Abstract

Engineering education prepares its graduates able to work in the community and entrepreneurship, the quality of graduates is highly determined by the quality of the learning process is no exception for student learning styles. The purpose of this study was to describe the design of the expert system to determine the student learning style, the method used was forward chaining. The results of the design of this application have been able to diagnose student learning styles efficiently and provide the best solutions for their learning.

Abstract

This study aims to design an application in determining the single student tuition fee using the Analytical Hierarchy Process method in Higher Education. Universitas Negeri Padang has used a system to carry out the process of grouping in Single Tuition Fee (STF), but there are still many deficiencies in determining variables. The stages in this research begin with problem analysis, needs analysis, implementation, and testing. This system architecture is based on Model-View-Controller using the Yii2 framework with the PHP programming language. This system uses the Analytical Hierarchy Process method which has a calculation of the consistency value in determining the priority level of the criteria. Determination of criteria based on a number of criteria and a number of alternatives. The results of this study provide a ranking system for each alternative. The highest-ranking is the main priority in the system in making decisions by looking at the student's economic condition.

Abstract

The current era of globalization has succeeded in creating various problems and challenges of human life. The ability to solve problems and challenges of life is very necessary. The place for education, especially science, is the main key so that citizens are able to live their lives well. The phenomenon of the low mastery of integrated science content of students at the basic education level cannot be separated from the dimensions of their literacy attitude. These dimensions include the application of science, knowledge of science, the process of science, and patterns of behavior towards science. The aim of this study was to describe the scientific literacy skills of students in learning with factual texts. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. A total of 40 students were used as sources of information to view and obtain a literacy competency profile in science learning. Data were collected through observation and tests through a number of questions to obtain information on the dimensions of students' literacy attitudes. The research finding is that there is an increase in learning progress based on the results of the pretest and posttest with a difference of 15.8 points for the overall PISA competency aspect. The competence aspect of explaining scientific phenomena obtained the lowest average result, while the competence aspect of evaluating and interpreting the data obtained a higher average result. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of science learning in schools should be more meaningful for students so that they are able to have higher literacy skills, especially scientific literacy. This can be achieved by applying holistic and integrative learning in science learning

