Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the capacity of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in utilizing digital technology through business digitalization training integrated with the Cooperative and SME Capacity Building Program. The main problems faced by SMEs include low digital literacy and limited skills in marketing, financial record-keeping, and technology-based business management. The implementation method employed an educational and practical approach, consisting of needs analysis, interactive training, hands-on practice, mentoring, as well as monitoring and evaluation. The training materials covered the use of social media and marketplaces, digital financial recording, and product promotion and branding strategies. The results indicate an improvement in participants’ understanding and skills in using digital technology to support their business activities. Participants became more confident and motivated to gradually implement business digitalization. In addition, this activity strengthened the role of cooperatives as a platform for mentoring and empowering SMEs. Overall, the business digitalization training contributes positively to improving the competitiveness and economic independence of SMEs.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to strengthen the capacity of village officials in managing village governance and village finances in order to create effective, efficient, transparent, and accountable village governance in Kuantan Singingi Regency. The main problems faced by village officials include limited understanding of regulations and insufficient technical skills in managing governmental administration and village financial management. The activity was implemented through technical guidance conducted over three days, from October 3 to 5, 2024, at Hotel Jatra Pekanbaru. The methods used included lectures, interactive discussions, case studies, and question-and-answer sessions, involving resource persons from the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (Central Office, Jakarta). The results of the activity indicate an improvement in the understanding and competence of village officials in planning, budgeting, administration, reporting, and accountability of village finances. In addition, the activity also promoted a shared understanding and increased awareness among village officials regarding the importance of transparency and accountability principles in the administration of village governance.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the capacity of Micro and Small Enterprise (MSE) actors in Bengkalis Regency in utilizing digital technology for business development through the Non-Physical Micro and Small Enterprise and Cooperative Capacity Building Program (PK2UMK) in 2024. The activity was implemented using a participatory and applicative approach over three days, from 25 to 27 June 2024. The methods employed included interactive lectures, discussions, hands-on practice, and mentoring related to business digitalization, digital marketing, the use of social media and marketplaces, and digital financial management. The results indicate an improvement in participants’ understanding, skills, and attitudes toward the use of digital technology. MSE actors were able to create and manage business social media accounts, develop simple promotional content, understand digital marketing strategies, and begin implementing digital-based financial recordkeeping. Furthermore, the activity encouraged a shift in mindset from conventional business practices toward a more adaptive approach to technological advancements. Therefore, the business digitalization training through the Non-Physical PK2UMK Program in 2024 made a positive contribution to enhancing the competitiveness and independence of MSE actors in Bengkalis Regency.
