Abstract

Library promotion is important, especially during a pandemic like this. This study aims to determine the use of Instagram as a means of promotional activities carried out by the Depok City Public Library manager during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques are collected through interviews, observations, and literature studies (documentation). The results showed that the strategy carried out by the Depok City Public Library through Instagram social media was to embrace the reading garden community around Depok City, upload content in the form of events and activities carried out by the Depok City Public Library, as well as cooperation with schools in Depok City. To improve the quality of promotion through Instagram, it is necessary to support the leadership on various kinds of existing problems, including the first, namely the policy on the certainty of the use of language (formal / non-formal). The second is the policy toward the procurement of experts in the field of graphic design. Furthermore, the third is the formulation of regulations to guide the implementation of all activities related to promotion using Instagram

Abstract

Abstract : Drugs abuse occurs based on the awareness of the perpetrator. Understanding of narcotics, legal norms, and even knowledge about oneself is the cause of narcotics abuse. Library materials can be a means in the rehabilitation process for narcotics prisoners in Correctional Institutions. This study employs descriptive method with qualitative approach, the main objective of this study is to find out   information needs of narcotics inmates at Tangerang Class I Penitentiary. As for the data collection technique, the researcher uses observations, interviews with seven informants, and documentation in order to obtain the data. The results shows that reason of drugs abuse is caused by three factors, i.e. personality factors, educational factors, and spanning population factors. Narcotic inmates need information with subjek fiction, religious, and general. Currently, the procurement of library materials in library is obtained only through grants from the National Library and the Regional Library of Tangerang City. The results of this study can be used as reference for conducting library books and library activities in the Library of Tangerang Class I Penitentiary in Tangerang.Keywords: Information Needs; Narcotics inmates; Social rehabilitation; Tangerang Class I PenitentiaryAbstrak : Penyalahgunaan narkotika terjadi berdasarkan kesadaran pelaku. Pemahaman mengenai narkotika, norma hukum, bahkan pengetahuan mengenai diri sendiri menjadi penyebab penyalahgunaan narkotika. Bahan pustaka dapat menjadi sarana dalam proses rehabilitasi narapidana narkotika di Lembaga Permasyarakatan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang bertujuan mengetahui jenis kebutuhan informasi narapidana narkotika di Lembaga Permasyarakatan. Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah observasi, wawancara dengan tujuh informan, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penyebab penyalahgunaan narkotika terdiri dari tiga faktor, yaitu kepribadian, pendidikan, dan populasi yang rentan. Narapidana narkotika membutuhkan informasi dengan subjek fiksi, agama, dan umum. Saat ini pengadaan bahan pustaka hanya melalui hibah dari Perpustakaan Nasional dan Perpustakaan Daerah Kota Tangerang dan belum menyesuaikan dengan kebutuhan pemustaka. Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai bahan referensi dalam kegiatan pengadaan bahan pustaka dan kegiatan perpustakaan di Perpustakaan Lembaga Permasyarakatan Kelas I Tangerang.

Abstract

Background: One activity that students usually do before the end of the semester is to participate in KKN (Real Work Lecture). In 2020 and 2021 UIN Jakarta conducted a KKN-DR (Real Work Lecture from Home) activity, which was a from adoption of KKN during the Covid-19 pandemic. The pandemic situation has made almost all human activities take place online, which of course requires the ability to access and understand good information.Objective: The purpose of this research is to determine whether there is a significant influence of the ability to access and understand information on self-efficacy in preventing the spread of Covid-19.Methods: This research is associative quantitative research using multiple linear regression analysis.Results: The ability to access and understand information by UIN Jakarta KKN-DR participants did not have a significant effect on self-efficacy in preventing the spread of Covid-19. Simultaneously, the ability to access and understand information only contributed 0.9%, while 99.1% of self-efficacy was influenced by other factors, such as social support, motivation, availability of infrastructure, and economic conditions.Conclusion: Although the level of health information literacy of KKN-DR participants is relatively high, it is not enough to influence self-efficacy in preventing the spread of Covid-19. External factors, such as social support and public awareness are more dominant in the formation of self-efficacy. Implications, the importance of health socialization and education programs that involve various parties, including families and local communities, to increase community self-efficacy in preventing the spread of Covid-19. KKN-DR participants are expected to be able to play an active role in promoting health information literacy effectively to the community

