Abstract

In the first trimester of pregnancy, there are several complaints or discomforts during pregnancy which disrupt the pregnant woman's activities. These complaints are often experienced during early pregnancy, namely morning sickness or emesis gravidarum. Changes due to the estrogen hormone during pregnancy will result in excessive stomach acid, causing nausea in the morning. Emesis gravidarum can cause a decrease in appetite which results in changes in the balance of electrolytes such as sodium, calcium and potassium, causing changes in the body's metabolism. Complementary therapy to reduce emesis gravidarum can use herbal plants, including ginger. Ginger contains the essential oils zingiberena (zingirona), zingiberol, bisabilena, curcumin, gingerol, flandren, vitamin A and bitter resin which can block serotonin in the neurotransmitter which is synthesized in serotonergic neurons found in the central nervous system and enterochromaffin cells in the digestive tract so that it can provide a taste. comfortable in the stomach so it can overcome nausea. The aim of the community service activity is to provide education about ginger brewed drinks to treat emesis gravidarum for pregnant women in the first trimester. This activity was carried out on June 13 2023 at PMB Yustati Ambarita. The implementation method is lecture, discussion and question and answer. The media used is in the form of leaflets. As a result of this activity, pregnant women already know about ginger brew to treat emesis gravidarum by consuming 250 mg of ginger brew, taken 2-4 times a day for a week.

Abstract

Dysmenorrhea or menstrual pain is a stabbing pain that is felt in the lower abdomen and thighs, this occurs due to an imbalance of the hormone progesterone in the blood, resulting in pain arising. Almost all women have felt interference during menstruation in the form of menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) with various degrees, ranging from just soreness in the pelvis from the inside to extreme pain. Dysmenorrhea occurs in 50% to 90% of adolescent girls and women of reproductive age and is a major cause of absenteeism. Non-pharmacologically, pain can be treated, one of which is with distraction techniques. The most effective distraction technique to reduce pain is listening to classical music (mozart) and also back exercises. The purpose of the study was to see the influence of hypnotherapy with Jambi Malay instrumental music in overcoming dysmenorrhea in adolescent girls. The research method used a one group experimental questionnaire design by measuring the degree of dysmenorrhea pain using pretest and posttest questionnaires assessing pain scales using the NRS (Numeric Rating Scale. pupolation and sample was 30 female students D 3 Midwifery STIKes Baiturrahim who had dysmenorrhea. The study was conducted September 2022 – September 2023.The results showed a significant influence on the treatment of dysmenorrhea before and after hypnotherapy with Jambi Malay instrumental music with p velue < 000. Conclusion Young women can do hypnotherapy with Jambi Malay instrumental music as local wisdom music, one of the complementary therapy options to overcome dysmenorrhea and it is expected that young women invite peers to be able to do the same in overcoming dysmenorrhoea

Abstract

Care of the reproductive organs is critical. If the organs are not appropriately maintained, it can cause various kinds of acne that can cause infection. To stop the infection, cleanliness is needed to maintain the genitalia organs according to religious, cultural, and medical guidance, and can also use alternative therapies. The problems students face have yet to maximize their understanding of reproductive health, especially maintaining the reproductive organs of adolescent sons and daughters. The purpose of the study was to know the picture of adolescent knowledge in the maintenance of reproductive organ health. SMAN 13 Jambi City. The research method used a description survey, with a sample of 104 respondents, by filling out a questionnaire using a Google form. The results of the study are known the characteristics of respondents based on the age of the most aged 16 years (49.1%), the most female gender 56 (53.8%), (99.95%) have received information and most (87.94%) respondents are well knowledgeable in the maintenance of reproductive organs. SMAN 13 continues to monitor and educate its students so that they realize and understand how important it is to maintain the health of reproductive organs for their lives in the future to avoid infectious and non-communicable diseases

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding has tremendous health benefits for infants, including boosting the immune system, reducing the risk of disease, and supporting optimal growth and development. Although the importance of exclusive breastfeeding is widely recognized, there are still failures in exclusive breastfeeding practices in many countries, including the factors that cause them. This study aims to analyze the factors that lead to exclusive breastfeeding failure. This study used a systematic literature review method. The data collection technique in this study was carried out by searching literature in the Google Scholar and Scopus databases. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative methods. The results showed that the factors inhibiting exclusive breastfeeding were infant mother's knowledge, family support including mother, mother-in-law, and husband, mother's employment status, breast care, breastfeeding coupled with formula and complementary foods, and milk production during breastfeeding

Abstract

Changes in the lifestyle of an increasingly modern society is one of the foundationsHealthy Living Community Movement (GERMAS) was launched by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. The concept of health behavior is defined as a person's response to stimuli associated with illness, disease, the health care system, food, drink, and the environment. The partner problem is the amount of waste that has not been managed properly. This community service method was carried out in March-July 2021 at RT 11, Legok Village, Danau Sipin District, Jambi City through surveys, observations, interviews, lectures, question and answer meetings in 12 meetings, attended by 10 residents. The material provided is different at each counseling session. As a result of this community service, the family works together and disposes of garbage according to the type and place of disposal as wellthere isenvironmental hygiene behavior change.In conclusion from the results of simple measurements the level of knowledge of the pretest and posttest participants increased. Most families understand how environmental hygiene behavior changes. there is an increase in knowledge in accordance with the objectives of community service activities.

Abstract

Dysmenorrhea occurs in 50% to 90% of adolescent girls and women of reproductive age and is a major cause of absenteeism. The most complained and felt impact due to dysmenorrhea is limited physical activity, poor concentration and absenteeism in the teaching and learning process. Pharmacologically, pain can be treated with analgesic therapy, which is the most commonly used method of pain relief. This therapy can have an addictive impact and will provide dangerous drug side effects for patients. Non-pharmacologically, pain can be handled, one of which is with distraction techniques, namely the most effective distraction techniques to reduce pain is listening to classical music (mozart) and also back exercise. The purpose of this community service is to increase the knowledge of young women about hypnotherapy with Jambi Malay instrumental music in overcoming dysmenorrhea. The method / approach taken is to assess the knowledge of young women before and after education about hypnotherapy with Jambi Malay instrumental music in overcoming dysmenorrhea. After participating in a series of activities in accordance with the implementation plan, the results were: before good knowledge education was carried out 5 (23.8%) young women and less good 16 (76.6%) young women, after good knowledge education 21 (100%) people and less good 0 (0%).
