Abstract

Nowadays, understanding and mastery of English language is very important foreveryone, not least for those who have limitations, such as people with visual impairment. Generally, people learn English, by using dictionary. But for people with visualimpairment, are not allowed to use the dictionary, just like a normal person in general.They require specialized dictionaries, for example dictionaries that use Braille format. The using of dictionaries in Braille format even this could not be done optimally, becauseto find the translation of a word, they must find the word manually, such as by reading with your finger.By the advancement of science and technology, especially in the field ofcomputerization, dictionary application media was made to help people with visual impairment in performing the translation of a word by using the senses of hearing. Inmaking this application, the hardware, which used is a desktop or laptop computercompleted with the speakers, while its software consists of modules Borland Delphi and TTS (Text To Speech). The application of the dictionary that created tailored to the characteristics of people with visual impairment, such as on interface design created the shortcuts or special keys on the keyboard to perform a particular function. Input given tothe system, namely in the form of text, followed by the TTS module will be converted to text utterance.This dictionary application is expected to provide facilities for persons with visualimpairment in learning English language, without need high intensity to do the translation of a word, so that the productivity of learning, both at school and at home can beimproved continously.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out whether there was a significant difference toward cognitive learning achievement in Information Technology (ICT) subject between groups of students who were taught using Discovery Learning Strategy and those who were taught using conventional strategy. This study was categorized into pseudo experiment (quasi experiment) in which Control Grup Design was used as research design in this study. The population of this research was eleventh grade students of SMA 1 Gianyar in the academic year 2012/2013. The sample of this study was the eleventh grade of science class 4 eleventh grade of science class 6 with the total number of sample was 64. The eleventh grade of science class 4 was used as the experiment class while the eleventh grade of science class 6 was used as the control class. Multiple choices test was used as the data collection to measure the students’ cognitive aspect. Precondition test was conducted to analyze the data including normality testing and homogeneity testing and hypothesis testing in the form of T Relating to the result of the analys found that the normality and the homogeneity of both groups were normally and homogeneity distributed. The average score of the group of students who were taught using discovery learning strategy was higher than the group of students who were ta direct learning strategy.The result of the analysis showed that tcalculation > ttable, the implementation of discovery learning strategy influenced significantly toward cognitive learning achievement in ICT subject for the eleventh grade students of science class of SMA 1 Gianyar in the academic year 2012/2013.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to produce a valid, reliable, and practical portfolio assessment instrument to assess students ability, particularly to the development of assessment instruments portfolio discussion of hardware, software, and usefulness of the application program.  The validation process of the portfolio assessment instrument was conducted in two stages, namely through the theoretical validation and empirical validation.Validation of theoretical validation is determined by expert judgment or assessment, while the empirical validation is determined by the validity of the specific criteria for testing to student in order to measure the ability of students. For content validity rate was calculated using the  Gregory formula, and the value obtained classified in either category. Second step validation, was the data of empirical test results. This data then, was used to find the validity and reliability of the developed instrument. The instrument validity was calculated using the formula correlation product momment, the results obtained that 4 items were invalid, Item numbers 2, 8, 9, and 12, while for the instrument reliability  was calculated using Cronbach alpha formula which had moderate reliability value. For interater reliability involved two (2) teachers as assessors. From the data obtained, then it was calculated using the Ebel formula and had a value that was a very high degree of reliability. Furthermore, the practicality of the instrument was calculated using the theoretical ideal benchmark assessment, and had a very practical level criteria

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan pendekatan liberal (bebas) dengan teknik forum terhadap hasil belajar Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 1 Sukasada.Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu (quasi eksperimen) dengan rancangan penelitian Posttest-Only Control Group Design.Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Sukasada Tahun Ajaran 2012/2013.Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII D dan VII F yang berjumlah 61 orang.Kelas yang digunakan sebagai kelas eksperimen adalah kelas VII D dan kelas VII F digunakan sebagai kelas kontrol.Pada akhir pembelajaran, kedua kelas diberikan tes yang berbentuk pilihan ganda untuk mengukur ranah kognitif.Data hasil belajar TIK selanjutnya dianalisis yang meliputi uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji t. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang diperoleh, kedua kelompok berdistribusi normal dan homogeny.Sedangkan untuk uji t menunjukkan nilai thitung< nilai ttabel yaitu 0,510 < 2,000. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajr Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan pendekatan liberal (bebas) dengan teknik forum dengan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan pendekatan konvensional pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Sukasada.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui  perbedaan hasil belajar Teknologi Informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan metode pembelajaran The Learning Cell dengan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan metode pembelajaran Artikulasi pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Seririt semester genap Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi eksperimen) dengan rancangan penelitian Posttest-Only Control Grup Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Seririt tahun ajaran 2012/2013. Sebagai sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VII.D dan VII.E yang berjumlah 47 orang. Kelas VII.E digunakan sebagai kelas eksperimen I dan VII.D sebagai kelas eksperimen II. Terdapat dua jenis variabel dalam penelitian ini yaitu (1) variabel bebas adalah metode pembelajaran The Learning Cell dan metode pembelajaran Artikulasi , dan (2) variabel terikat adalah hasil belajar siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes berbentuk  pilihan ganda  untuk mengukur ranah kognitif. Data hasil belajar kemudian dianalisis  menggunakan uji-t, dengan sebelumnya dilakukan uji prasyarat yang meliputi uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh bahwa, kedua kelompok berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Untuk hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh t hitung 3.553 dengan t tabel 2.014. Hal ini berarti terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar TIK siswa antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan metode Artikulasi dengan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan metode pembelajaran The Learning Cell. Nilai rata-rata hasil belajar kelompok siswa dengan model pembelajaran Artikulas adalah 31,68 dengan standar deviasi 2,52 dan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar kelompok siswa dengan model pembelajaran The Learning Cell adalah 29,02 dengan standar deviasi 2,60. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa hasil belajar siswa dengan model pembelajaran Artikulasi lebih tinggi dari model pembelajaran The Learning Cell.