Abstract

As a pioneer of university museums among state Islamic universities in Indonesia, the UIN Malang and UIN Banda Aceh museums play a vital role as role models for other UINs in managing and empowering university museums as important units in higher education institutions. The purpose of this study is to discuss the UIN Malang and Banda Aceh museums in playing a role as preservation institutions of cultural heritage and a learning laboratory in organizing learning activities for academics and the community outside the campus. By using a qualitative approach and case study method, data collection techniques are observation, in-depth interviews with museum managers and academics. Data analysis is carried out by reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The findings of the study show that the academics and the community engagement is not as an object in preserving the cultural heritage of Islam and Indonesia. Academics, community leaders and community groups jointly play an active role in carrying out conservation activities. The same thing is also done by museum managers by involving academics and the community to discuss the implementation of educational activities that are needed by themselves such as exhibitions, training, workshops, and seminars. This study confirms the importance of university museums and can form a creative and innovative academic culture among academicians and community.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out about the role of the library in increasing reading interest for blind people. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection through primary data obtained by in-depth interviews and observation, while secondary data obtained from documentation. Data validity techniques used were source triangulation, technique triangulation, and time triangulation. Determination of informants using purposive sampling method. The results showed that the role of librarians in increasing reading interest is as educators, managers, administrators, and supervisors. The role of librarians as educators is to provide a source of learning and entertainment references, narrate books, carry out User Education. The role of librarians as managers and administrators is to provide comfortable rooms, collect and manage accessible collections, provide reading support facilities, provide accessibility collection request services, prepare activity plans and annual budgets. While the role of librarians as supervisors is to collaborate with internal and external parties. In its role there are still obstacles faced by the library in order to increase interest in reading for blind people.

Abstract

Perpustakaan Nasional RI sebagai perpustakaan pembina segala jenis perpustakaan, dituntut untuk memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi sebagai sarana untuk penyediaan sumber belajar sepanjang hayat dan berperan penting dalam mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa. Inovasi yang dilakukan Perpustakaan Nasional RI Salah satunya adalah merilis aplikasi Bintang Pusnas Edu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengalaman mahasiswa pengguna aplikasi BintangPusnas Edu menggunakan metode User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ). Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa yang menggunakan aplikasi BintangPusnas Edu sebanyak 1126 orang dan diambil sampel sebanyak 92 Orang. Teknik Pengumpulan data dengan menyebarkan kuesioner menggunakan Google Form. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa enam skala yaitu Attractiveness (Daya Tarik), Perspicuity (Kejelasan), Efficiency (Efisiensi), Dependability (Ketepatan), Stimulation (Stimulasi), dan Novelty (Kebaruan)memiliki nilai di atas rata rata (Above Average) karena memiliki nila rata rata > 0,8. Attractiveness (Daya Tarik) memiliki nilai rata rata sebesar 1,26. Perspicuity (Kejelasan) memiliki nilai rata rata sebesar 1,47. Efficiency (Efisiensi) memiliki nilai rata rata sebesar 1,05. Dependability (Ketepatan) memiliki nilai rata rata sebesar 1,09. Stimulation (Stimulasi) memiliki nilai rata rata 1,27. Novelty (Kebaruan) memiliki nilai rata rata 0,87. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa aplikasi ini mudah digunakan, menarik, dan efisien, namun masih memerlukan inovasi lebih lanjut agar lebih unik dan menonjol. Implikasinya, Perpustakaan Nasional RI perlu terus mengembangkan aplikasi ini dengan menambahkan fitur interaktif, meningkatkan strategi promosi untuk memperluas adopsi di kalangan mahasiswa, serta mengintegrasikan umpan balik pengguna dalam pengembangan selanjutnya agar aplikasi ini semakin relevan dalam mendukung pembelajaran sepanjang hayat di Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya peran media sosial, khususnya fitur Reels Instagram @alwijo, dalam membentuk budaya baca buku di kalangan Generasi Z (usia 16-30 tahun). Generasi ini dikenal dengan teknologi digital dan sering terpapar konten media sosial. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa efektif penggunaan fitur Reels dalam mendorong budaya baca. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner online. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 100 responden dipilih dari populasi 88.500 pengikut akun @alwijo menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji validitas, reliabilitas, regresi linear sederhana, uji-t, koefisien korelasi, dan determinasi. Hasil uji regresi menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi 0,000 (<0,05), menandakan adanya pengaruh signifikan antara Reels dan budaya baca. Nilai koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,273 menunjukkan bahwa 27,3% variasi budaya baca dipengaruhi oleh penggunaan Reels, sementara 72,7% dipengaruhi faktor lain. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa fitur Reels Instagram memiliki kontribusi terhadap peningkatan budaya baca Generasi Z.
