Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan pemodelan dalam perkuliahan strategi belajar mengajar untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep, kemampuan merancang skenario pembelajaran biologi dan komunikasi mahasiswa. Subyek penelitianadalah mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi FKIP UMSurabaya angkatan tahun 2013 pada semester 3 tahun akademik 2014/2015. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang menggunakan prosedur Lesson Study Cycle (Plan, Do, See) sebanyak 4 siklus. Instrumenyang digunakan adalah lembar tes tulis untuk penguasaan konsep model-model pembelajaran, lembar penilaian produk untuk kemampuan merancang skenario pembelajaran biologi dan lembar observasi untuk menilai kemampuan komunikasi mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa:1). Rancangan pembelajaran yangdihasilkan memuat kegiatan inti yang terdiri dari (a) tahap eksplorasi merupakan pemodelan suatu model pembelajaran tertentu yang dilakukan oleh dosen dan mahasiswa bertindak sebagai siswa dan sekaligus sebagai pengamat (observer). Pemodelan ini menggunakanRPP dan LKS pemodelan; (b). Tahap elaborasi di mana mahasiswa secara berkelompok berdiskusi untuk mengerjakan LKM berdasarkan hasil pengamatan mereka; (c). Pada tahap konfirmasi, dosen membimbing mahasiswa mengerjakan LKM dan melakukan diskusikelompok serta memberi umpan balik. Penggunaan pemodelan dapat meningkatkan:1). Penguasan konsep model-model pembelajaran pada mahasiswa mencapai nilai rata-rata 80,3; 2). Kemampuan mahasiswa dalam merancang skenario pembelajaran biologi, secara kelompok mencapai nilai rata-rata 82,62, sedangkan secara individu mencapai 89,15; 3). Kemampuan komunikasi mahasiswa dalam menyampaikan hasil pengamatan dan hasil rancangan dalam diskusi kelompok/kelas, serta kemampuan mahasiswa memberikan tanggapan/jawaban pertanyaan termasuk kategori baik.

Abstract

Penyakit infeksi merupakan penyakit yang sangat populer di Indonesia sejak lalu, diantaranya infeksi usus (diare). Beberapa bakteri yang dapat menyebabkan diare yaitu Escherichia coli, Vibrio cholera, Shigella sp dan Campylobacter. Pengobatan diare bisa dilakukan dengan pemberian obat-obat kimia dan obat-obat tradisional. Pilihan bahan yang mungkin dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif antibakteri adalah tanaman kersen (Muntingia Calabura L). Penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak dari daun kersen (Muntingia Calabura L) mampu menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri karena kandungan yang terdapat di dalamnya seperti flavonoid, tanin dan saponin. Sedangkan penelitian ini menggunakan perasan. Penelitian berikut ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perasan daun kersen (Muntingia Calabura L) terhadap pertumbuhan Escherichia coli. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimental. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah bakteri Escherichia coli yang diambil dari biakan murni Escherichia coli yang ditanam di media NAS(Nutrient agar slant), dan yang digunakan sebagai sampel adalah bakteri Escherichia coli pada masing-masing konsentrasi yang dilihat pertumbuhannya pada media EMB setelah diinkubasi selama 24 jam. Jumlah pengulangan sampelnya sebanyak 3 kali dan 11 perlakuan yaitu 100%, 90%, 80%, 70%, 60%, 50%, 40%, 30%, 20%, 10% dan 0% (sebagai kontrol). Data pertumbuhan bakteri Escherichia coli diperoleh melalui uji laboratorium. Analisa data statistik menggunakan uji Chi-square dengan taraf signifikan 0,05 untuk menentukan ada tidaknya pengaruh perasan daun kersen (Muntingia calabura L) terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri Escherichia coli. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada konsentrasi 100% dan 90% mampu menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Escherichia coli, dan sedangkan pada konsentrasi 80% kebawah tidak mampu menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Escherichia coli.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology in the era of globalization affects the world of education. As a result, learning must be able to adapt by utilizing technology. in line with this, there are problems in learning biology such as the lack of understanding a biological concepts, learning motivation and learning independence of students. As the consequency, the learning outcomes is declining. This study aims to determine the needs and potentials of teachers and students in learning biology as the basis for developing an Integrated GITTW (Group Investigation and Think Talk Write) Hybrid Learning Model strategy in Biology learning. This research is a descriptive type with the research subjects of teachers and students of grade X science at Senior High School in the city of Surabaya. Data were collected through observation, documentation, questionnaires and interviews. The results of the study reveal that teachers and students need the learning innovations by utilizing learning technology. The integration of technology in learning makes it easier for students to obtain information from various media and learning resources. The hybrid learning model integrated with the GITTW strategy with Moodle-based media makes learning more effective, efficient, and interesting and according to students' interests in using media such as smartphones and laptops. Through the model that will be developed, learning problems in comprehending biological concepts, learning activities and motivations as well as students' learning independence that are lacking in biology learning are expected to be resolved. Based on this fact, it is necessary to develop a hybrid learning model that integrates the GITTW strategy in biology learning.