Abstract

Pembelajaran dengan cara ceramah dan tanyajawab yang dilakukan selama mata pelajaran pembuatanStoryboard tidaklah efektif, terlebih lagi denganminimnya sumber belajar yang dimiliki siswa.Pembuatan modul ajar Storyboard bertujuan untukmembantu dalam melaksanakan kegiatan belajar,sehingga peserta didik dapat belajar mandiri dan gurumudah dalam menyampaikan materi ajar dengan konsepyang jelas, dengan begitu peserta didik bisa lebih mudahdalam menumbuhkan daya imajinasinya. Modul ajarStoryboard dibuat untuk kelas XI Multimedia di sekolahSMK Negeri 1 Sawan.Tahapan pengembangan menggunakan Penelitiandan Pengembangan (Research and Development atauR&D) dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design,Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Penelitianini melibatkan siswa kelas XI Multimedia SMK Negeri1 Sawan tahun ajaran 2013/2014.Modul ajar Storyboard ini menggunakan metodepembelajaran Drill and Practice yang bertujuanmengerjakan suatu latihan-latihan secara berulang untukmendapatkan ketrampilan. Dari analisis diperoleh gainscore 0,73 yang menunjukan efektifitas modul dalamkategori tinggi.

Abstract

This Classroom Action Research aims to: 1) improve student learning outcomes through True False techniques partisiatif approach, 2) determine students' response to the approach of Participatory Techniques True False. This study was conducted to further increase student participation in the learning KKPI through card statement containing the statement is true or false.  This study was classroom action research, which took place in the SMK N 1 Sawan and was taken in 2nd semester in the academic year 2012/2013. The subject of this research was the XIMM4th grade students of SMK N 1 Sawan in the academic year 2012/2013 with the object were result study research and the students’ response. The data of the students’ result study was collected by the test in every end of the cycle and the students’ response was collected by closed questionnaire.   The results showed that: (1) student learning outcomes has increased from cycle I to cycle II (2) The response of students to the True False Techniques Participatory approaches in KKPI subjects are in positive qualification.

Abstract

Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini bertujuan untuk: 1) meningkatan hasil belajar siswa melalui implementasi metode pembelajaran Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS), 2) mendeskripsikan respon siswa terhadap pengimplementasian metode pembelajaran Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS). Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), yang bertempat di SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja dan dilaksanakan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2012/2013. Subjek penelitiannya adalah siswa kelas VIII.B3 SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja Tahun Ajaran 2012/2013 dengan objek penelitian hasil belajar dan respon siswa. Data hasil belajar siswa dikumpulkan melalui tes pada setiap akhir siklus sedangkan untuk respon siswa dikumpulkan melalui angket tertutup. Data-data yang dikumpulkan selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan sebesar 12,74% yaitu dari 65,26 pada siklus 1 menjadi 78,00 pada siklus II, 2) ketuntasan secara klasikal pada siklus I yaitu sebesar 30% meningkat menjadi 80% pada siklus II, 3) respon siswa terhadap metode pembelajaran TAPPS pada mata pelajaran TIK berada pada kualifikasi positif dengan rata-rata sebesar 59.

Abstract

This research aims to(1) Design instructional module program concepts scientifict orientation site with project based learning. (2) Implementing Instructional Module Programming the Web with Scientifict oriented concept of Project Based LearningThis type of research use in this study is the research ad development (Research and development or R & D). With the model ADDIE (Analysis,Desaign,Development,Implementation,Evaluation). This research involve multimedia students of SMK Negeri 2 Seririt on academic years 2014/2015.Data of student learning resource obtained by using interviews. Validation of web program teaching module obtained by using questionnaires.the data obtained are analyzed descriptively.Teaching module development web programming with PJBL oriented scientific concept. The results of the data analysis of student responses indicate the student to provide an assessment with an average percentage of 89%, so if the percentage is converted into a good qualification.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there were differences in Information Communication Technology (ICT) learning outcomes between the groups of students who were taught by using Questions Students Have learning methods and a group of students who were taught by using conventional methods. This was a quasi-experimental study and the non equivalent post- test only control group was used as the design. The population of this study was the entire students of SMP Negeri 1 Sukasada in the academic year of 2012/2013. The total sample used in this study was 67 students. These samples were taken from VIII.H class as the experimental group and VIII.G class as the control group. The data of students’ learning outcome was collected using a multiple-choice test method for measuring the cognitive, and then it was analyzed by conducting precondition test which included normality test and homogeneity test, t-test. Based on the data analysis, the result of normality and homogeneity test of both group are having normal and homogeneous distribution. There is a significant effect of learning outcomes between students who were taught by using Questions Students Have learning methods and a group of students who were taught by  using conventional methods. The mean score of students who are taught by using conventional learning method is 26.63 with a standard deviation of 3.63 and the mean score of students who are taught by using Questions Students Have learning methods is 32.88 with a standard deviation of 3.84. This shows that the students who are taught by using Questions Students Have learning methods have higher learning outcomes than conventional learning methods.
