Abstract

This research is a quasi-experimental researchwhich aims to determine whether online learning based on WhatsApp Group with LKPD assistance is more effective than online learning based on WhatsApp Group without assistance from LKPD in terms of student learning motivation towards mathematics learning outcomes of grade VII students at SMP N 4 Sewon . The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling selected classes VII A and B. The data collection technique used a test technique in the form of a posttest, documentation for thescore pretest and a non-test technique in the form of a learning motivation questionnaire. Data were analyzed using t-test, test preconditions such normality test, mann-whitney, andtest. Kruskal WallisThe result of this research is that learning using online learning based on WhatsApp Group with the assistance of LKPD is as effective as online learning based on WhatsApp Group without assistance from LKPD and the mathematics learning outcomes of students with high motivation are better than students who have moderate and low motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) the difficulty of learning mathematics in class XI students of SMA N 1 Rowokele on the SPLDV material using an online learning system, (2) the factors that affect the difficulty of learning mathematics in class XI students of SMA N 1 Rowokele on the SPLDV material using the system. online learning. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The primary data sources in this study were students of class XI SMA N 1 Rowokele. The secondary data sources are test results and interview results. Data collection techniques using observation and interviews. The research instruments are test question sheets, interview sheets, and social media (Whatsapp). In this study, researchers used the validity of the credibility test using triangulation. The data analysis technique used in this study uses the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model which consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that, (1) the subject has difficulty in understanding the SPLDV material mainly because of online learning. The subject matter is in the method of completion, namely the preparation of mathematical models and calculations. (2) The factors that influence student learning difficulties are due to the environmental conditions in which the subject is located and generally what is often experienced is the difficulty of finding a smooth internet network, thus preventing the subject from accessing information from other sources. The advice given from the school is that researchers should be able to control the class more and also prepare research instruments and the coordination of learning hours should be clearer.

Abstract

This research is a quasi experimental research which aims to determine whether online learning based on WhatsApp Group with LKPD assistance is more effective than online learning based on WhatsApp Group without assistance from LKPD in terms of student learning motivation towards mathematics learning outcomes of seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Jetis. The subjects of this study were students of class VII SMP Negeri 2 Jetis. Data collection techniques used documentation techniques, test techniques, and mathematics learning motivation questionnaire. The results showed that online learning based on WhatsApp Group with the assistance of LKPD was as effective as online learning based on WhatsApp Group without the assistance of LKPD and the learning outcomes of students with high and moderate motivation were better than the learning outcomes of students with low motivation

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to (1) develop instructional media using Instagram in mathematics subjects piecemeal material for high school students. (2) knowing the feasibility of the learning media. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with a research model from ADDIE consisting of 5 stages, namely: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subjects of this study were 36 students of class X IPA2 of SMA Negeri 1 Minggir. Data collection techniques using expert validation questionnaires, student response questionnaires, and learning achievement tests. The data analysis technique is descriptive qualitative. Based on the results of the validation, the Instagram learning media created were declared suitable for use and included in the valid category with an average of 4.04. From the results of the students' responses, it was found that the instagram learning media was suitable for use in learning and included in the valid category with an average of 3.43 Assessment of student learning outcomes shows that the number of students who meet the KKM is 16 students or 44.44%. This shows that the learning media developed are effectively used in learning. Instagram media is able to pierce photos and videos that can be accessed by anyone easily, quickly, wherever and whenever, it is expected that Instagram learning media is able to provide an understanding of the material in piecemeal functions and foster student interest in learning.