Abstract

The low critical thinking skills and collaboration skills of students in biology learning are caused by the dominance of conventional learning, so they require alternative learning strategies. This study aims to determine the effect of GITTW learning strategy on student critical thinking and collaboration skills. The research design used was quasi-experiment with a pre-test and post-test control group design. The class X of Science-2 and of Science-3 SMA Negeri 01 Paciran became sample (N=72), with details; the control class and treatment class consisting of 36 students. Data collection critical thinking skills using easy test before and after treatment with Facione rubric developed and data collaborative skills using observation sheet assessment rubric developed by Suharti. Data were analyzed descriptively and statistically through normality test, Wilcoxon test with =0.05, and N-gain test. The results showed that the GITTW learning strategy had an effective effect, and can be applied by the teacher as an alternative learning strategy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan kemampuan berfikir kritis dan motivasi belajar siswa, serta mengetahui keterlaksanaan pembelajaran discovery learning pada siswa Miftahuddeen School, Nathawee District, Thailand. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, angket, dan tes hasil belajar siswa. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan keterlaksanaan pengelolaan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model discovery learning mengalami peningkatan. Pada siklus I skor rata-rata keseluruhan 3,60 dan pada siklus II skor rata-rata keleuruhan siswa yaitu 3,83 dengan kategori sangat baik. Kemampuan berfikir kritis siswa dengan menggunakan model discovery learning mengalami peningkatan pada siklus I sebesar 74,44% dan siklus II sebesar 82,78%. Pada observasi peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa dapat diketahui pada siklus I ada 6 siswa yang motivasinya dibawah 50%, sedangkan pada siklus II tidak ada siswa yang motivasinya dibawah 50% dan sebanyak 14 siswa yang motivasi belajarnya meningkat.

Abstract

Abstrak:  Limbah sayur-sayuran (Sawi putih, sawi hijau dan kubis) dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai pupuk organik cair (POC) karena mengandung unsur hara yang digunakan untuk membantu pertumbuhan tanaman seperti sawi pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon pertumbuha n tanaman sawi pakcoy terhadap pemberian pupuk organik cair limbah sayur-sayuran. Jenis penelitia n adalah penelitian eksperimen, dan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap, dengan 3 perlakuan (POC limbah sayur-sayuran, POC limbah sayur-sayuran + pupuk kandang dan pupuk kandang), dan 9 ulangan. Pengamatan dilakukan terhadap 2 parameter yaitu tinggi tanaman dan jumlah helai daun. Hasil analysis of variance menunjukkan ada perbedaan tinggi tanaman dan jumlah helai daun antar perlakuan. Hasil LSD menunjukan bahwa perlakuan POC limbah sayuran dengan POC limbah sayuran dicampur pupuk kandang memberikan hasil pertumbuhan yang tidak berbeda, baik pada tinggi tanaman maupun jumla h helai daun. Katakunci: Pupuk organik cair, Limbah, Sayur-sayuran, Pertumbuhan tanaman, Sawi  pokcoy.

