Abstract

Tulisan singkat ini berupaya mengidentifikasi kebutuhan pengelolaan preservasi digital arsip peta (blue print) di kantor arsip Universitas Indonesia. Preservasi digital memiliki keterkaitan dengan rekod elektronik, diantaranya adalah isu teknologi informasi, aspek hukum, aspek manajemen, standar preservasi arsip elektronik, dan metadata rekod elektronik. Kajian yang dilakukan pada 2013 ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode observasi dan studi literatur. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa secara sederhana pembagian tahapan preservasi arsip peta di Kantor Arsip UI adalah pertama, preservasi fisik arsip yang masih dalam bentuk hard paper yaitu dengan melakukan penjilidan untuk arsip peta kemudian pada tahap berikutnya adalah secara sederhana bisa disebut dengan preservasi digital yaitu melakukan alih media terhadap arsip peta tersebut. Dengan demikian, berdasarkan hasil observasi dan studi literatur hal penting yang perlu diperhatikan untuk melakukan pengelolaan arsip peta di UI adalah sebagai berikut: klasifikasi/filling system, metadata, retensi dan disposal arsip peta, strategi migrasi data, pertukaran data, penyimpanan, dan audit informasi.

Abstract

This article discussed the Framing Analysis of Russian and Ukrainian Conflict News on the online media Xinhua News and The Washington Post April 7, 2022 edition. The study used a constructive paradigm and media representation using the Robert N. Entman Framing analysis method with the assumption that framing had two major dimensions, selection, and emphasis of issues. The study used a qualitative analysis method which aimed to find out how the packaging of news from the Xinhua News and The Washington Post media were opposite each other. The results of the study showed that there were differences in the emphasis on issues in the two online media The Washington Post and Xinhua News. The Washington Post's news framing blamed Russia as a war crime actor for its invasion of Ukraine, while Xinhua News said that the root causes of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine were Russia's continued expansion of the US-led NATO. Abstract

The 2020 regional head election was the stage for the battle for political dynasties. This research discusses the various dynamics of political dynasties that have recently warmed up during the 2020 local elections, tracing the long history of dynastic politics in Indonesia, comparisons of dynastic politics in several countries, the impact and consequences of the phenomenon of political dynasties, and the relationship between political dynasties and regional elections and regional autonomy and concludes with a review of public attitudes and a settlement offer. The purpose of this study is to get a complete and actual description of the dynamics of various political dynasties. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive approach. Data collection in this study was carried out by emphasizing the exploration and collection of detailed information and the framework of generating new knowledge. Within the limitations due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this research tries to maximize the use of literature review with data collection methods by combining primary and secondary sources to obtain more holistic data and information. Researchers try to maximize the use of various sources from books or journals, documents from various relevant laws and regulations, as well as the latest and most trusted news sources. The results of this study indicate that dynastic politics has many impacts and consequences with a tendency to have negative impacts and threaten democracy. There is a direct connection between political dynasties, regional autonomy and regional elections. The practice of political dynasty is also a part of power which is not perfectly distributed. If this condition continues, it will also open up opportunities for the emergence of various abuses and has the potential to foster the growth of corrupt and collusive practices at the local level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the song “Bayar Bayar Bayar” using the Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) approach based on Teun A. van Dijk’s model. The song was selected due to its explicit criticism of corruption and abuse of power within the Indonesian police institution. The analysis covers three main dimensions in Van Dijk’s theory: discourse structure (macrostructure, superstructure, and microstructure), social cognition, and social context. The analysis reveals that thematically, the song represents the collective experience of society in facing bureaucratic injustice, particularly in the form of illegal levies by the authorities. Its repetitive and straightforward superstructure strengthens the main message. At the microstructural level, the use of direct language, punk-styled stylistics, and the rhetorical repetition of “bayar polisi” (pay the police) create a provocative effect and reinforce the social critique being delivered. In terms of social cognition, the song reflects the public's mental model of the police as an institution that perpetuates social inequality rather than acting as a neutral protector. From a social context perspective, the song emerges from the reality of unequal power relations between citizens and authorities, serving as a symbolic form of resistance against hegemonic power structures. “Bayar Bayar Bayar” is thus not only a musical work but also an ideological expression with critical discourse value in advocating for social justice.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas mengenai dinamika perubahan standar kecantikan di Indonesia akibat pengaruh hegemoni budaya Korea, khususnya di kalangan Generasi Z. Masuknya budaya Korea melalui gelombang Hallyu telah membentuk standar kecantikan baru yang mengedepankan kulit putih cerah, wajah tirus, dan tubuh langsing. Hal ini secara tidak langsung menggantikan standar kecantikan lokal yang beragam. Generasi Z sebagai generasi digital paling aktif menjadi kelompok yang paling rentan terpengaruh oleh paparan media sosial dan industri hiburan Korea. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur dan wawancara untuk mengidentifikasi bentuk-bentuk perubahan persepsi serta dampaknya terhadap identitas dan kepercayaan diri generasi muda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hegemoni budaya Korea telah menggeser cara pandang sebagian besar Generasi Z Indonesia terhadap kecantikan, yang pada akhirnya memunculkan tekanan sosial dan potensi hilangnya apresiasi terhadap kecantikan lokal.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of photography and video as a brand strategy for Pempek Bandar Lampung products. As one of South Sumatra's famous culinary specialties, Pempek needs a creative approach to increase the attractiveness and sustainability of the market. In the digital era, visualization is an important component of a brand's consumer perception design. With a qualitative approach, this study analyzes how photos and videos by Pempek entrepreneurs from Bandar Lampung are used to build a strong brand image. This data was collected by observing various visual content on social media and by observing interviews with economic actors. The results of the study show that the use of photos and videos plays an important role in increasing brand awareness and customer loyalty. In addition, a visual strategy that can be proven to be effective in introducing product innovation and consumer attention. The study concluded that the use of visual intensity can be an effective tool to improve the position of Pempek products in regional and regional markets.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of deepfake content on the level of public trust in visual information on social media. Using a between-subjects experimental design, the study involved 20 active social media user respondents in Indonesia (aged 18-45 years) who were randomly divided into two groups: an experimental group (exposed to deepfake content) and a control group (exposed to original content). Data were collected through a questionnaire measuring three dimensions of trust: (1) perceived authenticity of the content, (2) source credibility, and (3) emotional impact. The t-test results showed significant differences (p < 0.05) between the two groups, with the deepfake group having lower trust scores on all dimensions (mean score: 2.4 vs. 4.2 for content authenticity; 2.8 vs. 4.4 for source credibility; 2.7 vs. 4.0 for emotional impact). Regression analysis revealed that education level (β = 0.35) and frequency of social media use (β = -0.27) significantly affected the level of trust. Pearson correlation findings also showed a strong positive relationship between perceived authenticity of content and trust levels (r = 0.72, p < 0.001). This study concludes that exposure to deepfake content significantly reduces public trust in visual information, with the effect compounded by intensive social media use and moderated by education level. The implication is that evidence-based media literacy strategies are needed to raise public awareness about deepfake technology, as well as stricter regulation of synthetic content on digital platforms.

