Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of leadership style and managerial competence of school principals on the performance of State Middle School teachers in Kayuagung District. The research was conducted at a state junior high school in Kayuagung District. The study used a descriptive quantitative research method, with a total population of 261 teaching staff at SMP Negeri Kayuagung District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. The number of samples calculated using the Slovin formula obtained a sample of 72 people—data collection techniques using questionnaires, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study used the t-test for partial tests and the F-test for simultaneous tests. The results of this study show that the principal's leadership style and managerial competence partially influence the performance of teachers of the SMP Negeri Kayuagung District. In conclusion, the principal's leadership style and managerial competence of the principal have a significant effect on teacher performance at the Kayuagung District Public Middle School Keywords: Leadership Style, Managerial Competence, Principal Teacher Performance

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze: The influence of principal management on teacher performance; The influence of teacher professionalism on teacher performance; and The combined influence of principal management and teacher professionalism on teacher performance. This research is a quantitative study using partial correlation methods. The study was conducted at SMP IT Izzatuna Putra and Putri Palembang with 52 teacher respondents. Data collection techniques included questionnaires, observations, and documentation. Validity and reliability tests utilized internal validity and reliability measures. Prerequisite analysis tests included normality test, linearity test, and multicollinearity test, with data analyzed using simple regression and multiple regression techniques. The results showed that: there is a positive and significant influence of principal management on teacher performance with a correlation value of 2.013 and a relationship percentage of 0.2%; there is a positive and significant influence of teacher professionalism on teacher performance with a correlation value of 2.048 and a relationship percentage of 2.0%; and there is a positive and significant combined influence of principal management and teacher professionalism on teacher performance with a correlation value of 4.172 and a relationship percentage of 31.2%. In conclusion, the joint influence of principal management and teacher professionalism on teacher performance at Izzatuna Palembang IT Middle School. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of the principal's leadership and work motivation together on the competence of State Junior High School teachers in West Prabumulih District. This research was conducted at the State Junior High School, West Prabumulih District, Prabumulih City, for the 2023/2024 Academic Year. The research period was carried out for 3 months, namely January – March 2024. This study uses a quantitative method by analyzing the results of the research. The population in this study is 116 State Junior High School Teachers in West Prabumulih District, Prabumulih City. The sample in this study is 58 people. The data collection techniques in this study are questionnaires and documentation. The stage of implementing the analysis includes: (1) descriptive analysis, (2) analysis requirements test, and (3) hypothesis test. The results of the study were that there was a significant influence of the principal's leadership and teachers' work motivation simultaneously on the competence of State Junior High School teachers in West Prabumulih District. This means that the better the principal's leadership and teachers' work motivation, of course the teacher's competence will be better.