Abstract

Sanggara Bimbingan (SB) Muhammadiyah Kepong Kuala Lumpur Malaysia yang didirikan sejak 2022 oleh Pimpinan Cabang Istimewa Muhammadiyah Malaysia (PCIM), sampai saat ini masih menghadapi berbagai masalah dalam pemberikan layanan pendidikan kepada warga migran Indiensia. Guru pengajar atau tenaga pendidik atau pembimbing di sanggar masih kurang. Kurangnya tenaga pendidik pada lembaga-lembaga pendidikan Indonesia yang ada di Malaysia, berpengaruh terhadap kualitas pendidikannya. Bukan hanya jumlah tenaga pendidik atau pembimbing di sanggar yang masih kurang, tetapi permasalahan metode pembelajaran yang digunakan guru atau tenaga pendidik di SB juga belum sesuai dengan berkembangan tantangan jaman sekarang dan masa yang akan datang. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan memberikan wawasan pemahaman dan keterampilan pedagogik kepada tenaga pendidik melalui pendidikan dan pelatihan penyusunan RPP Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Projek.  Sasaran pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah tenaga pendidik SB Muhammadiyah Kepong Kuala Lumpur Malaysia sebanyak 11 orang guru atau pendamping. Metode pengabdian yang digunakan adalah pendidikan dan latihan atau workshop. Setelah dilakukan pengabdian selama 1 bulan, peserta (guru/pembimbing) SB Kepong memberi respon, yaitu: 1) Sebanyak 60% menyatakan pengabdian kepada masyarakat sangat bermanfaat, 2) Menurut 80% guru/pembimbing materi yang disampaikan sudah sesui, (3) metode penyampaian  menurut 40% guru/pembimbing sangat sesuai, dan (4) Sebanyak 60% guru/pembimbing setuju jika pengabdian diadakan lagi dengan masalah yang lain. Kesimpulan dari hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat Internasional di SB Kepong Kuala Lumpur Malaysia sangat bermanfaat dan perlu dilakukan kembali di masa yang akan datang. Development Of Project-Based Learning Model Lesson Plans For Supervisors at SB Muhammadiyah Kepong Kuala Lumpur Malaysia Sanggara Guidance (SB) Muhammadiyah Kepong Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, which was founded in 2022 by the Leadership of the Special Branch of Muhammadiyah Malaysia (PCIM), is still facing various problems in providing educational services to Indonesian migrant citizens. There are still not enough teachers or teaching staff or supervisors in the studio. The lack of teaching staff at Indonesian educational institutions in Malaysia has an impact on the quality of education. Not only is the number of teaching staff or supervisors in studios still lacking, but the problem is that the learning methods used by teachers or teaching staff in SB are also not in line with the development of current and future challenges. This community service aims to provide insight into understanding and pedagogical skills to teaching staff through education and training in preparing RPP Project-Based Learning Models. The target of this community service is SB Muhammadiyah Kepong Kuala Lumpur Malaysia's teaching staff, totaling 11 teachers or assistants. The service methods used are education and training or workshops. After serving for 1 month, SB Kepong participants (teachers/supervisors) responded, namely: 1) As many as 60% stated that community service was very useful, 2) According to 80% of teachers/supervisors the material presented was appropriate, (3) method According to 40% of teachers/supervisors, the delivery was very appropriate, and (4) 60% of teachers/supervisors agreed if the service was held again with other problems. The conclusion from the results of service to the international community at SB Kepong Kuala Lumpur Malaysia is very useful and needs to be done again in the future

