Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika memiliki fungsi sebagai sarana untuk mengembangkan kemampuan komunikasi, berpikir kritis, logis, dan kreatif yang diperlukan peserta didik dalam kehidupan yang semakin maju ini. Tidak hanya bagi peserta didik sekolah umum saja, tetapi juga para santri yang sedang belajar di pondok pesantren. Beberapa penelitian menunjukkan bahwa matematika yang diajarkan di sekolah tidak diperoleh melalui eksplorasi matematik, tetapi sekedar melalui penjelasan oleh guru di kelas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kemampuan komunikasi matematis santri pondok pesantren assalam pontianak pada materi bilangan bulat. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes tertulis dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 20 santri kelas VII di SMP Pesantren Assalam. Indikator yang digunakan yaitu (1) Menulis, dimana peserta didik mampu memaparkan ide dan gagasannya dengan bahasanya sendiri, (2) Menggambar, dimana peserta didik memaparkan ide dan gagasan pikirannya melalui gambar, grafik maupun dalam bentuk tabel, (3) Ekspresi matematika, dimana peserta didik mampu membuat pemodelan matematika dari permasalahan yang diberikan. Dari hasil analisis data, diperoleh hasil kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa pada materi bilangan bulat berada dalam kategori sedang. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil rekapitulasi jawaban dan konversi skor peserta didik dengan persentase berurutan sebesar 64%, 68%, dan 50%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar melalui permainan ular tangga pada materi penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan bulat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Pendekatan kuantitatif dalam penelitian ini digunakan untuk mengetahui gambaran secara jelas fenomena selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung, dan sampel penelitiannya adalah siswa kelas VII C MTsN 01 Pontianak 2022/2023. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII C yang berjumlah 30 siswa. Teknik akumulasi data yang digunakan yaitu metode tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan media permainan ular tangga berpengaruh secara signifikan karena ratarata hasil belajar siswa hanya mengalami peningkatan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa: hasil belajar siswa sudah memenuhi KKM.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to describe students' abilities in solving integer problems in the form of story problems based on predetermined indicators. This research took the form of a qualitative descriptive study involving 33 students. Data collection uses test techniques in the form of essay questions. Based on the results of the analysis of problem-solving abilities in solving integer problems, it was found that many students already understood presenting problems in word problems. Although there are some students who are still not careful in solving questions, especially when doing calculations and drawing conclusions. Students are also able to formulate mathematical problems correctly using the knowledge they must solve whole numbers. Some students can carry out calculations correctly to solve the problems presented so that it can be said that students have achieved indicators of problem-solving ability in whole numbers.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the mathematical representation abilities of eleventh-grade students in solving matrix problems. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed. The research participants consisted of six students selected from a total of 29 students in Class XI MIPA 4 at SMAS Mujahidin Pontianak. Participants were chosen through purposive sampling based on three levels of mathematical ability (high, moderate, and low) with two students representing each category. The study analyzed students' representation abilities across three dimensions, namely visual, symbolic, and verbal. Data were collected through written tests and interviews. The data analysis process involved three stages: data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results revealed that students with high ability demonstrated comprehensive mastery of all three forms of representation. Students with moderate ability showed sufficient proficiency in visual and symbolic representation but had limitations in verbal representation. Meanwhile, students with low ability encountered difficulties in all three aspects. These findings suggest that teachers should design instructional strategies and tasks that promote students' abilities to make conjectures, interpret, justify, and connect mathematical ideas, thereby enhancing students' mathematical representation abilities.

Abstract

This research aims to find out 1) to detail the use of quadrilateral applications in learning flat shape mathematics for class VII students at SMPN 4 Batu Ampar; and 2) to prove the effect of using the quadrilateral application on mathematics learning outcomes regarding flat shapes in class VII students at SMPN 4 Batu Ampar. This research includes quantitative research with a quasi-experimental type of research. The population used was all class VII students at SMPN 4 Batu Ampar with a total of 47 people. The data collection techniques used in this research are (1) Test; (2) observation techniques; (3) documentation techniques. The data collection instruments used were (1) tests; (2) observation sheet; (3) documentation. The data analysis technique uses (1) prerequisite tests, namely the control class normality test sig (0.432) and the experimental class sig (0.833), then the homogeneity test sig (0.749); (2) hypothesis testing, namely the independent sample t-test sig (2-tailed) 0.001. The results of this research have answered all research objectives. Firstly, the use of the quadrilateral application in mathematics learning about flat shapes for class VII students at SMPN 4 Batu Ampar has 100% observation results in the use of the quadrilateral application. Second, there is an influence of using the quadrilateral application on the mathematics learning outcomes of flat shape material in class VII students at SMPN 4 Batu Ampar sig (0.001 ).

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of GeoGebra-assisted collaborative learning on students' understanding of function graphs. Function graphs are fundamental in mathematics education, yet many students struggle to grasp the relationships between variables, primarily due to traditional teaching methods that focus on procedural skills rather than conceptual understanding. To address this challenge, the study incorporates GeoGebra, a dynamic mathematics software, alongside collaborative learning strategies. The research utilizes a quasi-experimental design involving high school students who had previously struggled with function graphs. The results demonstrate that the experimental group, which engaged in GeoGebra-assisted collaborative learning, showed a significant improvement of 27% in their post-test scores, compared to just a 6% improvement in the control group using traditional methods. The study highlights the effectiveness of GeoGebra in fostering a deeper conceptual understanding of mathematical functions by enabling students to visualize and manipulate graphs interactively. Additionally, collaborative learning encouraged peer interaction, reinforcing the learning process and promoting better problem-solving skills. The findings suggest that combining interactive tools like GeoGebra with collaborative learning techniques can enhance students’ mathematical comprehension, leading to improved engagement and performance in mathematics education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya prestasi belajar peserta didik pada pembelajaran matematika, terdapat 21 dari 32 peserta didik yang masih belum mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum (KKM). Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimen. Dalam penelitian ini sumber datanya yaitu populasi dan sampel. Dengan jumlah populasi 62 orang peserta didik dan sampelnya merupakan peserta didik kelas II A sebanyak 30 peserta didik sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas II B sebanyak 32 peserta didik sebagai kelas eksperimen. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang telah dilakukan, diketahui bahwa pengaruh media Puzzle Match Time pada prestasi belajar peserta didik dapat dilihat pada hasil uji hipotesis dengan nilai Sig. sebesar 0.000<0.05 yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara variabel X terhadap Y.
