Abstract

Mortality and morbidity due to bleeding occur due to delayed care. On the island, more advanced technology models based on the 4.0 digital development facilities and infrastructures are important to improve the health service quality. This literature review identifies modern technology-based bleeding detection as an effort to detect and diagnose early postpartum hemorrhage on the island. This systematic review study selected the data with the PRISMA protocol method. The researchers took 12 journal article outlets with years of publications from 2011 until 2020. The researchers found 587 articles. However, the most relevant articles with the applied keywords were 12 articles. Various modern technology-based detections for bleeding applied pantograph, gravimetric, bag collector, under-buttock, SAPHE mat, and scoring measurement to efficiently promote early bleeding. These investigated models were more effective than visual estimation with effectiveness percentages of 25-89%. Technology-based detections could early detect and facilitate postpartum hemorrhage and provide immediate care. High technological advancement in the health field facilitates the patients' care, especially in islands that need immediate action. The results of this research are useful to promote further research about modern-technology-based models to detect and diagnose postpartum hemorrhage in islands.

Abstract

Background: Reports show the prenatal anxiety of Indonesia reaches a percentage of 28.7% of mothers experience anxiety. The COVID-19 pandemic influences pregnant mothers’ psychology, 76.2%. The physical, psychological, and spiritual balance of pregnant mothers should be healthily balanced.  This healthy balance includes the childbirth process to avoid psychological interruption. The use of android application information for obstetric service could improve maternal quality by providing intervention autonomously. Method: This Research & Development used True Experimental Pre and Post-test with Control Group Design. The intervention was with MiSIs-PreTy application to lose the anxiety of primipara pregnant mothers with Trimester III status on the experimental group for 7 days. Every day, the mothers received 30 minutes of implementation. The positive control group, on the other hand, received health education about childbirth preparation. The researchers took 30 respondents as the samples randomly. The data analysis was tested with non-parametric Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney tests. Results: The experts’ validation about the developed application reliability obtained an average score of 92.80% from six aspects. They were based on the ISO 9126 software’s quality, such as usability, reliability, functionality, efficiency, maintainability, and portability. The experiment used the given intervention for both groups. It was effective to lose the anxiety. The effectiveness for experimental group was p < 0.001 while control group obtained p < 0.005. However, the use of the developed application was more effective to lose the anxiety with an average score of 11,8±5,414 for the experimental group than the positive control group with 4,46±4,24. Conclusion: The developed application, MiSIs-PreTy, was validated and revised to be more effective to lose the anxiety of pregnant mothers. Further researches could develop the findings by adding some variables, such as childbirth self-efficacy as the valid measuring tool to examine the pregnant mothers' belief to give birth.

Abstract

One of the public health problems that occur in infants and toddlers on Indonesia is stunting. The prevalence of stunting in the Riau Island Province SSGI data for 2021 shows an increase in the prevalence of stunting from 7.21% to 17.6%. One of the efforts to prevent stunting is to overcome anemia. The prevalence rate of anemia is still high due to the low level of adherence of pregnant women in taking iron supplements. This study aimed for accurate, precise, and up-to-date information to prevent anemia and stunting. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Si NaNing Module on the independence of pregnant women in preventing anemia and a quasi-experimental conducted in Tanjungpinaa ng City from May to October 2022. The research design was a quasi-experimental design with a pre-posttest with control group design. The instrument used is a questionnaire. The population in this study were all pregnant women in Tanjungpinang City. The sample in this study were 100 experimental respondents and 100 control respondents. Data analysis used the T test. The results showed that there was an effect of the module on responsibility (p-value 0.001), autonomy (p-value 0.001), initiative (p-value 0.001), and self-control (p- value 0.001) on anemia prevention and stunting. Thus, the Si NaNing Module can be used as an effort to increase mother's independence in preventing anemia and stunting.
