Abstract

Some problems are attached by the online learning system such as low self-learning awareness and conceptual understanding. One of the learning approaches is the concept of heutagogy which is the development of andragogy approach. Self-learning awareness and conceptual understanding are needed either online or offline learning system, so it can improve student learning outcomes in all subjects. However, previous studies on the effect of the heutagogy approach on self-learning awareness and conceptual understanding as well as relate it to increase learning outcomes is still limited. Likewise with research on how the influence of self-learning awareness, conceptual understanding and their interaction on increasing learning outcomes has not been found. As novelty, this study aims to determine the effect of the heutagogy approach on increasing conceptual understanding and self-learning awareness and the interaction effect of self-learning awareness and conceptual understanding on course learning outcomes. This study is quasi-experiment. A total of 250 first-year students were randomly selected as samples in the pre-test and post-test. Data were collected by distributing a set of questionnaires and a set of exams via Google forms and were analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Science 23.0 (SPSS v 23.0) and SmartPLS 3.0. Findings showed that the heutagogy approach has possitive and significant effect to increase conceptual understanding and self-learning awareness. Self-learning awareness has a positive and significant effect and also mediates the effect of conceptual understanding on learning outcomes. Heutagogy approach increase conceptual understanding (8.79%), self-learning awareness (10.68%), and learning outcomes (6.70%) compared with traditional method.

Abstract

This study is a descriptive study of the application towards multimedia that conducted in higher institution, West Sumatera with the objectives of assessing the factors affecting multimedia application in higher institution lecturers. It employed a survey questionnaire to collect respondents’ responses by using Likert-5 point type scales. It was conducted on 250 lecturers by using stratified random sampling from three types of higher institutions. Data collected and analyzed by using Statistical for the Social Sciences 19.0 (SPSS 19.0). Descriptive analysis shows that factors affecting multimedia application are limited amount of equipments, less support from the institution, no confidence in using multimedia for teaching, damaged equipments, insufficient time to prepare multimedia-based teaching materials, not enough salaries to assist in carrying out their duties properly, increased teaching workloads, ineffective multimedia training and no rewards or incentives from the institution for using multimedia in teaching. As conclusion, this study can be used by the relevant authorities to take action in improving education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari perbedaan penerimaan Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) dalam kalangan mahasiswa perguruan tinggi Islam. Secara khususnya, bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan sikap terhadap TIK antara mahasiswa alumni pondok pesantren dengan alumni non-pondok pesantren. Sikap ditinjau berdasarkan model Unified Theory of Acceptance and Usage of Technology (UTAUT II) yaitu kegunaan (performance expectancy), keyakinan (effort expectancy), pengaruh sosial (social influence), keadaan fasilitas (facilitating condition), motivasi hedonik (hedonic motivation), harga (price value), kebiasaan (habit) dan tingkah laku (behavioral intention). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan terhadap 805 orang mahasiswa jurusan Pendidikan Islam di institusi perguruan tinggi Islam Sumatera Barat yang dipilih secara bertujuan yaitu mahasiswa semester 1 dan semester akhir saja. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survey secara kuantitatif dengan menggunakan kuesioner skala Likert 5 poin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan penerimaan yang signifikan dalam aspek keyakinan, pengaruh sosial, keadaan fasilitas, motivasi hedonik, harga dan kebiasaan. Abstract

Menjalankan solat secara khusuk adalah hal yang penting dan harapan semua muslim. Namun hal tersebut terkadang tidak mudah untuk menjalankannya. Dengan menimbang kondisi pandemi Covid-19, maka Politeknik Negeri Padang (PNP) melalui Tim Pengabdian Masyarakat mengadakan pelatihan solat khusuk yang hanya ditujukan kepada para Ketua Rukun Tetangga (Ketua RT) dan RW Kelurahan Limau Manis, Pauh sebagai mitra. Adapun masalah yang dihadapi mitra adalah mereka ingin meningkatkan kualitas salat mereka sehingga bisa menjalankan salat khusyuk. Mereka mengeluhkan pentingnya salat khusyuk dalam kehidupan, namun belum pernah ada pelatihan salat khusyuk di Kelurahan Limau Manis. Oleh itu, solusi yang ditawarkan pada kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) adalah mengadakan pelatihan salat khusyuk bagi mitra. Pelatihan diberikan melalui metode ceramah interaktif, diskusi (sharing) pengalaman salat yang dijalankan sehari-hari dan latihan. Materi ceramah yang akan diberikan meliputi hakikat dan urgensi salat khusyuk dan memaknai gerakan salat. Pelatihan ini juga memberikan latihan persiapan menuju salat, gerakan salat, doa dan zikir sehingga salat khusyuk dapat tercapai.

