Abstract

The results of this study show that from the teachers' perspective, PjBL has great potential to develop students' critical thinking skills, especially because it requires active involvement and problem solving. This method requires activity in the classroom, both from teachers and students. Teachers need to design projects that are contextual, challenging, yet still appropriate for the cognitive development level of elementary school students. However, from the students' perspective, this method is considered much more enjoyable than traditional instruction. However, in PjBL learning, some students find it difficult to understand. According to them, learning through projects makes them feel bored more quickly. Students require practice and guidance to become accustomed to independent and collaborative learning. Therefore, the success of PjBL implementation heavily depends on the teacher's active role in explaining it and designing a balanced learning strategy between exploration and direct guidance.

Abstract

This research intends to investigate the connection between students' overall development and the promotion of character education in elementary schools. Character education is critical in developing a generation that succeeds not just academically but also morally, with honesty, compassion, and social responsibility. Using a descriptive qualitative methodology through literature review, this study examines how the application of a holistic approach can aid in the overall growth of student character. The results suggest that comprehensive education, which includes cognitive, emotional, social, physical, and spiritual elements, has a beneficial impact on students' self-awareness, attitudes, and behavior. Furthermore, the effectiveness of these programs is strongly influenced by cooperation between schools, parents, and communities. These results highlight the value of using comprehensive education as a primary approach for sustainably increasing character education in elementary schools.

Abstract

This article reports on the development of digital books as a medium to increase learning motivation of grade IV students. This research aims to develop digital books as innovative learning media to increase students' learning motivation. The background of this research is the low interest of students in learning caused by the use of conventional learning media that is less interesting. The subjects of the limited trial were elementary school students at the middle grade level. Data were collected through observation, questionnaire on learning motivation, and interview. The results showed that the digital book developed was feasible to use based on the assessment of material experts, media experts, and positive responses from students. In addition, there was an increase in learning motivation after students used the digital book in the learning process. Thus, the digital media book developed proved to be effective as an alternative learning media that can increase student learning motivation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana guru mengatur kelas supaya suasana belajar jadi nyaman dan mendukung siswa kelas IV di SDN 3 Ciledug agar bisa belajar dengan baik. Metode yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian ini melibatkan tiga guru sekolah dasar yang memiliki latar belakang, pengalaman, dan cara mengajar yang berbeda-beda. Dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar, guru punya peran yang sangat penting. Keberhasilan guru dalam mengelola kelas sangat berpengaruh terhadap tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran.Dari kajian teori yang ada, pengelolaan pembelajaran bisa berjalan lancar kalau guru mampu menjalankan perannya sebagai pengatur proses belajar, misalnya dengan menciptakan suasana kelas yang nyaman dan memanfaatkan fasilitas yang ada dengan baik. Prestasi belajar siswa bisa meningkat jika guru menerapkan berbagai cara, seperti memberikan soal latihan, tugas di luar kelas, kegiatan eksperimen, menyampaikan hasil belajar, kerja sama dengan orang tua, menggunakan media pembelajaran, dan memberikan bimbingan belajar. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa setelah kelas dikelola dengan baik, nilai siswa meningkat dari kisaran 60–90 menjadi 75–95. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan kelas yang tepat bisa membantu siswa meraih prestasi yang lebih baik, baik dari sisi akademik maupun non-akademik.
