Abstract

Abstract

Bulan Oktober-November umumnya upwelling melemah lagi.

Abstract

Sensitivity is one of the parameters of the vulnerability in a disaster. Gunungpati Sub-district is one of the sub-districts that had a high-intensity landslide in Semarang city. Assessment of the sensitivity index to disasters is necessary to reduce vulnerabilities and to become a consideration for policy-taking factors in the emergence of disasters. The sensitivity index uses the population density, building density, sex ratio, dependency ratio, poverty rate, and education level. The method used is a weighted scoring method for each sensitivity variable. The sensitivity index of the Gunungpati Sub-district on landslide ranges from 2.6 - 2.8. Sensitivity levels of the Gunungpati Sub-district are classified into three classes there are little sensitive, moderately sensitive, and sensitive classes. Five villages have high sensitivity values. Special attention from the government is needed to increase the capacity of the population in terms of social and economic aspects to reduce the high sensitivity value in the area. Mitigation that can be done by the government related to the sensitivity of this area can be through policies such as capital assistance and training for vulnerable groups, equalization of employment, making policies, and strict control of development permits in areas at risk of landslides.

Abstract

Abstract

Mangroves are coastal vegetation that lives in tidal zones, providing ecosystem services such as biota habitats, abrasion barriers, breakbreaks, and significant carbon sequestration for climate change mitigation. However, the mangrove ecosystem in Indonesia, including in Rembang District, which includes Pasarbanggi, Tireman, and Kabongan Lor Villages, has been degraded due to land conversion into ponds, logging, and reclamation. This study aims to analyze the spatio-temporal dynamics of mangrove cover in 1985-2025 in Rembang District using MVI based on Landsat 5 (1985, 1995), Landsat 7 (2005), and Sentinel-2A (2016, 2025) satellite imagery. The analysis was carried out with a composite of NIR, Green, and SWIR Bands, digitization, cropping, cover classification, and analysis of mangrove cover changes. The results of the study show that the area of mangrove cover has experienced very significant fluctuations. The period 1985–2005 was dominated by heavy degradation (-67.93%), while the period 2005–2025 recorded a very strong recovery of mangrove ecosystems (+339.56%), with the high cover class increasing from 17.39 ha to 27.40 ha. The success of rehabilitation and reduced land conversion have succeeded in restoring the area of mangrove forests while improving the quality of mangroves in Rembang District. Abstract

PT PLN Nusantara Power UP Cirata is one of the largest hydropower plants in Indonesia, with an installed capacity of 1.008 MW, and plays a strategic role in supporting national electricity supply security. Although classified as renewable energy, hydropower operations are not entirely free from environmental impacts, including greenhouse gas emissions from biomass decomposition in the reservoir and waste generated from turbine and generator maintenance. This study aims to analyze the environmental impacts of electricity generation using the Life Cycle Assessment method with a cradle-to-gate system boundary. The assessment was conducted using SimaPro 9.5.0.2 with the CML-IA Baseline method, where the functional unit was 1 kWh of electricity. The main hotspot within the cradle boundary is the Cirata Reservoir due to diesel consumption, contributing 1.21E-04 kg CO2-eq/kWh to global warming potential, 2.35E-11 kg CFC-11-eq/kWh to ozone depletion potential, 3.52E-07 kg SO2-eq/kWh to acidification potential, and 3.32E-06 kg PO4-eq/kWh to eutrophication potential. Within the gate boundary, hotspots were identified in the turbine, where used oil contributed 1.91E-05 kg CO2-eq/kWh to global warming potential, turbine oil contributed 2.63E-12 kg CFC-11-eq/kWh to ozone depletion and 3.97E-08 kg SO2-eq/kWh to acidification potential, and the sewage treatment plant contributed 3.49E-07 kg PO4-eq/kWh to eutrophication potential.

Abstract

Since 1989, most of the waste processing in DKI Jakarta Province has ended at the Bantar Gebang TPST, causing the available capacity to accommodate waste to approach the maximum limit. One alternative processing that has a high level of efficiency in reducing the volume of waste is the PSEL (Waste to Electrical Energy Management) facility. Planning PSEL facilities in urban areas requires consideration from all aspects. While the space utilization in DKI Jakarta is quite dense and there are no practical guidelines in determining the location of PSEL facilities, it is necessary to conduct a comprehensive study, namely a study of the potential development of PSEL areas. The purpose of this study is to obtain the location and spatial pattern of the potential development of the PSEL area and obtain the characteristics of the area with the 'Recommended' category as the location of PSEL facility development. This study uses geospatial analysis with the quantitative Weighted Overlay method, where geospatial modeling is carried out by inputting the weight of each criterion (aspects that have an influence on determining the location of PSEL facilities) obtained from the results of the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) analysis assisted by a questionnaire tool. The results of the study obtained 2 (two) areas that have High Category status with a total area of 1.52 ha located in Cilincing District and Kelapa Gading District, North Jakarta with the condition that the first area occupies an improper designation zone (Industrial and Warehousing Zone) while the second area has a radius distance of less than 500 m to the nearest settlement and tourist location.
