Abstract

Serbuk sari atau polen dapat digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi tanaman karena adanya lapisan eksin yang mempunyai struktur dan ornamentasi yang khas. Karakteristik polen dapat diketahui dari ciri-ciri polen yang meliputi ukuran, bentuk, tipe, jumlah dan posisi apertur, serta ornamentasi eksin. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengeksplorasi karakteristik polen berbagai tumbuhan pada beberapa famili berbeda. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian dilakukan di Laboratorium Biologi Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang pada Bulan Februari sampai April 2021. Polen didapatkan dari berbagai tumbuhan disekitar kampus 3 Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang. Metode pengamatan dengan asetolisis. Hasil pengamatan disajikan dalam bentuk foto dan gambar. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskripstif kualitatif. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan hasil bahwa Hibiscus rosasinensis L. memiliki aperture peripotate, unit polen monad, penebalan sentrifugal, eksin echinate. Erythrina cristagali tipe aperture triporate, unit polen monad, penebalan sentripetal, eksin psilate. Sesbania grandiflora tipe aperture periporate, unit polen monad, penebalan sentrifugal, eksnin echinate. Ruellia simplex tipe aperture periporate, unit polen monad, penebalan sentrifugal, eksin echinate. Passiflora edulis tipe aperature periporate, unit polen monad, penebalan sentrifugal, eksin echinate. Pteris tipe aperture trilete, unit polen monad, penebalan sentrifugal, dan eksin verrucate. Temuan penelitian ini semua polen memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda-beda dilihat dari unit polen, tipe penebalan dinding, aperture dan ornamentasi eksin dari polen. Abstract

Jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan November sampai Desember 2019. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Terpadu dan Laboratorium Biologi Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang. Identifikasi parasit mengacu pada buku parasitologi kedokteran dan website atrhropoda. 24 kelinci diamati yang terserang scabies dan diambil 4 sampel selanjutnya mengamati tingkat keparahannya dan mencari parasit dengan cara mengkerik sampai mendapatkan artropoda parasit penyebab scabies. Mengamati menggunakan mikroskop selanjutnya dibuat preparat. Metode pembuatan preparat menggunakan Whole mount hewan menurut (Wahyuni, 2019). Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan mendeskripsikan ciri-ciri struktur morfologi parasit penyebab scabies. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis parasit penyebab scabies kelinci adalah Sarcoptes scabei yang berasal dari S scabei varniculi berjenis kelamin jantan sudah pada stadium dewasa, dengan ciri-ciri mempunyai 4 pasang kaki, 2 pasang merupakan kaki depan dan 2 pasang lainnya kaki belakang. Tingkat keparahan sampel kelinci 1 dan 2 terdapat pada tingkatan sedang sampel kelinci 3 dan 4 pada tingkat ringan. Hasil identifikasi parasit digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran praktikum matakuliah parasitologi umum sub pokok bahasan Athropoda parasit di Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi tingkat Perguruan Tinggi.

Abstract

This study aimed at explaining the capacity of pre-service teachers in designing teaching activities to foster Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). The research participants were 35 pre-service teachers attending Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education department at a state university in Malang. The research method was descriptive quantitative. The assessment was conducted by reviewing lesson plans designed by the pre-service teachers. Rubric within Shulman's framework was used for assessing the lesson plans by considering some key aspects of teaching to foster HOTS, namely content knowledge, the use of questions, and problem-solving. The results have revealed that the pre-service teachers did not show a good ability to interpret contents. Besides, the pre-service teachers tended to use clarifying questions in learning. This was due to the fact that the designed learning had not been based on problems. It can be said that the capacities of the pre-service teachers in both content knowledge and pedagogical knowledge were considerably low. Both types of knowledge have shown a significant correlation in the context of teaching to foster HOTS.

Abstract

The corona virus outbreak has an impact on learning activities. Indonesia establishes online or online learning so that learning activities continue and are safe. Assessment and evaluation must continue to be carried out. One way of assessing authenticity can be using Two Tier Multiple Choice (TTMC). This study aimed to analyze the ability to understand the concept of Biology education students through Two-Tier Multiple Choice in online assessment. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The research was conducted for one semester. The research subjects were semester 3 students who program and attend lectures on Media and Learning Resources at the Biology Education Study Program, FKIP-UMM. The academic year 2020/2021. The number of students is 85 people. The sampling technique used is the saturation sampling. The data were collected utilizing a multiple-choice test in the form of TTMC. Aspects that are measured include aspects of understanding and analyzing. The qualitative descriptive analysis was conducted to classify the data collection. The result showed that 37.6% of students entered the criteria for learning outcomes under the minimum standard mastery (MSM), 31.7% were according to the MSM standards, and 30.6% were in the criteria above the MSM. In the aspect of understanding (C2), 63.5% of students can answer questions correctly, and 36.5% of students have not answered correctly, in the aspect of analyzing (C4), as many as 41.4% of students can answer questions correctly and 58.6% of students not correct in answering the questions of the total evaluated student population.

Abstract

Students' metacognitive abilities develop from the knowledge they have and the management of that knowledge. Knowledge management will lead to students' strategies and skills in solving problems and higher-order thinking skills. The students' metacognitive skills play a major role in activities involving cognitive abilities such as understanding, communicating, paying attention, remembering, and solving problems. This research was aimed to find out the metacognitive skill of 7th grade students of Junior High School 23 Malang after applying Li-Pro-GP (literasi berbasis proyek terintegrasi GLS dan PPK: Li-Pro-GP) Learning Design. This is a descriptive qualitative research. It takes time from August to October 2021. This research was carried out at Junior High School 23 Malang. The population were 7th grade students and the sample were students of class VII.2 and VII.4. The research procedures included; 1) compiling MAI questionnaires to measure metacognitive ability in the form of short questions using likert scale (1-4), 2) giving students an instrument via Google Form before and after giving the Li-Pro-GP learning model. The instrument used to collect data was MAI (Metacognitive Awareness Inventory) from Schraw and Dennison. The method used to collect data is giving questionnaires to students. Data analysis technique was using Independent T test. The results of this study indicated that students' metacognitive abilities increased after the implementation of Li-Pro-GP learning model (sig 0.000 < 0.05). Apart from the research results obtained, further research can apply Li-Pro-GP model to teach other materials.
