Abstract

The main purposes of this study were to identify resiliency level within high-risk adolescence and to examine the influence of protective factors (social skills, problem solving skills, autonomy, internal locus of control, sense of purpose, participation in group activities, supportive environment and community aspiration) for resiliece level within respondents. Respondents were selected with purpossive sampling technique and 38 “high-risk” adolescence, 44.74% boys and 55.26% girls were then participating in this reseach and none of them were ever associated nor involved in criminal conduct. Data then collected using questionaires and also interview for selected respondents, as additional method. The results demonstrated the high level of resilience within respondents and identified 3 contributing factors toward adolescence resiliency level : Social skills ( = .880); Sense of purpose ( = .442); Community aspiration ( = .511).Keywords : resilience, high-risk adolescence

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada perbedaan tingkat kompetensi interpersonal antara anak-anak panti asuhan yang diasuh dengan sistem pengasuh tradisional dan anak-anak panti asuhan yang diasuh dengan sistem pengasuhan ibu asuh.Subjek yang dijadikan sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 80 anak (masing-masing sistem 40 anak) yang ada pada tahap perkembangan kanak-kanak akhir (berusia sembilan sampai 12 tahun), masih sekolah di sekolah dasar dan tinggal sekurang-kurangnya selama satu tahun di panti asuhan yang menggunakan salah satu dari dua sistem pengasuhan yang telah disebutkan di atas. Alat ukur yang dipakai pada penelitian ini yang telah dinyatakan valid dan reliabel adalah: (a) angket persepsi tingkat demokratisasi pola asuh (koefisien validitas yang bergerak antara 0.266 sampai 0.596 dengan koefisien relibilitas sebesar 0.847) dan (b) angket kompetensi interpersonal (koefisien validitas bergerak antara 0.252 sampai 0.618 dengan koefisian teliabilitas sebesar 0.884).Dari hasil penelitian analisis data dengan analisis varians satu jalur diperoleh hasil penelitian bahwa tidak ada perbedaan tingkat kompetensi interpersonal anak-anak yang diasuh dengan sistem pengasuhan tradisional dan antara anak-anak yang diasuh dengan sistem pengasuhan ibu asuh (F=1.837:p= 0.176). Dengan melihat rerata emperik yang lebih besar daripada rerata hipotetik,dapat disimpulkan bahwa anak-anak pada kedua sistem pengasuhanmemiliki tingkat kompetensi interpersonal yang sama tinggi (rerata hipopetik=22.5, rerata empirik sistem tradisional 35.625 dan sistem ibu asuh = 34.375) kata kunci: Kompetensi interpersonal, sistem pengasuhan tradisoanal,sistem pengasuhan ibu asuh

Abstract

77ms study aims to test whether a Gratitude-Cognitive Behavior Therapy (G-CBT) can reduce the symptoms of adolescent depression. G-CBT is a therapy to reduce depression by increasing gratitude feeling through CBT methods. The subjects are adolescents, aged 13-18 years, female and had depression score of 7-9 standard (high). Scale is used to detect depression in teenagers is the Depression Scale of the Gadjah Mada University's Personality Scale. Design of experiment are Non-randomized study ofPre-Posttest Control Group Design. The method of data analysis using the Mann-Whitney analysis to determine whether there are effects of G-CBT in reducing adolescent depression. Studies showed Z = -3.707and p = 0.000; p <0.05. This means that there are differences in depression rates between the groups receiving therapy or treatment with the group that did not get the therapy. So, the conclusion from this study indicate thatthe G-CBT can reduce levels of depression experienced by adolescents.Keywords: Gratitude-Cognitive Behavior Therapy, depression, adolescent

Abstract

Having a child with an autistic spectrum disorder is a challenge for parents, especially mothers, which can hinder the fulfillment of optimal psychological functions so that the mother’s psychological well-being is disturbed. Internal situations such as gratitude and the presence of external support from the family can be factors that can encourage increased psychological well-being in mothers. This study observed the effects of gratitude and family support on mothers’ psychological well-being with children with an autism spectrum disorder. The instruments in this study used the gratitude scale, the family support scale and Ryff’s Psychological Well-Being Scales-short version distributed online. The subject in this study was 98 people, and the data collected were analyzed using the Doubled Linear Regression test using JASP software. The results showed the significance value of p0.05; thus, gratitude and family support had a role or effect on mothers’ psychological well-being with children with an autism spectrum disorder. Meanwhile, the effective contribution for gratitude was 17.39%, and family support was 21.53%. For future research, gratitude and emotion-based therapies such as emotion regulation training can be used as an intervention in experimental research to improve psychological well-being.

Abstract

The key success for an organization with a millennial workforce to win the competitiveness of the business industry in 4.0 era is having a compatible model of work engagement. In 2020 millennials will dominate, up to 75% of the labor force. Therefore it is necessary to scientifically inquire deeper on this generation. This research adopts the Job Demand Resources Model (JD-R) as a theoretical framework. It specifically aims to analyze the most suitable work engagement model among millennials who work at state-owned companies. Predictor variables in this research are job crafting and meaningful work as a mediator.  This quantitative research (N=318) uses scaling for data collection and Structural Equation Model (SEM) to test the data. This research found: (1) work engagement model fits for the millennial workforce; (2) job crafting has direct significant effect to work engagement; (3) meaningful work plays as a mediator between job crafting and work engagement.

