Abstract

Zakat is an obligation that must be carried out by muzakki that not only aims to carry out obligations to Almighty but sharp-edged nature of social justice among mankind. Therefore charity must be managed properly by the board amilin especially by channeling zakat use specifically targeted at Tasikmalaya City Baznas charity board.The study was to examine the affairs of Baznas perzakatan at Tasikmalaya City. Analysis tool used namely Analysis Network Process (ANP) is a qualitative-quantitative method using super decision software . The analysis showed that there is an internal problem which consists of lacking leadership and lacking performance OPZ performance. The problems consist of the absence of external PERDA about channeling zakat institutions and communities less know Baznas. As for an internal solution consisting of leadership and performance maximization of transparency and distribution, while the external solution consisted of socialization and support Baznas scholars. Kendall coefficient ( W ) ranged from 0.970 to 0.9975 means that all respondents have the same relative answer.

Abstract

The Development of Islamic Banking Industry in Indonesia relatively shows a good tendency. In the market, inefficiency would be the great obstacles in head to head to conventional bank. Despite of efficiency performance in Islamic Bank, Islamic Bank also must have sharia compliance performance. So it needed to identified the efficiency of Islamic Bank in Indonesia and the achievement of Maslahah in term of three aspects, there are education, the creating of justice, and the attainment of welfare. This study would try to measure the efficiency of Islamic Banking Industry with Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method and also to evaluate the performance by using Maqasid Sharia Index (MSI). Banxia Frontier Analyst 3.1 used in the data calculation. The calculation of the level of Islamic Bank efficiency in this study are relative, not absolute. Result of this study indicate four main findings, first, Islamic bank involve in quadran 1 is Islamic bank who reached the highest efficiency and the best performance; there are BMI and Bank Panin Sharia. Islamic bank involve in quadran 2 is Islamic bank who reached the highest efficiency and the lowest performance, there are BSM, Maybank Sharia, and Bank Sharia Bukopin. Islamic bank involve in quadran 3 is Islamic bank who reached the lowest efficiency and have a good performance, there are BRI sharia, and BCA sharia. Islamic bank involve in quadran 4 is Islamic bank who reached the lowest efficiency and the lowest performance, there are Bank Mega Sharia, Victoria Sharia, BNI Sharia, and BJB Sharia.Keywords: Maqasid Index, Efficiency, DEA, Efficiency-Maqasid Quadrant (EMQ)

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analysis the level of efficiency of Islamic banks through the ratio used as a measure of operational efficiency that is the operational expense tooperational revenue, knowing the level of bank performance of the assessment in accordance with the principles of islamic bank is maqashidsharia index, and know the cluster quadrant of each syariah bank through a combination of efficiency assessment and performance of maqashidsharia. All research data is taken from the financial statements of Islamic banks in Indonesia through their respective websites. The research period is the year 2012 until 2016. The results showed that banks that are in the highest efficiency quadrant and high performance of sharia maqashidis Panin Bank of sharia. The results of this study indicate that PaninSyariah bank has successfully used operational costs to obtain high operating income, and has also succeeded in achieving good performance of sharia maqashidcompared with other Islamic banks in Indonesia.

Abstract

LKMS is a financial institution that is oriented towards improving the welfare of members and society. Despite growing rapidly, LKMS is still experiencing many obstacles in its development. There are still many problems faced by this institution both from the internal and external side. This study attempts to identify the causes and factors that are dominantly an obstacle to the development of LKMS in Indonesia, using IFAS EFAS Matrix and SWOT approaches, along with the solutions offered. Based on the IFE analysis that the highest rating of the power of small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) is followed by high local initiative. While the weakness rating is the cost of human resource training and entrepreneurship training followed by the cost of licensing. The results of EFE analysis that the highest ranking of the opportunities that are financed sector is very flexible followed by the public interest factor toward sharia transaction is getting bigger. While the highest ranking of threats is competition followed by weak regulation and legality LKMS. It is expected that there will be a joint commitment from various parties either from policymakers or academics and practitioners in supporting and encouraging the development effort of sharia finance industry, especially in this case LKMS.

