Abstract

This research was conducted to review the perception of sharia fintech within the scope of the sharia economy from the perspective of sentiment research on Twitter social media users in response to the development of sharia fintech. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with descriptive statistics from the literature study in the form of 2131 Twitter tweets. A Python library software called VADER (Valence Aware Dictionary and Sentiment Reasoner) is used to classify tweets. Sentiment analysis results tend to perceive neutral sentiment at 80.8%, positive sentiment at 16.2%, and negative sentiment at 3.0%. The diversity of sentiment results shows that there are pros and cons to the development of sharia fintech. The benefits of this research are literature and considerations related to the development of sharia fintech and efforts to identify weaknesses and threats in the form of negative perceptions of the implementation of sharia fintech. In addition, to find out positive perceptions, strengths, potential, and benefits of Islamic fintech. This research is the first comprehensive study to discuss sentiment analysis on sharia fintech themes with Twitter tweet data. Suggestions for further research and recommendations are listed.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of macroeconomic variables and global stock indices on the financial sector stock index in Indonesia. The data used is secondary data in the form of monthly time series from January 2010 to December 2019, which comes from Bank Indonesia, the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), and Yahoo Finance. The variables of this study include the Jakarta Islamic Index (Indonesia), IDX Sectoral Index (Indonesia), Money Supply Inflation, Rupiah against USD Exchange Rate, Crude Palm Oil Price, Industrial Production Index, KL Financial Sectoral Index (Malaysia), SET Financial Sectoral Index (Thailand) and S&P 500 Stock Index (USA). The analysis method used is Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL). The results concluded that the short-term estimation resulted in the exchange rate variable, the Industrial Production Index (IPI), and the Thailand SET financial sector stock index having a significant effect on the JII index, while the money supply variable, the Malaysia KL financial sector stock index, the Thailand SET financial sector stock index, and the US S&P 500 stock index had a significant effect on the IDX financial sector index. Then, the long-term estimation found that the Thailand SET financial sector stock index variable has a significant effect on the JII. Then, in the IDX financial sector index model, there are two significant variables, namely money supply and Industrial Production Index.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the development map of Islamic Management based on Scopus indexed journals. The analyzed data includes 369 indexed research publications. The export data is then processed and analyzed using the R Biblioshiny application program to identify the bibliometric map of the development of Islamic management. The results show that the number of publications on the development of the role of Islamic management research has increased significantly. The results also show that the most types of documents are journal articles. Journal of Islamic Accounting and Business Research is the top journal. The most famous authors are Hassan MK, Alam MK, Rahman MM, Haron R, Sukmana R, Ascarya A, Abd Wahab N, and Ali M, and the most popular keyword topic is Islamic banks with the popular theme of financial. Then, five research clusters were also obtained based on the topic of Islamic management.

Abstract

The objective of this paper was to formulate model and identify the most priorities criteria to enhance the role of Non Bank-Islamic Financial Industry (Non Bank Financial Services). This research also tried to find which NB-IFI with the highest priorities to be improved. This research also tried to compare the priorities result based on two approaches-methods, there are AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) where the network connection is hierarchy, and ANP (Analytic Network Process) where the network connection is feedback. Indepth interview to some academician, practitioners, and regulators who has better knowledge related to Non Bank-Islamic Financial Industry was used to formulate AHP and ANP model. The result of this study indicates that the most priorities criterian to enhance the role of Non Bank-Islamic Financial Industry is tough, manageable, and steady NB-IFI. The most priorities of sub criteria ‘tough, manageable, and steady NB-IFI’ are strengthening the institutional system, modal aspect, and operational activity aspect and business capacity. The most priorities of sub criteria ‘NB-IFI and financial inculsion’ are NB-IFI products development based on the needs of society. The most priorities of sub criteria ‘Human Resource, Infrastructures and Information Technology support’ are NB-IFI infrastructure development to bolster up business process. Alternative priority to enhance NB-IFI in Indonesia is Islamic Financing Institutions. We can conclude that there is no difference results between both approaches were used. Both AHP and ANP have the same priority result to synthesize the most priorities criterian and alternative in this research model.
