antar variabel sehingga semakin tinggi efikasi diri mahasiswa maka semakin tinggi pula minat entrepreneur mahasiswa.Kata kunci: Efikasi diri, wirausaha, pandemic, covid-19

Abstract

TPQ sebagai lembaga pembelajaran Al-Quran harus memiliki metode pembelajaran yang terstandar melalui kurikulum sehingga evaluasi pembelajaran dapat dilakukan secara optimal. Masalah saat ini yang dihadapi TPQ Safaril ‘Ulum yaitu belum memiliki kurikulum yang terstandar sehingga proses belajar hanya difokuskan pada aktivitas rutin tanpa metode pembelajaran yang dapat dinilai efektivitasnya. Tujuan kegiatan untuk memberikan pendampingan dalam pembuatan kurikulum berdasarkan metode multi-sensori yang telah terbukti mampu berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan menghafal siswa. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan terdiri dari focus group discussion, observasi dan demostrasi hasil atau sosialisasi. Proses kegiatan dibagi menjadi tiga tahapan yaitu tahap persiapan untuk memetaan kondisi awal TPQ, tahap kedua sebagai proses FGD dalam pembuatan kurikulum dan tahap ketiga yaitu sosialisasi kurikulum. Dengan kurikulum berlandaskan metode multi-sensori, tenaga pendidik memiliki panduan sekaligus mampu menerapkan metode pembelajaran yang baru bagi peserta didik. Selain itu, kegiatan ini dapat menghasilkan siswa didik yang tidak hanya cepat dalam proses menghafal Al-Quran, namun menempatkan standar yang sama bagi seluruh siswa didik dengan kurikulum yang terstandar.

Abstract

Media sosial menjadi salah satu platform yang paling banyak digunakan saat ini. Hasil survei Digital Global Overview Report tahun 2023, 59.4% populasi di dunia telah menggunakan media sosial. Di Indonesia, pengguna media sosial mencapai 60.54% dari total penduduk. 78.5% pengguna internet memiliki lebih dari 1 akun media sosial dengan usia diatas 18 tahun sebagai pengguna terbanyak saat ini, yang teridentifikasi sebagai generasi Z. Generasi ini adalah generasi pertama yang lahir saat teknologi telah berkembang dan menjadikan media sosial sebagai media mempresentasikan diri. Presentasi diri daring untuk menunjukan diri yang ideal secara leluasa dapat dilakukan. Namun presentasi diri daring yang salah justru akan membentuk citra diri yang manipulatif. Tujuan diadakannya pelatihan smart photography bertujuan untuk memberikan penguatan presentasi diri daring yang lebih otentik. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan tindakan. Evaluasi pertama pelatihan dilakukan dengan praktik hasil pelatihan di media sosial masing-masing. Evaluasi kedua menggunakan wawancara untuk dianalisis secara tematik mengenai pengalaman sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan dengan menggunakan foto di media sosial. Hasil pelatihan menunjukan kecenderungan peningkatan usaha mempresentasikan diri secara lebih positif dengan menggunakan caption yang kreatif dengan menggunakan teknik smart-photography melalui prinsip komposisi, simetris, rule of third dan perspective. Pelatihan ini tidak hanya menguatkan presentasi diri daring peserta, namun diharapkan memberikan kemampuan teknis fotografi dengan perangkat yang sederhana yaitu smartphone. Abstract

Achieving long-term goals is the main focus of every company as a manifestationof a firm sustainability. Employees as the backbone of the company need positive behavior and a strong desire to achieve this long-term goal. This positive character with long-term assurance is called grit. The current problem is the high level of turnover of company employees which is one indicator of the lack of attachment of employees in achieving the company's long-term goals. Grit is predicted to be able to support the achievement of the company's long-term goals and empirically able to reduce turnover rates. The purpose of this study is to test empirically whether there are significant differences in grit behavior based on employee demographics in one of FMCG company in Bandar Lampung. This study uses a mixed method with a scale for quantitative data and open questions for qualitative data. The total subjects involved in this study were 115 employees. Data were analyzed using SPSS 24.0 program. The results showed that there were no significant differences in employee grit behavior in terms of age, sex, work period and education. The results of qualitative data analysis through data transformation found several possible main factors in working, such as good teamwork, assurance of occupational safety and health, adequate work facilities, a fair recognition system, a work environment that facilitates self-development, communication and good relations subordinate supervisors and consistent application of company regulations.

Abstract

This study measured 32 items of achievement motivation variable in an undimensional manner which was adapted from Muthee and Thomas (2009) into Indonesian language and culture by involving peer review to reduce the effect of bias. The procedure for adapting measuring instruments through the stages proposed by Beaton et al. (2000), the first stage is translation. The first translator is mastered in English and the second translator had competence in the field of Psychology and English. Second, is the synthesis of the translation results, back translation, and a committee review of experts. Questionnaires were distributed to 102 MA Darussunnah students, Ciputat, South Tangerang. All items were analyzed using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The results showed that 32 items were undimensional. This means that all items only measure one factor, so the one-factor model contained in the Motivation Achievement Inventory can be accepted. Of the 32 items, there were 15 items that were invalid, so they were dropped. That is, only 17 items that measure the achievement motivation variable.Keywords: Motivation Achievement Inventory, Adaptation, Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA).

