Abstract

The purpose of this research is to update the distillation system by designing an internet of things for monitoring water conditions, so that water conditions can be monitored via a smartphone. This design uses the Arduino Uno microcontroller as the main control of the distillation system and in designing the internet of things, it uses an ESP8266-01 module as a component of sending data from the system to the Blynk application on the smartphone. Monitoring water conditions in this distillation system, there are several conditions, namely, the condition of the pH content in the water, the water concentration (salt content) and it is also equipped with monitoring the water level in the reservoir. Based on the results of the tests carried out, the implementation of the internet of things for monitoring the condition of the distilled water is going well where there is no difference in the appearance of sensor parameters between the LCD and the Blynk application, but the ESP8266-01 module only has a maximum distance of 25 meters, as for the delay. The ESP8266-01 module with the system off condition has an average delay of 8 minutes at night, 10 minutes in the morning, and 12 minutes at night with a provider that has an average internet speed of 12Mb / s. From the data generated in the process of sending data from the system to the blynk application, it requires a bandwidth of 93B and an average of 57bps of input.

Abstract

This study aims to design an automatic pump control system and assess the effectiveness of using pumps in seawater distillation systems. The system uses an Arduino Uno microcontroller for central control of all system activities and a relay as a pump switch. Ultrasonic sensors, pH sensors and TDS sensors as input to provide information on the condition of the water in the storage container, the water pump as an output for pumping and flowing sea water and distilled water. The water pump in the seawater distillation system is used to drain seawater to the initial reservoir with a water level set point >20cm, if the set point is met, the pump will turn on. The second mini pump is used to flow the distilled water to the final reservoir with a set point value of pH <8 and a TDS value <1400, so the pump will turn on. The third mini pump is used to flow distilled water to the second basin with a set point value of pH >8 and a value of TDS >1400, so the pump will turn on, therefore the use of a pump in an automatic seawater distillation system is needed and its use can be said to be effective. Abstract

The use of wideband antennas in radio frequency (RF) systems are intended to improve the efficiency of the system economically. So that problems arise due to differences in RF system frequency allocation in each country can be overcome. Other than that, the need for an antenna that can optimize the direction of the beam becomes one which became a consideration, for that to develop a smart antenna that is capable of producing the different beam. In various studies, wideband antennas have been built only able to work on a single beam. Meanwhile, the antenna has also been proven to be working in multi-beam but still works on a single frequency. The researcher intends to develop an antenna that can work as a smart antenna that applies multi-beam with switching algorithms by having a wide working frequency (wideband). Multi-beam with wideband can be produced by combining wideband antenna array with a Butler matrix that applies the switching beam algorithm with phase array technique so that it can be a smart antenna because the antenna can be adjusted of the beam as desired.

Abstract

Abstrak--Pasokan daya adalah jantung energi fundamental untuk sistem telekomunikasi secara keseluruhan. Jika jantung energi utama dari daya ini tidak bekerja, maka jika suplai daya utama mati, perangkat mati dan bantuan akan berhenti. Karena itu, perusahaan telekomunikasi, termasuk Telkom, harus memiliki sistem catu daya yang dapat mendukung No Break System (Layanan tanpa putus) agar layanan terus aktif (Always on). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis cara kerja perangkat catu daya, khususnya yang berkaitan dengan SOP (Standard Operasional Procedur) dan SMP (Standard Maintenance Procedure), dalam menjamin kehandalan dan keberlanjutan layanan no-break system agar layanan terus aktif (Always on). Metode yang penulis terapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi literatur, observasi dan wawancara. Dalam meningkatkan pelayanan dan kepuasan pelanggan, Telkom memiliki catu daya yang bersumber utama dari PLN dengan sistem yang bekerja selama 24 jam sehingga layanan telekomunikasi tidak terputus. Saat terdapat kendala yang menyebabkan aliran listrik terhambat atau terhenti sehingga catu daya pada PLN padam atau terpaksa harus dipadamkan, maka Genset dapat dipakai sebagai sumber daya pengganti. Ditambah dengan baterai yang bisa dipakai sebagai catu daya cadangan saat pengalihan. Sebagai contoh, pengalihan dari catu daya PLN ke Genset memakan waktu 30 detik sampai 10 menit. Saat catu daya diganti, untuk tetap mengaktifkan aliran listrik, maka digunakanlah baterai sebagai catu daya sementara sampai penggantian selesai. Selain itu, Telkom memiliki sistem catu daya yang didukung oleh layanan tanpa putus atau No Break System yang menyokong layanan agar tetap aktif (Always On)). Abstract--The power supply is the main energy heart for the total telecommunication system. If the main energy heart of this electricity does not work when the main power supply, the device turns off and service will stop. Therefore, telecommunication companies, including Telkom, must have a power supply system that can support the No Break System (continuous service) so that the service continues to be active (Always on). The purpose of this research is to analyze the workings of the power supply devices, especially those related to the Standard Operational Procedure SOP and the SMP (Standard Maintenance Procedure), in ensuring the reliability and sustainability of the no-break system service so that the service continues to be active (Always on). The method that the writer applies in this research is literature study, observation and interview. In improving customer service and satisfaction, Telkom has a power supply system that works for 24 hours without interruption; this is so that telecommunications services are not interrupted. The power supply used is PLN as the main source, Genset as a source when the power supply at PLN goes out, and Batteries as a backup power supply when changing the power supply from PLN to the Genset which takes 10 to 30 seconds. This power supply system owned by Telkom supports the No Break System so that the service continues to be active (Always on).