Abstract

Industri rokok di Indonesia menghadapi berbagai pembatasan dalam media konvensional, namun kehadiran media sosial membuka peluang baru untuk membangun citra dan mempengaruhi persepsi publik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji strategi branding yang diterapkan oleh akun Instagram “Komunitaskretek” serta dampaknya terhadap normalisasi budaya merokok dan munculnya permasalahan sosial. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui analisis isi terhadap 104 caption unggahan selama satu bulan, serta visualisasi data menggunakan metode Wordcloud untuk mengidentifikasi kata-kata kunci dominan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa akun tersebut membingkai rokok sebagai simbol budaya, solidaritas sosial, dan daya tanggulang terhadap tekanan hidup. Strategi komunikasi digital yang digunakan memperkuat citra positif terhadap rokok serta menciptakan resistensi terhadap kebijakan pengendalian tembakau. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa media sosial memainkan peran penting dalam transformasi persepsi publik terhadap rokok dari sekadar produk konsumsi menjadi simbol identitas budaya yang dilegitimasi secara emosional dan sosial.

Abstract

This article discusses the social phenomenon related to using Siger Lampung as one of the cultural attributes typical of the Lampung region. Currently, the use of Siger Lampung is increasingly varied, ranging from clothing, decoration, and public facilities to commercial places. Siger, which is currently more often used in the context of architecture and design, requires adjustments that some traditional and cultural figures may not approve of. This adjustment also requires a careful approach to ensure that the essence of its culture is not lost and can continue to survive. Given these obstacles and challenges, the community and government need to work together on the importance of maintaining Siger as an integral part of Lampung culture. Through support through education, promotion, and cultural initiatives, Siger can remain a symbol of recognition in this modern era. This study aims to analyze the role of Siger Lampung in preserving traditions and cultural adaptation in a multi-ethnic society. By understanding the dynamics of Siger use, this cultural symbol is expected to function as a uniform tool and collective identity in various communities.

Abstract

Film merupakan salah satu bentuk media komunikasi yang tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai hiburan, tetapi juga sebagai sarana untuk mempelajari makna kehidupan. Salah satu film yang cukup populer belakangan ini adalah 1 Kakak 7 Ponakan, yang mengajarkan nilainilai keluarga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap tanda-tanda semiotika yang disajikan dalam film tersebut. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teori semiotika Roland Barthes, penelitian ini menganalisis data melalui identifikasi tanda, klasifikasi makna, dan interpretasi untuk menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada tingkat denotatif, rumah digambarkan sebagai tempat berlindung sekaligus ruang konflik, serta kantor yang mencerminkan keseimbangan antara kehidupan profesional dan keluarga. Pada tingkat konotatif, film ini menggambarkan hubungan antar generasi serta tekanan sosial yang dialami Moko. Sementara itu, pada tingkat mitos, film ini merefleksikan peran pengasuhan anak yang umumnya diasosiasikan dengan perempuan dalam budaya patriarki, serta menyoroti tanggung jawab keluarga yang dipikul bersamasama.