Abstract

ABSTRAKGenerasi Z sebagai generasi digital menjadikan media sosial sebagai ruang untuk terus mendapatkan pengakuan, melalui jumlah followers, like, share dan comment. Apa yang ditampilkan melalui media sosial menjadi sangat penting bagi mereka. Hal ini disebabkan karena generasi Z tidak memiliki pengalaman persimpangan antara dunia analog dan digital (Podara et al., 2021). Menciptakan online persona yang mengagumkan di media sosial adalah sesuatu yang wajar karena karakter mereka sebagai generasi figital menjadikan ruang maya menjadi suatu realitas (Stillman & Stillman, 2019). Online persona dibentuk tanpa menghadirkan impresi yang secara nyata kita miliki, seperti senyuman asli, bahasa tubuh hingga petunjuk non-verbal lain yang menyebabkan identitas diri yang tidak otentik bahkan manipulatif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana pengalaman pembentukan online persona pada generasi Z dengan menggunakan pendekatan photovoice. Partisipan penelitian adalah generasi Z yang memiliki rentang usia 18-27 tahun, memiliki jumlah pengikut media sosial diatas 1.000 orang serta aktif menampilkan diri di media sosial. Partisipan mengikuti pelatihan smart photography kemudian secara mandiri mengambil foto selama 7 hari dengan smartphone lalu di unggah di media sosial masing-masing. Penggalian pengalaman dan permaknaan foto oleh partisipan menggunakan wawancara mendalam yang kemudian dianalisis secara tematik. Hasil analisis tematik dengan menggunakan program Nvivo 12 menunjukan pengalaman pembentukan online persona sebagai strategi presentasi diri yang melibatkan pemilihan foto sebagai cues (isyarat/sinyal), kekuatan captions (keterangan gambar), keterampilan sunting foto dan ketepatan pemilihan waktu unggah di media sosial. Selain itu, pembentukan online persona terkait dengan tiga tujuan yaitu untuk disukai (ingratiation), promosi diri (self-promotion) dan agar menjadi inspirasi/contoh (exemplification). ABSTRACTGeneration Z, being a digital cohort, utilizes social media platforms as a way to consistently acquire acknowledgment by increasing the quantity of followers, likes, shares, and comments. The content exhibited on social media platforms assumes significant importance for individuals. This is due to the fact that Generation Z lacks exposure to the convergence of the physical and digital realms [1]. Developing exceptional online personas on social media is an inherent phenomenon, since their persona as a fictional generation materializes in the virtual realm. The formation of an online persona occurs without the deliberate presentation of true impressions, such as a genuine smile, body language, and other non-verbal clues. This process results in the creation of an authentic self-identity that is free from manipulation. The objective of this study is to investigate the process of online persona construction among individuals belonging to Generation Z through the utilization of photovoice methodologies. The research participants consisted of individuals from generation Z, specifically between the ages of 18 and 27, possessed a social media followed by over 1,000 followers and actively engaged in self-presentation on social media platforms. Participants engage in a comprehensive training program on smart photography techniques. Subsequently, they are required to capture photographs using a smartphone camera for a duration of 7 days and subsequently share them on their own social media platforms. The process of data extraction will involve conducting in-depth interviews to gather a comprehensive understanding of their online persona’s building experience. This information will then be examined thematically, taking into account the participants' descriptions of the images they captured. The results of the thematic analysis conducted using the Nvivo 12 software revealed that the online persona is associated with a self-presentation strategy that encompasses the deliberate selection of photo displays as cues, the effectiveness of captions, proficiency in capturing displays (photos or videos), and the precision in choosing upload times. The self-presentation strategy is implemented with three primary goals: to cultivate favor and approval (ingratiation), to promote oneself, and to serve as a source of inspiration or example (exemplification).

Abstract

Covid-19 pandemic had a massive impact to all aspects in society, including university students. Challenge of online study and family’s economic pressure forced them to turn this situation into strategy to survive amid several limitations. This strategy known as grit. Grit is a psychological contruct which first introduced by Duckworth (2007). Its definition is expanding through the years, but it keeps referring to its initial definition as perseverance and willingness to achieve long-term goals. Grit scale consist of 16 items with two main aspects, consistency in interest and perseverance in action. Purpose of this study was to analyze which factors in grit which mostly impact to survival strategy in students. This research involved 318 university students using purposive sampling method. Data which have been collected was categorized into five main factors which relate to students’s survival strategy consist of consitency, efforts to maintain goals, encounter challenges, executing task and hardwork. Final result using factor analysis with the help of SPSS 25.0 program, showed that those factor reduce into two main factor consist of goal clarity and persistency.
