Abstract

Mantra in shadow puppet performances are rituals which essentially provide noble values related to human life as well as a very high aesthetic spectacle mainly in Java and Bali. In addition, they are also a complementary function of religious ceremonies particularly in several regions in Indonesia. Dharma Pewayangan is a guide consisting of law, reference, procedure, obligation, and guidance for puppeteers in carrying out their obligations when performing a shadow puppet show. Understanding and implementing Dharma Pewayangan are mandatory to puppeteers in order to circumvent a curse from Sang Hyang Catur Lokapala as a result of neglecting the wisdoms. Puppeteers chant a mantra (incantations) prior to the show until the event is concluded. The mantras (incantations) in the show serve as supplication before God, guarding oneself, arousing taksu, neutralizing bhuta-kala, and making tirta.

Abstract

Yoga is a way to connect or unite in the spiritual or spiritual dimension which is the main process / path to achieve the goal, namely eternal freedom or the union of the soul with God. This oneness exists after breaking the duality of mind into the highest consciousness. Āsanas is the third part of the eight yoga paths, which are known as astāngga yoga or the eight sections of yoga. The aim is to make our bodies steady and ready for higher techniques such as pranayama (breath control), pratyahara (sense withdrawal), dharana (concentration), dhyana (meditation) and Samadhi (cosmic realization). The method used in this writing uses qualitative methods, using qualitative descriptive analysis. Besides that, in the implementation of the training, the method of material presentation, question and answer method, and practical method is also carried out. Data collection used by using observation, interview and documentation techniques. Through āsanas yoga training which is not theoretical but direct practice through the āsanas yoga training structure by emphasizing the importance of deep understanding of the philosophy of each āsanas pose that is carried out. So that by staying more persistent, it will be easier to concentrate and meditate. In addition, the āsanas movement balances the production of hormones from the various glands, the stretching and bending position of the āsanas movement, which is carried out for a certain period of time, puts special and sustained pressure on the glands so that it stimulates the glands in various ways, regulates glandular production and ultimately going to control emotions. If the deficiency of the glands is resolved, the mind becomes free from emotional distress and a perfect inner calm will be achieved. So that the training participants will feel the benefits both morally, physically, mentally and spiritually by making the practice of yoga as a sadhana.

Abstract

The implementation of yoga exercises through physical and mental exercises with mastery of breath, posture and emotional sense meditation, aims to increase the mother's confidence and psychological balance during pregnancy so that the quality of sleep is better. In the initial observations, it was found that the handling of complaints of sleep disorders in third trimester pregnant women carried out at the UPTD Puskesmas by providing health education counseling by changing the mother's sleeping hours during the day was longer and holding regular yoga exercises that were carried out in a week. The formulation of the problem in this study are; (1) How is the yoga exercise learning system for pregnant women in the third trimester at UPTD Puskesmas 1 North Denpasar, (2) What are the implications of yoga exercise on sleep quality for pregnant women in the third trimester at UPTD Puskesmas 1, North Denpasar. This research are examined by two theories, namely, value theory and practical theory. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. The results showed that (1) the practice of yoga during pregnancy through a structured sequence of exercises can contribute to improving the quality of sleep for participants (2) Yoga practice during pregnancy has implications for health, spiritual awareness and self-awareness in the form of reducing edema and cramps, respectively. which often occurs in the last months of pregnancy, helps the baby's position and movement (3) improves the digestive system and appetite in pregnant women, restores calm and focus, reduces tension, anxiety and depression during pregnancy

Abstract

Orang lanjut usia mengalami perubahan struktur otot yaitu penurunan massa otot dan atrofi. Efek dari perubahan tersebut dapat mempengaruhi kekuatan dan mobilitas otot. Kekuatan otot merupakan bagian terpenting dalam berjalan, berjalan dan keseimbangan. Kelemahan otot pada anggota tubuh bagian bawah, terutama anggota tubuh bagian bawah, dapat menyebabkan gangguan keseimbangan pada tubuh. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh Hatha Yoga terhadap keseimbangan tubuh lansia. Latihan Hatha Yoga berfokus pada pikiran, gerakan fisik, dan pernapasan. Gerakan-gerakan yang dihasilkan dalam Hatha Yoga dikoordinasikan oleh otot-otot tubuh untuk mencapai stabilitas dan kelenturan tubuh yang baik, sehingga dapat membantu meningkatkan keseimbangan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pre-eksperimental dengan desain single group pretest-posttest. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling dengan melibatkan 11 orang lansia berusia 60 hingga 74 tahun. Data keseimbangan tubuh lansia pre dan post intervensi dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan checklist Berg Balance Scale (BBS). Sebelum diberikan intervensi hatha yoga, sebagian besar responden keseimbangan tubuhnya sedang yaitu 7 responden (63,6%). Setelah diberikan intervensi hatha yogaselama 4 minggu yang dilakukan 3 kali seminggu, terjadi perubahan tingkat keseimbangan tubuh lansia. Sebagian besar responden tingkat keseimbangan tubuhnya menjadi baik yaitu sebanyak 6 responden (54,5 Berdasarkan uji statistik Wilcoxon diperoleh p-value sebesar 0,025 yang berarti Hatha Yoga berpengaruh terhadap keseimbangan tubuh lansia. Berdasarkan hasil ini, diharapkan para lansia meningkatkan keaktifannya dalam kegiatan hatha yogadengan mengikuti jadwal yang ditentukan secara teratur untuk meningkatkan tingkat keseimbangan tubuh sehingga menurunkan risiko jatuh.