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat yang berjudul Pemberdayaan MGMP Biologi SMA dalam Mengefektifkan PR Siswa Melalui Penerapan Flipped Classroom Berbasis IT di Sidoarjo bertujuan; (1)   untuk memberikan kemampuan manajemen persiapan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan flipped classroom dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dan (2) untuk melatih keterampilan pemanfaatan IT dalam menyiapkan sumber dan media pembelajaran dengan pendekatan flipped classroom. Mitra pada pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah MGMP Biologi SMA/MA Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Pelaksanaan pengabdian menggunakan metode workshop dan pelatihan yang meliputi workshop penyusunan perangkat pembelajaran biologi dengan pendekatan flipped classroom, pelatihan pembuatan video bahan ajar berbasis Bandicam, pelatihan penggunaan LMS berbasis Moodle, dan pelatihan  pemanfaatan VR. Hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini, yaitu  sebanyak 90% peserta MGMP Biologi SMA/MA Kabupaten Sidoarjo mampu mengadminstrasikan persiapan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan flipped classroom pada platform LMS berbasis Moodle, sebanyak 85% peserta MGMP Biologi SMA/MA Kabupaten Sidoarjo mampu membuat video bahan ajar berbasis Bandicam, 95% peserta MGMP Biologi SMA/MA Kabupaten Sidoarjo mampu menggunakan VR. Adanya pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini sangat membantu guru MGMP Biologi SMA/MA Kabupaten Sidoarjo dalam meningkatkan kompetensi manajemen mengimplementasikan pendekatan Flipped Classroom dan keterampilan memanfaatkan IT pada pembelajaran biologi.  Pengabdian kepada masyarakat serupa atau bentuk lain perlu terus dilakukan kepada guru dalam menunjang tercapainya pendidikan yang lebih berkualitas dan Indonesia Emas 2045.   Empowering High School Biology MGMPs to Make Student Homework Effective Through the Implementation of IT-Based Flipped Classrooms in Sidoarjo  Community Service entitled Empowerment of MGMP Biology SMA in Making Student Homework Effective Through the Implementation of IT-Based Flipped Classroom in Sidoarjo aims to provide learning preparation management capabilities with a flipped classroom approach in improving the quality of education and to train IT utilization skills in preparing learning resources and media with a flipped classroom approach. The partner in this community service is MGMP Biology SMA/MA Sidoarjo Regency. The implementation of the service uses workshop and training methods which include workshops on preparing biology learning tools with a flipped classroom approach, training on making Bandicam-based teaching material videos, training on using Moodle-based LMS, and training on using VR. The results of this community service, namely as many as 90% of MGMP Biology SMA/MA Sidoarjo Regency participants were able to administer learning preparation with a flipped classroom approach on a Moodle-based LMS platform, as many as 85% of MGMP Biology SMA/MA Sidoarjo Regency participants were able to make Bandicam-based teaching material videos, 95% of MGMP Biology SMA/MA Sidoarjo Regency participants were able to use VR. This community service program significantly assisted high school/Islamic high school biology teachers in Sidoarjo Regency in improving their management competency in implementing the Flipped Classroom approach and their skills in utilizing IT in biology learning. Similar or other forms of community service need to be continuously carried out by teachers to support the achievement of higher quality education and Golden Indonesia 2045.

Abstract

Collaboration skills are one of the 21st-century skills that are important to develop for stu-dents because they are life tools needed when continuing their studies in school, engaging in society, and in the world of work. As a result, teachers must facilitate students' collaboration skills and measure them. Valid, reliable, and effective instruments are needed to measure students' collaboration skills. This study aims to develop an instrument to measure students' collaboration skills. This research uses a 4-D development model of defining, designing, developing, and Disseminating. At the define stage, it was found that many teachers still needed instruments to measure collaboration skills and determine indicators of collaboration skills. The design results obtained are collaboration instruments in learning. These consist of 9 indicators: contribution, time management, problem-solving, working with others, investi-gative techniques, quality of work, focus on tasks, readiness, and monitoring group effecti-veness. Next, scoring is determined. The instrument was validated by experts and tested in 2 trials. The first trial was conducted at SMAM 7 and SMAM 3 Surabaya in class XI. Vali-dity results stated that the instrument was very valid. The results of trials using the IBSC learning model show that the instrument is reliable and considerably effective in measuring collaboration skills. The novelty of this study resulted in a collaborative instrument worthy of use both theoretically and empirically.