Abstract

Islamic capital market is the investment alternatives in accordance with Islamic law. However, the purpose of investing is to obtain a high return stock. This study aimed to analyze the fundamental factors in predicting stock return of sharia with systematic risk as a mediating variable. Fundamental factors measured by DER, EPS, ROA, PER and NPM and systematic risk measured by beta. Data taken from the Islamic capital market through the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) in a span of research in 2013 and 2014. The analysis used is multiple regression analysis and Sobel test. The results showed that DER and PER positive effect on sharia stock return, beta negative effect on sharia stock return and EPS, ROA and NPM no effect on sharia stock return. Whereas in mediating variable testing, the beta did not mediate the relationship between DER, EPS, ROA, NPM and PER to sharia stock return.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to identify the factors of various backgrounds in the literature having to do with halal purchase intention of Muslim travellers on halal travel and tourism sector. It also aims to investigate which antecedents, among all, that have the dominant determinants toward the development of halal travel and tourism purchaseintention. A total of 255 respondents originating from several major cities of West Java were involved in random sampling technique to measure their personal perception on the determinant factors of halal purchase intention. Data were collected through structured questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale. The questionnaire has been divided into two main parts, the first part identifies the respondent identity, while the second part provide 6 main sub-part statements on halal awareness, personal societal perception, religious belief, halal marketing, halal travel & tourism, and infrastructure. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) will be used to acquire the most critical to the least critical indicators in explaining purchase intention on halal travel and tourism industry sector. The paper concludes that most customers rely on halal marketing, making it the dominant determinant factor. Meanwhile, the second dominant determinant is halal travel and tourism. Then, the third determinant is halal awareness. Religious beliefs and personal societal perceptions are the last two priorities. This paper offers a detailed insight into various behaviors of customer’s purchase intention on halal travel and tourism sector as well as delivers a new model of purchase intention through detailed latent-variables. Finally, the relevant stakeholders, in particular government, should enhance the halal marketing on travel and tourism through various programs and activities, such as massive promotion, socialization, and literacy.

Abstract

It is important to do research on public sentiment towards microtakaful presence in a country in order to know public response to its existence. This study aimed to determine public sentiment towards microtakaful in Indonesia and in Malaysia. Data were collected from 40 articles, journals and other writings. Data were analyzed using the software Semantria as an analytical tool in the form of text. The results showed that the assessment of existence of microtakaful in Indonesia amounted to 52% of the community showed positive sentiment, 28% indicate negative sentiment and 20% indicates a neutral sentiment. While in Malaysia that 62% showed positive sentiment, 23% negative sentiment and 15% neutral sentiment.

Abstract

Prioriting Zakat Core Principles CriteriaZakat Institution (OPZ) is the intermediary organizations based on social. The entire of operating expense is taken from the zakat and infaq funds collected. The Zakat Core Principles are a starting point for the frameworks and standards of zakat-based governance best practices. The Zakat Core Principles is mainly aimed to improve the quality of the zakat systems by identifying such weaknesses in the existing of supervision and regulation. This study try to prioritize the Principles of ZCP and also the essential criteria from each level using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP).There are five core principles of charity principle, consisting of: regulation, supervision, collection and disbursement management, risk management, and audit and transparency. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the role of the board of directors as an operating executive, as the company's supervisory board of commissioners, the proportion of managerial ownership and institutional ownership as well as leverage on the financial performance of Islamic insurance industry. The method used is multiple regression analysis and Moderated Regression Analysis. Data of company successfully researched as many as 15 Islamic insurance companies in Indonesia with a study period of 2011 to 2015. The results showed that the board does not affect the financial performance of Takaful. Commissioners, managerial ownership, institutional ownership and leverage positive effect on the financial performance of Islamic insurance industry in Indonesia. The size of the company weakens the relationship between the number of directors and leverage to financial performance, and did not moderate the relationship between the number of commissioners, managerial ownership and institutional ownership of the financial performance of Islamic insurance industry..DOI: 10.15408/etk.v16i1.4648

Abstract

One of the important strategies in runninga businessis to maintain employee morale. However,the spirit must be supported with the factors that influence it. Therefore, this study aimed to measure whet her job satisfaction and organizational commitment affects employee morale. This study was conducted to employees of PDAM TirtaSukapura, Tasikmalaya by the number of respondents was 198 people. The results showed that job satisfaction significantly influence organizational commitment, organizational commitment have a significant effecton morale, job satisfaction have a significant effecton morale, and organization commitment mediates the relationship between job satisfaction on morale. It is thus that employee morale PDAM Tirta Sukapura influenced by job satisfaction and organizational commitment.
