Abstract

Background. Various studies have shown the prevalence of problem occurring among employees of officers of healtfacilities is quite high. Workplace hazards both physical, biological, or chemical needs to be controlled in such a way so as to create a healty working environment, safe and safety. Various control measures can be taken to deal with workplace hazard, but technically control the hazard it self and is considered the most effective, while the use of personal protective equipment is the last option.Method. The study design is a map analysis research. Respondents used is from the results of several studies related to the used of APD in some hospitals. This sample taken from the nurse-patient department in the room both indoors are at risk for such diseases transmitted diseases in the wards and in the intensive care ward such as ICU. Research tool used is the result of research from various studies conducted by analyzing.Result. Result of research in the Banyumas hospital showed that the level of compliance in the use of APD pers that already exist in the form of ward Bougenville and Cempaka action suit, mask and gloves.100% of the interview informants acquainted with APD, traditions, beliefs and value systems adopted in compliance with APD use shows 90% of informants gave a positive response, while 10% of informants have a bad habit of regular informants must commence. The results Chrysmadani (2011) showed that most of the 14 people (58%) felt the availability of equipment in the hospital Graha Husada Gresik and none of the nurses who feel the availability of a tool is still lacking. Medium Spearman rank test statistic, obtained significance value p = 0.002 which is smaller than 0.05, so there is a connection with the limited means adherence nurses in hospitals Graha Husada GresikConclusion. Based on the analysis of the research map can be concluded that the hospital has had an opportunity to cultivate safety 2.9 times more adherent to run universal precautions including APD usage behavior on nurse. Nurses who are obedient to the use of APD to be healthy and fit in the general workup check up, so avoid nosocomial infections. Instead caregivers who do not adhere to the use of APD will result in opportunities for nosocomial infections such as tuberculosis minimal contact with the suspect and SGOT and SGPT increased revenue to the risk of developing hepatitis in less compliant caregivers on the use of APD.

Abstract

Background: The infant mortality rate in Indonesia is still relatively high at 15 per 1000 live births. Cause of Infant death can occur due to intrapartum complications, one of which is a respiratory system disorder in the form of Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS). The nesting and prone positions intervention can be made to optimize the oxygenation status of babies with RDS. However, it is necessary to see the effectiveness of both positions in increasing oxygen saturation. Objective: This study aims to determine differences in oxygen saturation in infants with RDS who are given nesting and pronation. Methods: This is a quasi-experimental with a two-group pretest-posttest design. The total sample of 36 respondents was divided into the nesting and pronation group positions with the consecutive sampling technique. Oxygen saturation levels were measured using a pulse oximeter before and after the intervention for 15 minutes in one day. The analytical test is a paired t-test and an independent t-test.Results: The statistical test results for the pretest-posttest difference in oxygen saturation (p<0.05) in the pronation group increased by 3.6% compared to the nesting group by 0.3%, which means that the prone position is better at increasing oxygen saturation. Conclusion: Pronation is more effective in increasing oxygen saturation than nesting in infants with RDS. So, pronation can be used as a nursing intervention in infants with RDS.

Abstract

Background: Wound care is one of the techniques that nurses must master. The main principle in wound care management is infection control because infection inhibits the wound healing process, causing morbidity and mortality rates to increase. In carrying out wound care, nurses need to maintain the safety of patients and themselves with applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Nurse compliance in implementing standard operating procedures is one measure of the success of wound care services. Objective: To know the relationship between the level of knowledge and compliance in the implementation of wound care according to SOP. Methods: The study was a correlational design and was conducted at RSUD K.R.M.T Wongsonegoro Semarang. The samples were 51 subjects collected by purposive sampling technique for surgical ward nurses. The data were analyzed by Spearman rank. Results: The results state that there is a relationship between the level of knowledge and the compliance of wound care SOP (p=0.000), gender and the compliance of wound care SOP (p=0.000), age and the compliance of wound care SOP (p=0.000), education and the compliance of wound care SOP (p=0.000), working length and the compliance of wound care SOP (p=0.000), and training and the compliance of wound care SOP (p=0.000). Conclusion: There is a relationship between the knowledge and characteristics of nurses (gender, age, level of education, length of work, and training) and compliance with the implementation of wound care according to SOPs.

Abstract

Background: Moringa oleifera leaves are nutrient-rich plant materials containing minerals and bioactive compounds with potential food and health applications. Drying temperature may affect their composition through moisture reduction and concentration effects. However, evidence comparing moderate drying temperatures (30°C and 50°C) and their impact on tannin and mineral content remains limited. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of drying at 30°C and 50°C on tannin and selected mineral concentrations in moringa leaves. Methods: A quantitative comparative laboratory experimental study was conducted using non-human plant samples. Fresh moringa leaves were dried at 30°C and 50°C under controlled conditions, with each treatment performed in triplicate. Tannin content was determined using UV–Visible spectrophotometry with calibration-based quantification, while mineral concentrations of calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), potassium (K), sodium (Na), and iron (Fe) were measured using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS) or ICP-OES. Inferential statistical analyses were conducted following assumption checks to compare measured concentrations between treatments. Results: Drying at 50°C produced consistently higher measured concentrations of tannins and minerals compared with drying at 30°C, indicating a coherent temperature-associated pattern across all analyzed parameters. Iron exhibited the largest numerical difference between treatments. These findings suggest that drying temperature influenced the measured chemical composition of moringa leaf powder, most likely through enhanced moisture reduction and concentration-related analytical effects. Conclusion: Moderate drying temperature (50°C) increased measured tannin and mineral concentrations relative to 30°C under laboratory conditions. However, these differences should be interpreted cautiously, as they likely reflect concentration effects rather than true nutrient retention or improved nutritional efficacy. Further studies incorporating moisture-normalized analysis, bioavailability assessment, and functional evaluation are required before translating these findings into clinical or public health recommendations