(2) To find differences in student mathematics learning outcomes based on the level of independence in learning mathematics for class X students majoring in Hospitality. (3) To find out that there is an interaction between the use of web course learning media and the level of independence in learning mathematics for class X students majoring in Hospitality. The method used is an experimental research method. The research design used is factorial. The data analysis technique used is a two-way analysis of variance. The results of this study are: (1) there is a difference between the use of web-based learning media on student learning outcomes obtained from the analysis of hypothesis testing (2) there is a difference between student learning independence and student learning outcomes (3) there is no interaction between student learning independence and learning outcomes using web media.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis google sites pada mata pelajaran matematika materi deret aritmatika untuk siswa SMA dan mengetahui kelayakan media berbasis google sites yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode R&D dengan model ADDIE yaitu Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and evaluation. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 27 siswa kelas XI di SMA Piri 1 Yogyakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket validasi ahli dan angket respon siswa dengan melakukan uji coba lapangan terbatas. Teknik analisis data berupa analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian adalah media pembelajaran matematika berbasis google sites materi deret aritmetika dengan alamat https://sites.google.com/view/deretaritmatika/home-math. Pengujian kelayakan menunjukkan media pembelajaran layak digunakan. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil validasi ahli media memperoleh skor rata-rata 4,1 dengan kategori baik, sedangkan hasil validasi ahli materi memperoleh skor rata-rata 4,3 dengan kategori sangat baik dan hasil respon peserta didik memperoleh skor rata-rata 3,7 dengan kategori baik. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini layak digunakan dengan menggunakan uji coba lapangan terbatas dan disarankan untuk melanjutkan penelitian pada uji coba lapangan utama dan memperluas penelitian dengan materi lainnya sehingga penggunaan google sites sebagai media pembelajaran semakin luas.

Abstract

Mathematical critical thinking remains an essential yet underdeveloped competency in 21st-century mathematics learning, particularly when instruction lacks meaningful cultural context. At SMP Pembangunan Piyungan, number-topic instruction predominantly emphasizes procedural over contextual and reflective thinking, signaling an urgent need for culturally-grounded, innovative learning media. This study examines the improvement trend in seventh-grade students' mathematical critical thinking ability through E-Worksheets integrating Ethno-Modeling—connecting mathematical concepts with Piyungan's local cultural context—and the Tri-N approach (Niteni, Nirokke, Nambahi), which systematically guides students through observing, imitating, and developing ideas. Employing a time-series design, data were collected via mathematical critical thinking tests administered at each intervention meeting and analyzed quantitatively by tracking average score trends over time. Results demonstrate a consistent upward trend, with average scores rising from 89.09 at the first meeting to 96.18 at the seventh—indicating that E-Worksheets grounded in local cultural contexts and structured Tri-N learning stages effectively foster students' mathematical critical thinking development. These findings position Ethno-Modeling-based E-Worksheets integrated with Tri-N as a promising alternative medium for meaningful and culturally responsive mathematics learning.

Abstract

The integration of technology in education has introduced innovative tools to enhance learning experiences, including the use of educational games. This study examines the impact of the educational game Quizizz on the motivation and mathematics performance of eighth-grade students. The research utilized a quasi-experimental design with a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The sample was selected using cluster random sampling, consisting of 25 students from class VIII B as the control group and 25 students from class VIII C as the experimental group. Data were collected through questionnaires and mathematics tests. The analysis employed an Independent Sample t-Test to evaluate the effect of Quizizz on student motivation and a Mann-Whitney test to assess its impact on mathematics learning outcomes. The results revealed a significant positive effect of Quizizz on motivation, with a p-value of 0.042 (p < 0.05). Similarly, Quizizz significantly improved mathematics learning outcomes, as indicated by the Mann-Whitney test (p = 0.047). These findings suggest that Quizizz is an effective interactive learning tool that enhances both student motivation and academic achievement in mathematics. Thus, incorporating Quizizz into classroom activities can be a strategic approach to fostering student engagement and improving learning outcomes in mathematics.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the positive and significant effect of critical thinking, collaboration, mathematical resilience on mathematics learning outcomes partially and simultaneously. The population of this quantitative correlational research method was all seventh grade students of SMPN 5 Banguntapan, with sample of 61 students (VII A, C) selected through cluster random sampling. The research instruments were a mathematical collaboration and resilience questionnaire, a collaboration observation sheet, and a critical thinking test that were tested to be valid and reliable. Data were analyzed using correlation analysis, multiple linear regression, t-test, and F-test that met the prerequisite tests (normality, linearity, multicollinearity). The results showed a positive and significant effect between critical thinking, collaboration, mathematical resilience on students' mathematics learning outcomes, partially (sig. 0.000≤0.05) and simultaneously (29.1%). This study is expected to be a reference for further research related to the effect of critical thinking, collaboration, mathematical resilience on mathematics learning outcomes.
