Abstract

The research was carried out in November-December 2019 in Haranggaol Village, Haranggaol Horison District, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra Province. The purpose of the study was to determine the amount of investment, income and profit, as well as to analyze the comparison of investment feasibility with investment criteria such as RCR, PPC, and FRR for small-scale Tilapia and Goldfish KJA businesses. The method used in this study is a survey method. The results of the study showed that a KJA business with 4 bags for Tilapia required an investment of Rp. 167,616,000 while the Goldfish is Rp.139,616,000. The income for one harvest for the Tilapia KJA business is Rp. 35,943,125 and for the Goldfish KJA Rp. 24,863,125. Based on the investment criteria for the Tilapia KJA, the RCR value was 1.2, the PPC was 2.35 years and the FRR was 42%, and the Carp KJA had an RCR value of 1.25%, PPC was 2.8 years, and an FRR was 36%.

Abstract

The research about Implementation of minister of marine and fisheries regulation Number 71/PERMEN-KP/2016 was carried out from 3 June to 10 June 2020 in PPN Sibolga, North Sumatra Province. The purpose of this study was to find out implementation, fishermen's responses, and problems that arries because this regulation Number 71/PERMEN-KP/2016 about fishing gear purse seine in PPN Sibolga, North Sumatra Province. The research approach used in this study is qualitative approach with Case study metodhs. Data retrival conducted by researchers is by interviews, observation and documentations. While data analysis is done trough three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion / verification. The results showed that all respondents studied 100% has been implemented this policy Number 71/PERMEN-KP/2016, almost all of the respondents rejected the policy, and the problems that arrise because of the policy is considered detrimental to fisherman who use vessels under 30 GT.

Abstract

This research was held in August 2019 in Bengkalis Subdistrict. Research objectives is to find out how the productions and incomes of shrimp paste bussiness in each bussiness unit. The method use is survey method. Respondents of this research are owners of shrimp paste bussiness they are 5 unit in total. Based on result of the research that this bussiness used salts and pepai-shrimps as main ingredients. The production process occur in 2 weeks approximately. There are 2 outputs of this process that first was the ready consumed shrimp paste and second was half processed shrimp paste. Bussiness unit with highest production is bussiness unit that own by bussiness owner C that have 6000kg/year as annual production and IDR44.292.000,-/year as net incomes. The lowest is bussiness unit that own by bussiness owner C that have 1.200 kg/year as annual production and IDR5.429.000,00,-/year as net incomes. Total production of shrimp paste in Bengkalis Subdistict was 16.100 kg/year. 5.700 kg in the form was half processed shrimp paste and 10.400 kg in the form was the ready consumed shrimp paste.

Abstract

This research was conducted on March 9 until 25 2020 in Sibaganding Village, Girsang Sipangan Bolon Sub-District, Simalungun Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the marketing mix of fish feed for various brands and to determine consumer assessment of the marketing mix of fish feed for various brands in Sibaganding Village. The method used in this research is a survey method with a descriptive qualitative approach. The technique of determining respondents used purposive sampling and stratified random sampling. The results showed that the marketing mix strategy of the feed companies Comfeed, Pokhpand, Cargill and Sinta had implemented the 4P marketing mix, namely product, promotion, price and distribution. By marketing fish feed in Sibaganding Village, the company implements various 4Ps, namely, product (protein content and product variation); price level (weight of feed / packaging and type of feed); promotions (word of mouth, social media and discounts); location and distribution (company location, distributor and direct distribution). Based on consumer assessments of the 4P marketing mix applied by feed companies, namely 37% of consumers to buy fish feed products with the main choice being promotions given by the company, then 30% for products, 20% for prices and 13% for location and distribution

Abstract

This research was conducted in Januari 2019 in UPR Mina Sepakat Jaya Tenayan Raya District, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. This research aimed to determine the amount of investment needed and to analysis the financial feasibility of UPR Mina Sepakat Jaya in Tenayan Raya District, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. The method used is a case studyand determining the respondents using the census method. The result showed that the initial investment needed in catfish hatchery business in UPR Mina Sepakat Jaya about IDR 101.920.000,- – IDR 112.216.000,-. This catfish hatchery business is feasible to proceed based on range of RCR value from 2,91 to 3,33, on FRR value >bank interest rate, and PPC ranged from 0,9 to 1,1.