Abstract

Al-Qur’an merupakan rangkaian firman Allah SWT yang diturunkan melalui tata bahasa yang sangat mulia. Rangkaian huruf hijaiyah dan tanda bacanya menjadikan seni membaca Al-Qur’an merupakan seni yang sangat tinggi. Seni baca Al-Qur’an merupakan bacaan-bacaan yang bertajwid yang diperindah oleh irama lagu. Mitra adalah murid Taman Bacaan Al-Qur’an di RW 007, Kelurahan Limau Manis, Kecamatan Pauh, Padang. Mitra telah mendapatkan pelatihan Tahsin (perbaikan bacaan Al-Qur’an dari aspek tajwid) sehingga mereka telah dapat membaca ayat suci AlQur’an dengan tajwid. Bagaimanapun, kebanyakan mitra belum dapat melantunkan Al-Qur’an dengan indah dan merdu. Oleh itu, solusi yang ditawarkan pada kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) adalah mengadakan pelatihan irama dalam membaca Al-Qur’an bagi murid Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur’an di Rw 007, Kelurahan Limau Manis, Kecamatan Pauh, Padang

Abstract

Penyelenggaraan terhadap seseorang muslim yang meninggal dunia, merupakan problema tersendiri di kalangan masyarakat. Permasalahannya terletak pada penyelenggara jenazah tersebut. Sebagian besar masyarakat menyerahkan tugas menyelenggarakan jenazah kepada orang-orang tertentu, dan biasanya orang-orang yang dianggap “pintar” atau ustadz / kiayi. Bagi masyarakat umum pekerjaan menyelenggarakan jenazah merupakan pekerjaan yang menakutkan, dan pekerjaan yang paling menakutkan terutama memandikan jenazah. Pengabdian ini memberikan solusi yaitu dengan mengadakan pelatihan penyelenggaraan jenazah sesuai dengan syariat Islam pada Ibu-ibu Majelis Taklim Astek. Adapun target luaran yang ingin dicapai adalah Ibu-ibu Majelis Taklim memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang penyelenggaraan jenazah sesuai dengan syariat Islam. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan melaksanakan seluruh rangkain proses penyelenggaraan jenazah, dan juga menyesuaikan dengan kearifan lokal (adat). Dimana kita ketahui bahwa Minangkabau dikenal dengan adat basandi syarak, syarak basandi kitabullah. Oleh itu, kegiatan ini perlu didanai karena merupakan kegiatan pelatihan ilmu agama yang sangat bermanfaat bagi kemaslahatan masyarakat.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyse the effect of attitudes and motivation to learn on Islamic education comprehension among engineering students. It also identified the role of motivation as a mediator between attitude and Islamic education comprehension. This study employed a quantitative method with a survey study. The participants were first-year and end-year engineering students in Higher Education Institutions who were chosen by purposive sampling. Data were gathered from 250 samples by using one set of questionnaires. SmartPLS with Structure Equation Modeling was carried out to analyse data. Furthermore, path analysis at two-tailed significance (p<0.05) examines hypotheses and the effect of each antecedent on Islamic education comprehension. The findings of this study confirmed that attitude had no significant impact on Islamic education comprehension among engineering students. But attitude affects the motivation to learn. Motivation to learn affects Islamic education comprehension. These findings reveal that motivation to learn is a significant antecedent as a mediator in the relationship between attitude and Islamic education comprehension. This study is limited by a questionnaire to gather the data and area restrictions. This study involved Muslim engineering students in higher education institutions who have not been assigned to other studies on Islamic education. Generally, other Islamic education studies analyse subjects in Madrasah or other Islamic education institutions.
