Abstract

The Auditorium Room on the 7th Floor of the Central Building at Universitas PGRI Semarang is frequently used for various academic and non-academic activities, making cooling load analysis essential to maintain room temperature and humidity comfort. This study aims to determine the cooling capacity required in the auditorium. The methods employed include direct data collection through measurements, such as the number of occupants, electronic equipment, and room dimensions. Cooling loads were calculated by considering sensible and latent loads; sensible loads were measured based on temperature and equipment quantity, while latent loads were calculated based on air humidity. This study identified the total cooling load for the Auditorium Room on the 7th floor of the Central Building at Universitas PGRI Semarang as 115,155.501 Btu/hr. This cooling load consists of 82,381.608 Btu/hr of sensible load and 32,773.893 Btu/hr of latent load. The cooling load includes various factors, such as: Internal loads from occupants, electronic equipment, and lighting. External loads from glass radiation, walls, floors, roofs, and ventilation. The analysis results indicate that the current AC capacity needs to be reassessed to ensure its capability to achieve ideal room temperature and humidity.

Abstract

SD Negeri Tambakharjo Semarang uses PLN electricity with low installed power. The school is located in an area that has a total photovoltaic output power and solar radiation intensity of 1,486 Mwh/year and 1953.3 Kwh/m2/year.   The average output power per day of photovoltaic (solar panels) in October and November 2021 was 4551 Wh and 3778 Wh.  Therefore, the purpose of community service is to socialize the use of solar power plants (PLTS) through learning activities (education) and solar pv training for students and school teachers. The methods used in this activity are divided into three stages. In the first stage, field observations were carried out to find problems related to the availability of electrical energy in schools. In the second stage, the implementation of community service includes the delivery of solar panel material with lectures, demos, and solar power plant system designs in schools. In the third stage, it is the stage of evaluation or feedback by providing questionnaires to participants. The results of this service activity provide information data on understanding of solar panels and batteries in the good category. For practical activities, it needs to be improved to be taught for students in grades 5 and 6, so that solar pv props are indispensable in the school.

Abstract

Refrigeration systems are an essential need in everyday life. There are lots of modern industry that uses refrigerator for helps maintain temperature stability from overheating and prevents the product from drying out protected from dirt and insect attacks. However, the refrigeration system used in industry still uses a refrigeration system vapor compression and using chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) refrigerant and hydro-chlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) which are harmful to the environment. Therefore, it requires thermoacoustic cooling generated by the engine single-stage thermoacoustic. This research was conducted numerically. In this research, the effects are simulated stack porosity on the performance of thermoacoustic cooling generated by a single-stage thermoacoustic machine at 0°C. the porosity was varied from 0.37 to 0.97. It was found that the stack porosity was optimal when the porosity is 0.97 and the performance of the cooler is 52 %. Moreover, the lowest heating temperature for the thermoacoustic machine is 217°C. This temperature can be used for waste heat recovery.

Abstract

In the city of Semarang along with the development of the city of Semarang as the number five big city in Indonesia, communities have sprung up that have special activities as activities to foster love for the city of Semarang, namely for the future development of the city of Semarang. One of them is the Hysteria community based in Semarang who works for the city of Semarang. Hysteria Community, a community from Semarang. In the management of Hysteria each member of the board has a personal network and that personal network consists of literati, artists, painters, music artists, journalists, art students, choreographers, dance artists, but when their activities have been carried out and information in the form of pictures and writings must be displayed or shown to other people or the public around where they are active or working, They still make wall magazine designs. In the development of the digital technology era requires expertise and skills in the field of communication technology, the wall magazines that are still made by the Hysteria art community are usually still manual or conventional, namely in the form of a collection of wall magazine materials (mading) that are pasted and arranged in such a way on one large sheet of paper of rather thick size, so that the information in the wall magazine (mading) is not widely spread and requires costs, time and energy to make the wall magazine, so there is a waste of costs, so it was thought of how members of the Hysteria art community can independently use the application to disseminate wall magazine information (mading) to convey information on activities using a digital-based internet network in the form of a website to make it more attractive, so it is necessary to carry out a community partnership program, namely holding a web-based digital mading (wall magazine) training using the Google Sites software application without using paper pasted on the wall to reduce waste of cost, time and energy, and accelerate the dissemination of information using internet facilities for the Hysteria art community network spread across the city of Semarang.