Abstract

The research was conducted in January 2020, in Haranggaol Village, Haranggaol Horison Sub-District, Simalungun Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the production of Goldfish, Tilapia, and Catfish cultivated in KJA and to analyze the factors that affect business productivity in KJA. Research method is Survey, with quantitative analysis and Cobb Douglas were used to analyze the data of this study. The results showed that Tilapia production of 7.066 bags of cages was 18.856,3 tons/year, Goldfish production of 84 bags of cages which were polyculture was 145,6 tons/year and Catfish production of 9 bags of cages was 14,17 tons/year. Every farmer in this village was harverst for Goldfish and Tilapia twice for a year and Catfish three times for year. Each harvest, the Tilapia weight was 250-500 gr/fish, Goldfish 500-600 gr/fish, and Catfish 250 gr/fish. The selling price of Tilapia was IDR.22.000,-/kg, Goldfish IDR.28.000,-/kg, and Catfish IDR.12.000,-/kg. The results showed that the factors that affect productivity were seeds, feed, and the number of cages. The result shows that simultaneously there was a significant affect of these three factors to the productivity of the fish. Partially the factors of seeds and feed production were significant, while the number of cages had no significant affect. The regression result showed the value of Adjusted R Square is 0,0898 or 89%, and it can be concluded that 89% of the total fish production in KJA was based on the factors of seed production (X1), feed (X2), and the number of cages (X3), and the rest 11% are variables outside of this research.

Abstract

The use of input in supporting the success of fish cultivation is the availability of seeds and feed that qualify both quality, quantity and continuity. The input supply chain system in floating net keramba business is known through chain and flow chain actors. The goal that wants to be achieved in this study is to find out the amount of use of seed input and feed and input supply chain system in Haranggaol Village.Research was carried out in Haranggaol Village of Simalungun Regency of North Sumatra Province on February 9 – March 9, 2020. This research is a descriptive study with survey methods. The results showed that KJA Business in Haranggaol Village with a total of 7,075 bags per year requires tilapia fish seed (Monoculture) of 95,139,000 tails, Goldfish and Tilapia (Polyculture) seeds are tilapia seeds 1,520,000 tails and goldfish 289,000 tails and catfish seeds are 138,000 tails. The amount of feed for tilapia is 36,266,180 kg, goldfish and tilapia feed is 17,431,160 kg and catfish feed is 12,582 kg. The mechanism of seed input supply chain involves Seeding Cultivation and Enlargement Cultivation while feed supply chain involves Feed Factory, Large Trader and Enlargement Cultivation. There are product flows, financial flows and information flows in Haranggaol Village.

Abstract

Striped Catfish (Pangasius sp) is a freshwater fish that has good prospects for development because it has important economic value, this is because the selling price is quite high and can be marketed in fresh and processed forms. Striped catfish in Riau Province has been developed by the community, especially in Kampar Regency. This research was conducted in Koto Masjid Village, Kampar Regency in November 2021. This study aims to determine the business feasibility and prospects for the development of striped catfish farming. This research uses survey method. Data analysis was carried out on aquaculture with a pond area of 1000 m2. Business analysis is carried out on investment, fixed capital, working capital and profits. Data analysis used to determine the financial feasibility of a business is Revenue Cost of Ratio (RCR), financial Rate of Return (FRR), and Payback Period of Capital (PPC). Respondents in this study were Striped Catfish cultivators, feed entrepreneurs, and hatcheries. The results showed that the catfish farming business was very feasible to be developed both in terms of profit, business feasibility and sustainability aspects. The prospect of developing this business is very good in terms of input, production process, and market demand. In addition, there is still land available for striped catfish cultivation, making it possible for business expansion
