Abstract

The special efforts to increase rice, corn and soybean production Program (Upsus Pajale Program) that started in 2015 is one of the government's strategic programs in achieving national food security, so it is necessary to evaluate the extent of its success. This study analyzes factors that affect production levels, the efficiency of production and income of the rice farming which is involved or not involved in Upsus Pajale Program. The data consisted of primary and secondary data source. The sampling method used a disproportionale stratified random sampling method. To answer the research objectives used Cobb-Douglass production function, efficiency calculation and T-test. The result of data processing sho(wed that the rice farming which is involved in Upsus Pajale Program that: labor factor, Urea, NPK and pesticide were influenced the production, while the land, SP-36 and seed weren’t. The rice farming which is not involved in Upsus Pajale program showed that all of production factors weren’t influenced on production. The efficiency of rice farming which is involved in Upsus Pajale Program indicates that land, SP 36 and NPK are not efficient while labor, urea, pesticide and seed are efficient for technically, allocatively and economically. In rice farming which is not involved in Upsus Pajale program, the use of land and SP 36 are not efficient while labor, urea, NPK, pesticide and seed are efficient for technically, allocatively and economically. The results of the data processing also showed that income average between the two samples were difference

Abstract

Rini AM, Yunita Y, Bidarti A, Riswani R. 2022. Factors affecting the availability of rice households of tidal swamp farmers in muara belida district during the covid-19 pandemic. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-10 Tahun 2022, Palembang 27 Oktober 2022. pp. 458-468. Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Covid-19 also affects the agricultural sector, including the availability of staple food for rice farmer households in Muara Belida District, Muara Enim Regency, which is a suboptimal land. This study aimed to analyze the factors of land area, production and total household income which are suspected to affect the availability of staple food rice for rice farmers in Muara Belida District, Muara Enim Regency during the covid-19 pandemic. The method used is a survey method, data collection is carried out directly through interviews using questionnaires. Data processing using multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The results of the analysis show that in Muara Belida District based on the value of the Coefficient of Determination (R2), it is known that land area, production and household income of rice farmers simultaneously have an effect of 22.9% on Food Availability of Rice Farmers' Household Rice while the rest is influenced by other factors outside the variable. researched. Based on the results of the Communal Test (Test F) it is known that jointly land area, production and total household income have a joint effect on the availability of rice food for rice farmer households in Muara Belida District. While the results of the partial test (T test) of land area and production partially have no effect on the availability of staple food rice for farmer households, while the total income of farm households has a partial effect on the availability of staple food for household farmers. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there are other factors other than the variables of land area, production and total income of farm households that have a greater influence on the availability of rice for rice farmers of Lebak swamp rice farmers in Muara Belida sub-district during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The South Sumatra Provincial Government has provided processed food canning production facilities for developing downstream food industry products produced by food MSMEs in South Sumatra Province. Information related to the added value obtained from the canning business of processed food products and their marketing conditions is still not widely known. The purpose of this study is to calculate income and analyze the added value of fresh Patin fish in canned Patin fish Pindang products. This research was conducted at the location of the Regional Research and Development Board processed food canning production facility in South Sumatra Province with purposive sampling, namely canned Patin fish Pindang with the brand “Tangkep” processed with canning facilities provided by the South Sumatra Provincial Government through Regional Research and Development Board. The Hayami method was used for the calculation of added value analysis for canned Patin fish Pindang products. The results showed that the profits obtained based on added value analysis, namely 51% of the sales of the products, were received by business actors, namely the Tangkep MSMEs. It can be concluded that the processing of fresh Patin fish into canned Patin fish Pindang products was classified as profitable with high added value because the value-added ratio was > 40%.