Abstract

This study aims to realize the manufacturing of a prototype design of a pico-hydro power plant, which is expected to be a science of study and a reference for students at the University of Singaperbangsa Karawang in particular and Indonesian students in general, as well as monitoring the performance test of the prototype of pico-hydro power plant that is used as an electricity needs for lighting. The design and manufacture of this prototype require several supporting components: a). Pressure gauge; b). Pelton type turbines; c). Tacho Meter; d). Single-phase Ac generator; e). Avometer; f). Energy saving LED lamp. Pico-hydro power plant prototype testing is carried out by measuring the voltage generated by the generator, tested at no load and given a load using variations of 55%, 70%, 85%, 100% valve openings. Based on the results of the performance test, the pico-hydro power plant can work well. That matter can be seen from the largest flow valve opening which results in a high water flow rate, so that it can rotate the turbine quickly. The flow rate greatly affects the generator rotation. No-load test results, the largest voltage of 90 volts is obtained when using 100% valve opening, with the output producing an air flow of 0.0017 m3 / s, rotation (N1) 136 rpm, rotation (N2) 979 rpm. The results with the load, the largest voltage of 60 volts is obtained when using 100% valve openings, with the output producing rotation (N1) 133 rpm, rotation (N2) 957 rpm, and current 0.13 A when supplying the 4 LED lamps type of 3 watts with litting up brightly.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTelah dilakukan pengabdian kepada masyarakat untuk mendorong terciptanya pengetahuan dan kesadaran dari civitas akademik di SMAN 6 Karawang dalam rangka pelestarian lingkungan hidup. Salah satu yang dapat dilakukan oleh pihak sekolah adalah dengan meningkatkan kesadaran siswa atau warga sekolah akan pentingnya penanganan limbah terutama limbah yang dihasilkan dari laboratorium sekolah serta pentingnya melakukan penghijauan atau melestarikan lingkungan hidup salah satunya penanaman tanaman menggunakan sistem hidroponik. Banyak cara yang dilakukan untuk mengajak siswa peduli terhadap lingkungan, yaitu dengan mengajak siswa berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan pengelolaan lingkungan hidup, cara meningkatkan kualitas lingkungan hidup, serta mempunyai kesadaran mencegah kerusakan lingkungan. Kegiatan penanganan limbah dilakukan dengan memberikan pelatihan kepada siswa SMAN 6 Karawang tentang pembuatan karbon aktif dan aplikasinya sebagai adsorben limbah logam berat. Selain itu juga diberikan sosisalisasi pentingnya penanaman tanaman dalam peningkatan kualitas lingkungan hidup salah satunya penanaman menggunakan sistem hidroponik. Pada kegiatan tersebut dijelaskan tentang proses perakitan kit hidroponik dan penyerahan sistem hidroponik yang telah selesai dibuat. Serangkaian kegiatan pelatihan dapat meningkatkan kesadaran dan kepedulian siswa dalam menjaga kelestarian lingkungan hidup. Kata kunci: karbon aktif; limbah; hidroponik; peduli lingkungan ABSTRACTCommunity service activities have been carried out to encourage the creation of knowledge and awareness of the academic community at SMAN 6 Karawang in the context of environmental preservation. One of the things that can be done by the school is to increase the awareness of students or school residents about the importance of handling waste, especially waste generated from school laboratories and the importance of doing reforestation or environmental preservation, one of which is by planting plants using a hydroponic system. There are many ways to encourage students to care about the environment, namely by inviting students to participate in environmental management activities, how to improve environmental quality, and have awareness to prevent environmental damage. Waste handling activities are carried out by providing training to students of SMAN 6 Karawang about the manufacture of activated carbon and its application as an adsorbent for heavy metal waste. In addition, socialization was also given about the importance of planting plants in improving the quality of the environment, one of which is by planting with a hydroponic system. This activity explains the process of assembling the hydroponic kit and the submission of the completed hydroponic system. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan melakukan evaluasi penerapan Information Technology (IT) governance pada institusi sektor layanan publik, dengan menggunakan kerangka kerja COBIT 5. Evaluasi dilakukan untuk memastikan kinerja implementasi layanan teknologi informasi (TI) dapat dirasakan manfaatnya oleh pemangku kepentingan dalam penyediaan informasi yang cepat, akurat, efektif dan efisien untuk mendukung pengambilan keputusan. Metode penelitian menggunakan COBIT 5 pada proses delivery, service and support (DSS) dan process capability model (PCM). Pendekatan yang dilakukan berupa studi kasus untuk menilai efektivitas layanan TI yang dijalankan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai process capability level domain DSS adalah 3,3 (established), yakni DSS1=4, DSS2=4, DSS3=4, DSS4=3, DSS5=3 dan DSS6=2. Proses DSS01, DSS02, DSS03 dan DSS04 telah memenuhi target kinerja. Sedangkan proses DSS04, DSS05 dan DSS06 masih dibawah target kinerja sehingga perlu dilakukan perbaikan. Rekomendasi perbaikan secara umum meliputi penyusunan dokumen BCP dan DRP, pengendalian informasi dan data bisnis, audit dan sertifikasi berdasarkan standar sistem manajemen keamanan informasi.