Abstract

Pencemaran udara merupakan masalah yang cukup serius saat ini. Karena udara merupakan aspek yang sangat penting bagi kehidupan makhluk hidup di bumi. Banyak sumber pencemaran udara saat ini, salah satunya adalah pencemaran yang disebabkan oleh asap sisa pembakaran pabrik atau industri. Untuk meminimalisir polusi udara yang ditimbulkan oleh industri maka dibuatlah sistem penyaring asap keluaran cerobong pada industri. Sistem penyaring ini menggunakan prinsip electrostatic precipitator(ESP). Prinsip ini memanfaatkan efek korona yang diciptakan oleh listrik yang memiliki tegangan tinggi. Korona listrik terjadi ketika ada dua kabel paralel yang memiliki penampang kecil yang diberi tegangan bolak-balik. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kabel yang saling bersilangan, yang menciptakan medan listrik yang dapat menimbulkan percikan api. Hilangnya elektron dari molekul udara menghasilkan medan listrik di sekitar mereka.Medan ini dapat menyebabkan elektron bebas bergerak lebih cepat dan terjadi tumbukan dengan molekul lain.Hal inilah yang dimanfaatkan oleh ESP untuk membantu proses particle charging.Kata Kunci : Korona Listrik, ESP, Electrostatic Precipitator, Particle Charging. Air pollution is a serious problem today. Because air is a very important aspect for the life of living things on earth. There are many sources of air pollution today, one of which is pollution caused by smoke from factory or industrial combustion. To minimize air pollution caused by industry, a chimney exhaust smoke filter system is made in the industry. This filter system uses the principle of electrostatic precipitator (ESP). This principle takes advantage of the corona effect created by high-voltage electricity. An electric corona occurs when there are two parallel wires that have a small cross-section that are given an alternating voltage. This is caused by the wires crossing each other, which creates an electric field that can cause a spark. The loss of electrons from air molecules creates an electric field around them. This field can cause free electrons to move faster and collide with other molecules. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis macromedia flash dan mengetahui tingkat kelayakan (validitas) media pembelajaran interaktif sebagai media pembelajaran mata pelajaran Dasar Listrik dan Elektronika Kelas X Teknik Mekatronika di SMK Negeri 1 Sumatera Barat. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D) menggunakan model ADDIE. Model ADDIE terdiri dari lima tahap, 1) Analisis; 2) Desain/Perancangan; 3) Pengembangan; 4) Implementasi/Penerapan; dan 5) Evaluasi. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket digunakan untuk memperoleh data tingkat kelayakan (validitas) media pembelajaran interaktif. Pengujian validitas media melibatkan tiga orang dosen Teknik Elektronika Universitas Negeri Padang. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai Aspek Isi dan Konstruksi sebesar 0,83 dengan kategori valid, Aspek Teknis 0,78 dengan kategori valid, dan Aspek Instruksional 0,76 dengan kategori valid. Rata-rata keseluruhan validitas media pembelajaran interaktif adalah 0,79 dengan kategori valid. Hasil pengujian kesepakatan antar pakar menggunakan Intraclass Correlations Coefficient/ICC diperoleh nilai reliabilitas cukup memuaskan rxx= 0,751 yang diestimasi menggunakan Koefisien Alpha. Rata-rata kesepakatan antar rater sebesar 0,751 dan untuk satu orang rater konsistensinya adalah 0,502.Kata kunci : Media Pembelajaran Interaktif, Macromedia Flash, Analisis Tingkat Kelayakan, Intraclass Correlations Coefficient/ICC. This study aims to produce interactive learning media based on macromedia flash and determine the level of feasibility (validity) of interactive learning media as learning media for Basic Electrical and Electronics subjects for Class X Mechatronics Engineering at SMK Negeri 1 West Sumatra. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model. The ADDIE model consists of five stages, 1) Analysis; 2) Design; 3) Development; 4) Implementation; and 5) Evaluation. The research instrument in the form of a questionnaire was used to obtain data on the feasibility level (validity) of interactive learning media. The media validity test involved three lecturers of Electronic Engineering, Padang State University. Data analysis used descriptive analysis. The results of the study obtained the value of Content and Construction Aspects of 0.83 with valid categories, Technical Aspects of 0.78 with valid categories, and Instructional Aspects of 0.76 with valid categories. The overall average validity of interactive learning media is 0.79 with a valid category. The results of testing agreement between experts using the Intraclass Correlations Coefficient/ICC obtained a satisfactory reliability value of rxx = 0.751 which was estimated using the Alpha Coefficient. The average agreement between raters is 0.751 and for one rater the consistency is 0.502.Keywords : Interactive Learning Media, Macromedia Flash, Feasibility Level Analysis, Intraclass Correlations Coefficient / ICC.

Abstract

Technology developed rapidly along the times, various ways are done to make works easier. One of them is by utilizing artificial intelligence, likes the use of a webcam as a sensor in detecting an object through several stages of image processing. There was research on object recognition previously using three measurement parameters based on color, shape, and size of objects. It is used a webcam as the sensing sensor, and image processing is processed with python programming. In this article, writer described about image processing for the detection of objects used in the research. The results of this device have been tested and are able to detect objects properly based on predetermined color, shape and size. Object detection using a webcam can work properly according to what the author wants.

Abstract

Based on observations at SMK Negeri 2 Lubuk Basung, especially in the Computer Assembly subject, teachers have not used instructional media as learning process activities. The learning media that are used are still in the form of text and images using Microsoft Office PowerPoint software which makes students less understanding of understanding learning material and makes students bored and bored so the learning process activities are not optimal. The application of Augmented Reality as a learning medium aims to attract students' attention and make it easier for students to understand the material in the learning process of computer assembly, for example in practical lessons. Making applications using Mobile-based Java programming with the Unity application software version (2018.2.5f1) and Vuforia support version (2018.2.5f1). The features contained in the Augmented Reality application are AR Camera, Material, Exercise, Quiz, About, and Exit.