Abstract

Sistem teknologi informasi yang berkaitan dengan bidang psikologi yang saat ini marak digunakan di dunia kerja antara lain adalah Enterprise Resource Planning Human Capital Management (ERPHCM). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memberikan deskripsi tentang evaluasi usabilitas terhadap salah satu aplikasi ERP-HCM, yaitu Odoo yang digunakan untuk proses pembelajaran Human Resource Information System (HRIS). Aspek yang diuji yaitu learnability, flexibility, effectiveness, dan attitude. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei terhadap 49 mahasiswa yang telah mengikuti mata kuliah HRIS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai total usabilitas aplikasi Odoo mencapai 79,93%. Nilai tersebut diperoleh dari aspek learnability = 79,93%, flexibility = 73,46%, effectiveness = 77,55%, attitude = 80,61%. Hal ini berarti bahwa aplikasi Odoo layak digunakan dan dapat diterima dengan baik namun perlu dilakukan perbaikan-perbaikan berdasarkan kelemahan-kelemahan aplikasi Odoo.

Abstract

Nurses are health workers who are always there in every hospital and are a benchmark for hospital health services, so this is a major concern that management should not ignore because it will have an impact on the organization. The purpose of this study was to explore relationship between meaning of work and organizational commitment in nurses mediated by job satisfaction. Respondents in this study were 214 nurses with a minimum working period of one year in the hospital. Data collection methods in this study use a scale of (1) The Work and Meaning Inventory (WAMI), (2) Organization Commitment Questionnaire (OCQ), and (3) Job Satisfaction Scale from Scale for the Measurement of Some Work Attitudes and Aspects of Psychological Well-Being. The result showed that meaning of work positively correlated to job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Moreover, job satisfaction positively effects organizational commitment. The results of data analysis using simple model 4 mediator analysis from PROCESS by Hayes (2012) show that job satisfaction plays a significant role as a partial mediation on the relationship between meaning of work and organizational commitment on nurses. This means that nurses have high job satisfaction don’t necessarily have high organizational commitment. Conversely, nurses who have low job satisfaction don’t necessarily have low organizational commitment. Therefore, the hospital needs to make a program to increase the meaning of the work that nurses have because it can have an impact on the organizational commitment of a nurse.

Abstract

Lupus not only brings an impact on the people suffering from it but also gives a burden for the family as the main treatment unit for the people with Lupus. Social support from family, friends or closest people is assumed to be able to grow the self-confidence of a family caregiver in coping with any drawbacks in caregiving as it can lessen the burden. This study specifically aimed to observe the impacts of the support of family, friends and closest people on the burden of caregiver through the mediator of self-efficacy to the family caregiver of people with Lupus. This article is a part of the thesis using the quantitative approach with family caregivers of people with Lupus as the research respondents (N=72). The research data collection was carried out online using Zarit Burden Interview, Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support, and Caregiver Self-Efficacy Measures. Data were analyzed by means of mediation analysis technique through JASP. The results of the study showed that self-efficacy only acted as a mediator for the relation between family support and the burden of the caregiver. Family support is a very important factor to increase caregiver self-efficacy which in turn can reduce the care burden for family caregivers.

Abstract

Keterikatan kerja merupakan keadaan pikiran dan perasaan (state of mind) terkait dengan pekerjaan yang bersifat positif ditandai dengan adanya semangat (vigor), pengabdian (dedication), dan penyerapan (absorption). Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan keterikatan kerja karyawan adalah dengan menumbuhkan kebermaknaan (meaningful work) di tempat kerja. Studi korelasi antara keterikatan kerja dan kebermaknaan kerja sudah cukup banyak dilakukan, namun memil iki hasil yang bervariasi. Studi metaanalisis ini dilakukan untuk mengkaji hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan peneliti di bidang organisasi dan bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah kebermaknaan kerja dan keterikatan kerja secara konsisten berkaitan. Hasil metaanalisis terhadap 30 studi dengan total subjek sebanyak 11,794 menunjukkan bahwa kebermaknaan kerja berkorelasi positif dengan keterikatan kerja dengan nilai korelasi sebesar .475 setelah kesalahan sampling terkoreksi dan r = .562 setelah koreksi kesalahan pengukuran.Kata Kunci: kebermaknaan kerja, keterikatan kerja, metaanalisisMeaningful Work and Work Engagement: A Meta-Analysis StudyAbstract. Work engagement is a state of mind associated with positive work that is characterized by vigor, dedication, and absorption. One of the ways to increase employee work engagement is by growing meaningfulness at work. The correlation studies between work engagement and meaningful work have been done quite a lot, but have varied results. This meta-analysis study was applied to examine the results of research that have been conducted by researchers in the field of organization and aims to find out whether meaningful work and work engagement are consistently related. The results of a meta-analysis of 30 studies with a total of 11,794 subjects showed that meaningful work was positively correlated with work engagement with a correlation value of .475 after corrected sampling error and r = .562 after correction of measurement error.Keywords: meaningful work, meta-analysis, work engagementArticle History:Received 25 February 2020Revised 30 May 2020Accepted 30 May 2020
