Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan relasi media, negara, dan masyarakat dalam pandangan teori strukturasi Anthony Giddens. Data dikumpulkan dari sumber-sumber kepustakaan. Teori strukturasi menunjukkan bahwa relasi media, negara dan masyarakat adalah sebuah praktik sosial, bukan dikuasai oleh negara atau kelas dominan. Sebab media senantiasa berada dalam situasi dinamis, cair, dan prosesual. Dalam situasi historis tertentu media dapat mereproduksi artikulasi ideologis negara, namun dalam situasi lain media dapat menciptakan strategi-strategi resistensi. Kata Kunci : Teori Strukturisasi, Media, Negara, dan Masyarakat

Abstract

Tulisan ini menunjukan bahwa, sebagai sebuah kajian, Ilmu Komunikasi berkembang pada formasi sosial kapitalisme. Mengapa?. Pertama, karakter sejarah disiplin-disiplin yang menyokongnya, terutama dalam hal ini Sosiologi dan Antropologi. Kedua, dukungan dari sosiologi dan antropologi, menawarkan dua dimensi bagi gagasan dan praktik dalam mensikapi masyarakat modern, yaitu dominasi dan perlawanan terhadap struktur dan gagasan masyarakat modern itu sendiri. Abstract

The arrest of Minister Edhy Prabowo occurred in the early hours of Wednesday 25 November 2020 at Soekarno-Hatta Airport by the KPK. This attracted the attention of online media including the Trans7 Afternoon Editorial Board. The research problem studied is how Trans7 constructs the reality of Edhy Prabowo's arrest at Soekarno-Hatta Airport and the frames that appear in its reporting. Knowing the construction of Trans7 is important because it is a powerful media that has editorial autonomy. The research uses qualitative methods through Pan & Kosicky's framing analysis model. The results show that Trans7 sees Edhy Prabowo as an OTT suspect by the KPK. The news structure studied is the framing element; schematic, script, thematic and rhetorical. Schematic; Trans7 linked the suspect to the alleged bribery case with foreign parties (San Francisco). The main source of the news is the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). The background information that emerged was an alleged bribery case that occurred overseas (San Francisco). Script; Trans7 positions the information covered as complementary and completely conveyed. Thematic; Trans7 believes that the suspect is connected to a local network, Edhy is suspected of being involved. Rhetorically; Trans7 provides apposition and text emphasis on graphic elements.

Abstract

Music is not only entertainment, but also has an important role in human life, one of which is as a medium of communication. In some studies, music is also used as therapy and counseling in overcoming mental health problems. Research also shows that Generation Z is more prone to mental health problems. In dealing with mental health problems, each individual has their own way to manage and relieve stress, one of which is listening to music as a form of self-healing. One of the music that is claimed to be self-healing is the song “Rehat” by Kunto Aji. Music as part of popular culture products can be a powerful medium to convey messages about mental health and self-healing. This study aims to determine the reception of generation Z in Bandar Lampung towards music as a medium of self-healing in the lyrics of the song Rehat. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the theory of reception analysis by Stuart Hall. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and documentation to 6 informants who have different background experiences and self-defense mechanisms. Data were collected by conducting in-depth interviews with informants who are generation Z, listen to Rehat songs, and have experienced or are experiencing stress. The results of this study show that generation Z is in two positions, namely hegemony position and negotiation position in the process of interpreting self healing in the lyrics of the song “Rehat” by Kunto Aji.

Abstract

Seiring dengan meningkatnya kasus kekerasan seksual di Indonesia, hal ini pun tidak luput dari pemberitaan media yang berani. Pemberitaan kekerasan seksual menjadi persoalan bagaimana media memihak korban. Fokus penelitian ini menyoroti makna berita 'Ketika Pelayanan Kesehatan Tidak Mendukung Hak Korban Kekerasan Seksual. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti akan melihat bagaimana media Projectmultatuli.org memberitakan kasus kekerasan seksual dan bias media. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui makna berita dengan menganalisis wacana dan melihat bias media terhadap korban kekerasan seksual. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode paradigma kritis deskriptif kualitatif, dilihat dari analisis wacana model Van Dijk. Menampilkan makna berita, secara aktif baik dari pihak pembuat berita maupun dari pihak pembaca.