Abstract

Bagian persaingan dan perkembangan di bidang dunia insdustri semakin lama menjadi semakin ketat dan mengalami perubahan yang signifikan. Kerupuk jengkol memiliki banyak pengemar, dari kalangan anak-anak hingga orang tua. Sehingga permintaan untuk kerupuk jengkol cukup lah tinggi, namun sistem dalam proses produksi pengolahan kerupuk jengkol di industri rumahan masih menggunakan cara manual yakni, menggunakan tenaga manusia dan peralatan seadanya seperti palu karet dalam penipisan olahan jengkol, sehingga mempengaruhi dari segi aspek produksi yang tidak efektif serta belum maksimal dalam memenuhi permintaan pasar cukup tinggi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melakukan rancang bangun alat penipisan olahan kerupuk jengkol menggunakan sistem hidrolik berbasis plc. Penelitian ini meliputi metode jenis pengolahan jengkol berbeda serta proses penerapan tekanan yang berbeda pada olahan jengkol dengan menggunakan sensor berat untuk mendapatkan hasil kategori olahan serta penipisan yang ditentukan. Manfaat penelitian ini adalah mempermudah industri rumahan dalam meningkatkan hasil produksi untuk memenuhi permintaan pasar yang cukup tinggi, serta mempersingkat waktu dan mendapatkan kapasitas kerja yang lebih produktif.Kata kunci : Penipisan, Jengkol, Pengolahan. Competition and the development of the industrial world are increasingly becoming increasingly stringent and experiencing significant changes. Jengkol crackers have many fans, from children to the elderly. So that the demand for jengkol crackers is quite High, but the system in the production process for processing jengkol crackers in the home industry still uses the manual method, namely, using human labor and makeshift equipment such as a rubber mallet in thinning processed jengkol, so that the effect is in terms of ineffective production aspects and has not maximized in meeting market demand is quite High. The purpose of this research is to design and build a thinning tool for processed jengkol crackers using a plc-based hydraulic system. This research includes methods for different types of jengkol processing and the process of applying different pressures to processed jengkol using a weight sensor to obtain the results of the processed category and the specified thinning. The benefits of this research are that it will make it easier for home industries to increase production to meet High market demand, as well as shortening time and obtaining more productive work capacity.. Keywords: Depletion, Jengkol (Dogfruit), Processing.

Abstract

The challenge of education in Indonesia with the entry of the era of society 5.0 requires efforts to improve student learning outcomes, especially engineering education students. This paper focuses on looking at the influence of vocational interest on learning outcomes, perceptions of the world of work based on society 5.0 on learning outcomes, and vocational interests and perceptions of the world of work together on learning outcomes. The results of the study found that (1) there was a significant influence between vocational interest on student learning outcomes by 10.3%, (2) there was a significant influence between perceptions of the world of work based on society 5.0 on student learning outcomes by 11.3% and (3) there is a joint influence of vocational interest and perceptions of the world of work based on society 5.0 on student learning outcomes by 16%. Thus, it can be concluded that vocational interest and perceptions about the world of work based on society 5.0 are two factors that contribute to student learning outcomes. This means that the higher the vocational interest and perception of the world of work based on society 5.0, the student learning outcomes will tend to be higher.

Abstract

Perkembangan dunia teknologi sudah semakin maju terutama dibidang robotika. Kontes  Robot Indonesia merupakan kompetisi tahunan tingkat nasional di  Indonesia. Robot yang  bertanding menggunakan remot kontrol  yang bersifat wireless menggunakan remot kontrol seperti joystick PS.  Perancangan dan pembuatan alat  remot kontrol ini bertujuan untuk  menghasilkan  joystick yang mampu berkomunikasi dengan jarak lebih jauh dan  persentase packet loss  yang rendah. Sistem remot kontrol ini menggunkan modul nRF24L01 sebagai modul transmitter dan receiver. Joystick dirancang menggunakan mikrokontroler Arduino Mega 2560 dengan push button sebagai inputnya, menggunakan  baterai lipo cell sebagai sumber tegangan.  Tugas akhir ini berfokus pada  analisis pengiriman data dari joystick nRF24L01 ke Robot dengan melihat jumlah  paket loss  menggunakan metode line of sight dan non line of sight.Kata kunci : nRF24L01, Arduino Mega 2560, Push Button, Packet loss, Line of sight dan non Line of sight..  The development of the world of technology has become increasingly advanced, especially in the field of robotics. The Indonesian Robot Contest is an annual national level competition in Indonesia. Robots that compete use wireless remote controls such as PS joysticks. The design and manufacture of this remote control device aims to produce a joystick that is capable of communicating over longer distances and with a low percentage of packet loss. This remote control system uses the nRF24L01 module as a transmitter and receiver module. The joystick is designed using an Arduino Mega 2560 microcontroller with a push button as input, using a lipo cell battery as a voltage source.
