Abstract

Background: An increase in the volume of breast milk and baby weight is the hope of every mother during breastfeeding. The consistency and quality of breastfeeding is determined by a mother. Moringa leaves, which is a typical plant in Indonesia, have many benefits, especially to increase milk production and nutrition for infants and children in the growth process. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of morinaga leaves in increasing the volume of breast milk and birth weigh of babies. Method:The design of this study was quasy eksperimental studies with purposive sampling with inclusion criteria. The sample in this study were all breastfeeding mothers on the first postpartum day as many as 30 people. In this study there were two groups, namely the control group and the intervention group. The instruments in this study were Moringa leaves, measuring cups, electric breast pumps, and baby scales and observation sheets. Data analysis used is paired and unpaired t-test. Result:The results showed that there was a difference between before and after the administration of Moringa leaves in the intervention group of 38.95 ml, while in the control group it was 16.1 ml. The baby's weight gain in the intervention group was 585 grams. Statistical results showed that giving Moringa leaves was effective on breast milk volume and infant weight with a significance value of p = 0.00 while in the control group there was a difference in the increase in breast milk volume with p = 0.000 but there was no significant difference in the baby weight variable with a value of p = 0.651. Conclusion: Moringa leaves infusion can be used as an alternative therapy to increase the volume of breast milk and baby weight in the breastfeeding process. Specialized health workers for midwives can assist mothers in educating postpartum mothers in consuming steeped Moringa leaves to increase breast milk and baby weight and support the success of exclusive breastfeeding

Abstract

Imunisasi merupakan salah satu upaya menurunkan angka kematian bayi dan balita secara efektif dan menjadi dasar utama pelayanan kesehatan preventif dan mengurangi penyebaran infeksi. Di masa pandemi Covid-19 ini, imunisasi tetap harus diupayakan terlaksana lengkap dan sesuai jadwal untuk melindungi anak dari PD3I. Berbagai wilayah Indonesia cakupan imunisasi rutin seperti campak, rubella, dan difteri semakin menurun sejak Maret 2020. Pada bulan Mei 2020 dilaporkan cakupan imunisasi difteri pertusis, dan tetanus (DPT3) berkurang > 35% dibandingkan di tahun 2019. Hal ini disebabkan tingginya kecemasan ibu takut membawa bayi balitanya ke posyandu, merasa kegiatan posyandu belum aman dilakukan di masa pandemi Covid-19. Survey awal didapati mayoritas responden memiliki tingkat kecemasan yang tinggi dan mayoritas responden berpengetahuan rendah tentang upaya pencegahan penyebaran imunisasi pada saat imunisasi di masa pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifitasan pendidikan kesehatan terhadap perilaku ibu dan cakupan imunisasi dalam pemberian imunisasi pada masa pandemi Covid-19 di wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Tanjung Morawa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Ada pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan dalam meningkatkan cakupan imunisasi dalam pandemik COVID-19 Di Wilayah Kerja Wilayah Puskesmas Tanjung Morawa (p-value < 0.05).

Abstract

Labor pain was a problem that has not received special attention, even though the goal of intrapartum care itself was to reduce pain during labor. It was not uncommon to find that every mother giving birth were very worried about the labor process that would be passed, this can trigger the perception of maternal pain. In addition, there were also mothers who were afraid and couldn’t stand the pain of going through the labor process or opening the birth canal because they feel severe pain during the first stage of labor, this sometimes makes mothers think short and choose the Sectio Cesaria action as one of the best solutions, whereas delivery by Caesarean section has many risks and the postpartum healing process takes longer than those of a normal delivery. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it is found that the reduction of labor pain could be done by using effleurage massage. This technique was quite simple and easy to do as a pain relief for mothers during the active phase of labor. This massage was quite easy to do by health professionals such as midwives, and could also be applied by families or mothers who were in labor by giving gentle, long and continuous strokes. Nurses and midwives must have the ability to manage labor pain management for mothers with the delivery process.The aimed of this activities was to increased nurse and midwife’s knowledge in reduce the labour pain intensity.

Abstract

Pre menopause is a physiological condition characterized by irregular menstruation. Symptoms that often arise include hot flushes, night sweats, restlessness, fatigue, pain during intercourse. Based on recent research that non-pharmacological treatment of pre-menopausal complaints can be done with soy milk. Health promotion activities through the provision of soy milk can be used as an alternative to prevent and treat cases of pre-menopausal symptoms. The purpose of this community service is to improve the quality of life of women who enter menopause through efforts to prevent and treat symptoms that arise through non-pharmacological efforts. Soy milk is given every day in the morning for 1 week regularly. The implementation of this community service lasted for 8 days in the Bandar Khalipah Health Center Work Area, Percut Sei Tuan Deli Serdang District. This activity was initiated through a Rapid Test examination then followed by measuring the complaints of pre-menopausal symptoms felt by respondents using the MRS questionnaire, then continued with giving soy milk for 1 hour. weeks. On day 8, all respondents were again measured for premenopausal symptoms using the MRS questionnaire. The results of measuring premenopausal symptoms after giving soy milk for 1 week showed that there was a decrease in complaints of menopausal symptoms felt by respondents after consuming soy milk for 1 week on a regular basis by 66.7% who experienced mild complaints and 33.3% experienced moderate complaints. Giving soy milk can be useful in overcoming premenopausal symptoms.
