Abstract

Learning is the main activity in the education process. Based on the observations made, about 60% of students obtained a value of ≤ 70. This study aims to improve the efficiency and student learning outcomes in materials related to the RTE model with the PQ4R strategy. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR). The research procedure used used 2 cycles with 2 times of learning and 1 cycle end of each test in each cycle. Based on the results of the study, the percentage of student learning activities in the first cycle was 73.44% and the second cycle was 90%. While the results of student tests in the first cycle obtained an average value of 67.16 while in the second cycle amounted to 77.87. This proves that student activities and learning outcomes can be improved by applying the RTE learning model with the PQ4R Strategy. This collaborative model is used to release boredom in the activity of learning. Keywords: RTE, PQ4R, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

During the current pandemic, the development of information and communication technology is very much needed in online learning. The problem in this study is how to describe the level of problem-solving abilities carried out by students in solving math problems on number material during online learning. This study aims to identify the difficulties of seventh grade students of SMP Nurul Chotib Wringinagung in learning mathematics on numbers. The type and approach in this research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques in this study were tests, interviews and questionnaires, while data processing used the percentage formula P = × 100%. From the results of the study, it was concluded that the difficulty of grade VII students of SMP Nurul Chotib Wringinagung in number material was the lack of understanding of students in solving problem solving problems, often incorrectly using formulas in solving problems, as well as difficulty distinguishing between planning and implementing plans.   Keywords: difficulties problem solvig, numbers, online learning

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' mathematical problem solving abilities based on their high, medium and low level of ability in solving the problem. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The data collecting method that use are observation, test, and interview. The results showed that the problem-solving ability of high-level subjects reached an average of 75%, the problem-solving abilities of medium-level subjects reached an average of 67%, the problem-solving abilities of low-level subjects reached an average of 67%, out of a maximum score of 100. The result of interview, ability level high, medium, and low, students are capable and good even though it does not reach 100%. So, it can be concluded that high, medium, and low level abilities are good for going through the problem solving ability indicator.  Keywords: problem solving, online learning

Abstract

This study aims to develop LEKER SI KOAL (Lembar Kerja Siswa Konteks Aljabar) based on STEM Education as a learning media for measuring mathematical reasoning abilities. The research was conducted at MTs Ma'arif Ambulu involving 32 class VII students. Data was collected through questionnaires, tests, observations, interviews, and documentation, and the model of development research that was used is ADDIE which consisted of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the development of LEKER SI KOAL show that this learning media is included in the "decent" category with a percentage of 76%. Based on that the student responses via a questionnaire showed a percentage of 81%. Therefore, LEKER SI KOAL with STEM education approach “decent” to be developed as a learning medium.  Keywords: LEKER SI KOAL, STEM education, mathematical reasoning

Abstract

Improving the quality of learning needs to be improved in an effort to improve the quality of education in Indonesia. Educators, in this case, teachers and lecturers, need to design learning so that the intended competencies can be achieved optimally. In addition, educators must also be able to evaluate themselves in an effort to improve the learning process that has been carried out. The purpose of this study is to describe lesson study in relation to increasing competence in learning. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method, namely collecting library data from various sources, reading, recording, and processing research materials. The results of the study stated that lesson study as a form of fostering an educator in learning can collaborate with models, methods, strategies, and approaches and can be used as a benchmark for the learning process that has been carried out. Competence in this case relates to individual behavior consisting of affective, cognitive, and psychomotor Keywords: lesson study, learning competence