Abstract

Transmisi pada gardu induk sudah banyak dikenal sebagai penyaluran tenaga listrik. Salah satu bagiannya yaitu Transmisi Gardu Induk yang betugas sebagai sarana penghubung aliran listrik antara bagian pembangkit dan distribusi sebelum dialirkan ke konsumen. Tidak hanya itu, bagian transmisi gardu indukpun bertugas untuk menaikan atau menurunkan tegangan listrik. Sebab itulah Transmisi Gardu Induk menjadi bagian penting dalam terciptanya listrik yang sampai pada konsumen dan Transmisi Gardu induk merupakan aset negara yang terjaga dan tidak boleh sembarang orang yang masuk. Salah satu peralatan pada gardu induk ialah CVT (Capacitive Voltage Transformer) yang bertugas sebagai alat proteksi yang mentransformasikan besaran tegangan sistem dari yang tinggi ke besaran tegangan listrik yang lebih rendah sehingga pengukuran menajdi lebih aman, akurat dan teliti. Karena CVT merupakan salah satu alat penting pada gardu induk, penelitian ini memberikan analisis saat pemeliharaan CVT guna terjaganya kelayakan performa CVT tersebut dengan melakukan 3 pengujian yaitu pengujian pentanahan, tahanan isolasi, dan tan delta.

Abstract

Internet Of Things-Based Automatic Trash Can Bot Telegram Using the Hybrid PV Grid System is a tool that serves to make it easier for people to dispose of garbage without touching the lid of the trash can to enter trash and equipped with a notification system via the telegram bot application to notify the cleaners when the trash can is full, as well as a source of voltage the trash can is equipped with two sources of power generation using solar panels and using electricity from the State Electricity Company (PLN). This automatic trash can can be a solution to the problem of garbage dumpers who are lazy to open the lid of dirty garbage so they put garbage outside the trash can and reduce the problem of garbage accumulation because the cleaners are late to empty the trash so that the smell of garbage comes out and pollutes the surrounding air.

Abstract

The performance of a solar panel module is strongly influenced by its orientation and tilt angle. Tests have been carried out to track variations in the performance of the solar panel module and electrical parameters at various angles of inclination in the conditions of Karawang and Bogor. There are two experimental modes: 1) a varying slope module under a constant irradiance level, 2) a varying irradiation intensity at the optimal tilt setting. For the former schematic, the irradiation levels were carried out at 2 different locations, and for the later setup, the angle of inclination of the module was varied from 90° and 180° by using a single axis tracer At 90° tilted angle in Karawang test place at rest condition, morning experiment give the result of 5,69V on average while in Bogor the experiment gives 5,46V on average. At 180° tilted angle in Karawang test place at rest condition, morning experiment give the result of 5,49V on average while in afternoon experiment afternoon 3.026V on average. In Bogor test place morning experiment give solar panel 5,2V on average and 3,33V at afternoon experiment. In the electrical parameters of the module, the open circuit voltage, short circuit current, maximum power point voltage and maximum power point current decrease substantially with increasing slope angle, while the charge factor decreases somewhat gradually. Tests in both Karawang and Bogor in the afternoon and afternoon confirmed that the optimal tilt angle on cloudy on  with UV index between 1-2 in the morning and 3-4 in the afternoon on average is 180° tilted and directing the solar panel module at this angle will maximize the captured solar energy and thereby improve its performance.
