Abstract

The halal industry has a strategic role in improving the economy. The halal industry contributes USD 3.8 billion to Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) annually. Bengkalis Regency is one of the regencies in Indonesia that has great potential for the development of the halal industry in coastal areas, moreover according to 2020 data from the Central Statistics Agency, Bengkalis Regency has 6,354 MSMEs which is the second largest in Riau Province. In Indonesia, women's entrepreneurship is a valuable contributor to the renewal and development of the domestic economy. According to a statistical report from the Central Bureau of Statistics, out of 2 million micro business units, 40.8% are controlled by women. This study uses a binary logistic regression model to determine what factors influence the decision of women entrepreneurs to obtain halal certificates. The results of this study found that ownership of halal certificates in MSME women entrepreneurs in Bengkalis Regency was influenced by age, number of children under five, average monthly income and interaction variables between type and length of business. While the factors of education, labor, length of business, human capital, and business performance do not significantly influence the ownership of halal certificates in MSMEs in Bengkalis Regency.

Abstract

Productive zakat, namely zakat given by amil institutions to people who need capital assistance, productive zakat fund assistance as capital to carry out an economic activity, namely to develop economic conditions and potential productivity of mustahik. Analysis is used to determine the form of zakat receipt and distribution by BAZNAS Riau Province descriptive while to find out how the effect of productive zakat funds channeled by BAZNAS Riau Province on mustahik used logistic regression analysis. The effect of the amount of productive zakat assistance on the development of mustahik micro businesses partially based on the t test states that the amount of productive zakat assistance has no significant effect on the development of mustahik micro businesses .coaching has a positive and significant effect on the development of mustahik micro businesses. initial capital does not have a significant effect on the development of mustahik micro businesses. The results of the regression analysis show that the variable amount of productive zakat, mentoring and initial capital jointly affect the development of mustahik micro businesses. Meanwhile, partially the variable amount of productive zakat, assistance and initial capital also influences the development of mustahik micro businesses.

Abstract

The application of sharia principles in economics promises a more equitable and inclusive economic development. Implementing sharia economics in coastal areas provides a number of economic benefits for the community. Limited access to adequate resources and infrastructure can affect the community's ability to apply sharia economic principles. The purpose of this study was to determine what factors influence the application of the concept of sharia economics in coastal areas seen from internal and external factors. This study is a quantitative study. The respondents in this study were 300 people in the Meranti Islands who were already working. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression using the SEM-PLS model. The results of this study showed that the variables of education and skills, personality and motivation, social and economic, environment, and technology and information had a direct and significant effect on the application of the sharia concept in the coastal areas of the Meranti Islands. while the variables of policy and regulation did not have a direct and significant effect on the application of the sharia concept in the coastal areas of Meranti Regency.
