Abstract

Acne vulgaris is one of the most common skin problems, particularly on the facial area, and it negatively affects the quality of life of sufferers both physically and mentally. The prevalence of acne continues to rise globally and nationally, especially among adolescents and young adults. This study aims to classify types of acne using the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) method and to implement the results into an interactive web-based application using Streamlit, in order to facilitate users in independently detecting acne.The dataset used consists of 360 acne images collected from Google and Kaggle, which were categorized into four acne types: whiteheads, blackheads, pustules, and nodules before being split into training and testing datasets. This study employs three CNN architectures: InceptionV3, VGG16, and EfficientNetB0. Training was carried out in two stages with a learning rate of 0.0001 during the initial phase and 0.000005 during the fine-tuning phase, across a total of 50 epochs. The models were trained using the Adam optimizer, along with callbacks such as EarlyStopping, ModelCheckpoint, and ReduceLROnPlateau to prevent overfitting and enhance training efficiency.Model performance was evaluated using a confusion matrix. The evaluation results showed that the VGG16 architecture achieved the highest accuracy at 97%, followed by InceptionV3 with 96%, while EfficientNetB0 only reached 26% accuracy. The best-performing model was then integrated into a Streamlit-based application featuring a simple interface that allows users to upload facial images, detect acne types, and receive initial treatment recommendations.

Abstract

The use of information technology in the world of education is very important to increase the effectiveness of academic services and the promotion of study programs. This research aims to design and build a website-based information system in the Philosophy Study Program, Panca Budi Development University. The method used is software development with an object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD) approach, starting from needs analysis, design, and implementation to system testing. The results of the study show that the developed website is able to provide profile information, news, activities, galleries, and contacts online, making it easier to access information for students, lecturers, prospective students, and the general public. This website also functions as an effective digital promotional medium and supports the digitization of academic services in the study program environment. System testing shows a high level of user satisfaction with the ease of access and completeness of information.

Abstract

Environmental crises across the globe require diverse approaches, including religious perspectives as a foundation for values and moral principles. The Qur’an and the Sunnah contain ecological principles that position human beings as moral agents in their relationship with the environment. This study focuses on analyzing the ecological construction within Islam through a thematic Qur’anic study approach combined with the grounded theory method. The research employs a qualitative design, using Qur’anic verses and Prophetic traditions (ḥadīth) as the primary sources. Verses and ḥadīth related to human–environment interactions are analyzed inductively through the stages of open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. The findings indicate that the concept of ecology in Islam is shaped by the principles of amānah (trust) and human responsibility, a balanced cosmos (mīzān), the prohibition of corruption or destruction (fasād), and ethical guidelines for the sustainable use of natural resources. The emergent theoretical concept points to a theocentric–relational ecological model, in which the relationship between humans and the environment is consistently bound to moral and spiritual responsibility toward God. These results affirm that environmental crises are not merely technical issues but also involve ethical and value-based dimensions. It is expected that this study will contribute theoretically to the development of modern Qur’anic studies and serve as a normative foundation for strengthening Islamic environmental ethics in addressing global ecological challenges.   Keywords: Islamic Ecology, Thematic Tafsir, Grounded Theory   Abstrak Krisis lingkungan di seluruh dunia memerlukan pendekatan yang beragam, termasuk sudut pandang agama sebagai pondasi nilai dan prinsip moral. Al-Qur’an dan Sunnah mengandung kaidah-kaidah ekologis yang menempatkan manusia sebagai entitas moral dalam hubungannya dengan lingkungan. Penelitian ini berfokus untuk menganalisis konstruksi ekologis dalam Islam melalui pendekatan studi tema Qur’an yang digabungkan dengan metode grounded theory. Metode yang diterapkan adalah penelitian kualitatif, menggunakan ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an serta hadis Nabi sebagai sumber utama. Ayat dan hadis yang terkait dengan interaksi manusia dan lingkungan dianalisis secara induktif melalui langkah-langkah open coding, axial coding, dan selective coding. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsep ekologi dalam Islam dibentuk oleh prinsip amanah dan tanggung jawab manusia, kosmos yang seimbang (mīzān), pelarangan terhadap kerusakan (fasād), serta etika dalam penggunaan sumber daya alam secara berkelanjutan. Konsep teori yang muncul menunjukkan model ekologi teosentris-relasional, di mana hubungan antara manusia dan lingkungan senantiasa terikat pada tanggung jawab moral dan spiritual kepada Tuhan. Hasil ini menegaskan bahwa krisis lingkungan bukan hanya masalah teknis, tetapi juga melibatkan aspek nilai dan etika. Diharapkan penelitian ini dapat memberikan kontribusi teoritis untuk perkembangan studi Al-Qur’an modern dan menjadi dasar normatif untuk penguatan etika lingkungan Islam dalam menghadapi tantangan ekologis global.   Kata kunci: Ekologi Islam, Tafsir Tematik, Grounded Theory