Abstract

Disney, as a production house and global film publisher, now appears to be heavily emphasizing woke culture values, one of which includes advocating for LGBT minorities through messages in its films. LGBT as an agenda in the woke culture movement is presented by the media in their respective styles and for example, the LGBT form of film media appears on the side actors who are gay, lesbian, bisex, transgender to queer who are present in the scope of life of the main actor of the film. This research aims to analyze and explain how Disney represents LGBT behavior in the context of film media The method used by the researcher is a literature study conducted by collecting data in the form of documents consisting of scene images and dialogue in films. During the data analysis process of the research, the author utilized Christian Metz' semiotics method to interpret the cinematic elements of the film and extract the meaning of messages in each scene Furthermore, this study is supported by the theory of multiculturalism in politics. The results obtained by the researcher are that in the film Strange Word (2022), Ethan, who is the main character, is gay and he loves his male friend named Diazo Furthermore, in the film Lightyear (2022), Commander Hawthorne is the main character's friend, Buzz Lightyear, and she is a lesbian.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has brought significant changes to the dynamics of interpersonal communication between parents and adolescents. The presence of digital media in family life has not only shifted interaction patterns from face-to-face communication to technology-mediated communication, but has also generated various challenges, including conflict, differences in perception, and the need for communication adjustment between parents and adolescents. This article aims to analyze the dynamics of parent–adolescent interpersonal communication in the digital era through a literature review approach. This study employs a qualitative descriptive literature review method. Data are collected from relevant scholarly sources, including national and international journal articles, academic books, and scientific publications that discuss family communication and adolescent digital media use. Data analysis is conducted using content analysis to identify major themes related to changes in communication patterns, parent–adolescent conflict, negotiation processes, and the maintenance of emotional closeness within families. The findings indicate that digital media plays an ambivalent role in family communication. Poorly managed digital media use may intensify conflict between parents and adolescents, while adaptive and dialogic interpersonal communication can strengthen emotional closeness. Therefore, the quality of interpersonal communication remains a key factor in maintaining harmonious parent–adolescent relationships in the digital era.

Abstract

This study explores the role of interpersonal communication in disseminating and introducing the Elektronik Siap Nikah dan Hamil (Elsimil) application to Family Assistance Teams (TPK). This study, a novel piece of research, comprehensively analyzes interpersonal communication in the diffusion of Elsimil, a digital innovation in public health for accelerating stunting reduction, initiated by BKKBN. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving 10 informants over three months. The findings indicate that interpersonal communication plays a crucial role throughout all stages of innovation diffusion: knowledge (introducing and providing initial information), persuasion (building interest and positive attitudes), decision (encouraging adoption), implementation (guiding practical use and addressing challenges), and confirmation (ensuring sustainability). Family planning counselors serve as early adopters and opinion leaders, facilitating application adoption and bridging technical and psychological barriers faced by TPK cadres. As the first group trained on Elsimil, counselors become the primary point of reference for hesitant cadres who lack sufficient understanding. Theoretically, this study enriches Rogers' Diffusion of Innovations Theory for the implementation of digital technology in public health services, specifically in stunting prevention programs. It demonstrates how interpersonal communication and opinion leadership accelerate the adoption of innovation in community-based health interventions. Practically, the findings provide valuable insights for BKKBN and program implementers to enhance family planning counselors' digital literacy and interpersonal communication competencies, ultimately strengthening the effectiveness of stunting prevention initiatives through improved cadre support systems.   Keywords: Elsimil Application; Family Planning Counselors; Innovation Diffusion; Interpersonal Communication; Stunting Prevention
