Abstract

AbstractThe Effect of Self-Assessment and goal Motivation through Writing Competency in English. The purpose of this study is proving application of self-assessment in terms of student achievement motivation to give influence to the competence of writing in English students. This research was an experimental research using 2 x 2 proportional conception. Forced population of 160 students majoring in communication studies, Faculty of Social and Politics Studies, University Undiknas academic year 2016/2017. By using Cluster Random Sampling method, 4 classes were selected as sample and divided into two groups, namely experimental group and control group. The data of this study were collected through questionnaires and tests, which were analyzed using the Two Path Anova and Tukey test statistics. The results showed, firstly, the influence of self- assessment on student writing skill, ie students who assess by using self-assessment have higher writing skills than those who use using conventional assessment. Secondly, there was a significant interaction effect between self-assessment and achievement motivation on writing skill in English.Keywords: self-assessment, achievement motivation, english writing competency

Abstract

This study entitled Improving Students’ Reading Comprehension in Narrative Text by using Anticipation Guides for Students of Communication Study Program of Unidknas University year 2017/2018. This study uses to analyze the four major skills to be mastered by the learners, namely listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The standard competency is the general competency that should be mastered by the school graduates. The basic competency is the minimum competency that should be mastered by the students in learning a certain subject. One standard competency consists of several basic competencies. To know whether the students have achieved the basic competency, the teacher needs to refer to some indicator. One basic competency can be developed into some indicators. The subject of this study is the 40 students of Communication Study Program in Undiknas University in academic year 2017/2018. The research design of this study was action research based on Kemmis and Mc Taggart (1988) design. Richards and Plat & Plat (1999) as cited by Adnyani (2001) defined action research as a teacher initiated classroom research that seeks to increase the teacher’s understanding of classroom teaching and learning and to bring about improvements in classroom practices. The result of this study shows that there were two types of data obtained during the research namely, quantitative and qualitative data. The quantitative data was shown from the score obtained by the students in the pretest; post test I and post test II. Those data were shown in the form of tables and diagram and they were interpreted descriptively. The qualitative data were obtained from both the analysis of the diary in every session of the two cycles and also from the questionnaire which was applied to the students.Keywords: Reading Comprehension, Narrative text, Communication Study Program

Abstract

This study aimed at analyzing whether or not there was a significant difference in the students’ reading competency taught through SERT and Conventional Reading Technique. The population of this study was the students of management program in Undiknas University. This study uses the null hypothesis, so there is no significant difference between the two groups of students taught through the SERT and Conventional Reading Techniques. To obtain research objectives, Post-Test Only Control Group Design is applied as a research design. Both classes are randomly selected as samples. Data obtained from the post-test were analyzed using Descriptive and Inferential Statistics Analysis. In the descriptive analysis, it was found that the average score of the experimental group was 8.19 while the mean score of the control group was 7.26, which means that the experimental group performed better than the control group. In the inferential statistical analysis, the difference in students taught through the SERT and Conventional Reading Techniques proved significant in the 5 percent (0.5) alpha significance level in which the observed t value (5.758) was higher than the critical value t (1.96); thus the null hypothesis is rejected. Based on the findings, it is concluded that H0 (Null Hypothesis) stating that the SERT (Reading Engineering Self-Explanation) = Conventional Reading Technique is rejected and Ha (Alternative Hypothesis) stating that the SERT (Self-Explanatory Reading Technique)? Conventional Reading Techniques are accepted, in which students with SERT treatment are better than Conventional Reading Techniques.

Abstract

The effect of non-financial reward and punsihment on job loyalty through job satisfaction. The objectives of this research is to study the effect of non-financial reward, punishment, and job satisfaction on job loyalty, this research was conducted at Atta Mesari Resort and Spa. The data collection technique used in this research was questionnaire, the questionnaire used in this research had been tested and is considered valid and reliable. in order to measure the effect of non-financial reward, punishment, and job satisfaction and the effect on job loyalty this research used the multiple regression analysis technique with the help of SPSS 22 statistic program. The regression formula found in this research was Y=0.941 +0.221x1 +0.305x2 +0.522x3. The analysis result Showed that non-financial reward and punishment did not gave a significant effect on job loyalty through job satisfaction this indicates that non-financial reward and punishment can affect job loyalty positively but not significantly, directly non-financial reward and punishment gave a positive and significant effect on job loyalty by 48.1% and non-financial reward and punishment affect job satisfaction by 46% all of this indicates that the better the non-financial reward and punishment strategy implied in an organization the higher employee’s job satisfaction and loyalty will be.Keywords: non-financial reward, punishment, job satisfaction, job loyalty

Abstract

The effect of Cross Functional Training and the Work Environment towards  Work Quality in the Middle of the Covid-19 Pandemic Situation. This study aims to determine the effect of cross functional training and work environment partially and simultaneously on work quality. The location of this research is, CJ Logistics. The population uses all employees, CJ Logistics and a sample of 30 respondents. The data analysis technique used validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination test, F test and t test. From the research results, the results obtained: (1) cross functional training has a significant positive effect on work quality, where the t value is 3.515 and a significance value is 0.002 <0.05. (2) the work environment has a significant positive effect on work quality, where the t-count value is 3.541 and a significance value is 0.002 <0.05. (3) Simultaneous cross functional training and work environment have a significant effect on work quality, where the significance value is 0.000 <0.05. The magnitude of the influence of the independent variables on work quality is 58.2%. Suggestions that can be given by researchers are that Cj Logistics is expected to routinely provide cross-functional training, make adequate air circulation, keep the workplace clean, provide a sense of security, and create task structures that are in accordance with employee abilities and build good cooperation patterns. Abstract

Technology is changing very fast at this time. All things are affected, one of them which is the economy. There are many digital payment instruments that can be found and used in Indonesia. The Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) is a standard issued by Bank Indonesia to make transactions more efficient, financial inclusion in Indonesia faster, promote UMKM, and ultimately encourage economic growth. After collecting data through surveys, the authors designed socialization activities regarding QRIS so that the public would have a more in-depth understanding of how it is used for daily transactions. The results of this socialization activity will help the local community to make transactions easier and participate in improving the Indonesian economy in the future.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of Digital Marketing and Lifestyle on the decision of users of Mobile Learning (Ruang Guru) in industry 4.0. It was conducted in quantitative research design in which the data source was secondary data in the form of Ruang Guru user data. The data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed by multiple linear regression with classic assumptions, namely Normality Test, Multicollinearity Test, Heteroskedasticity Test. Capital feasibility test was the coefficient of determination, F Test and t Test. Based on the result of the classic assumption test, it showed that Digital Marketing and Lifestyle had a positive and significant effect on the dependent variable of Mobile Learning user decision in Ruang Guru. By using a multiple regression analysis system, the research showed that Digital Marketing and Lifestyle partially influenced the decision of Mobile Learning users with the value of Digital Marketing variable ttest 11,973 > ttable 1,671 and ttest Lifestyle tcount 5,105 > ttable1,671. The result indicated the Digital Marketing and Lifestyle variables simultaneously had a positive effect on the decision of Mobile Learning users in the amount of 81,2% and 18,8% explained by other variables outside the research.

Abstract

Perkembangan usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM) ini banyak dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan dari seorang wirausahawan yang menekuni usahanya dalam bidang apapun. Keberhasilan usaha merupakan suatu tujuan bagi pengusaha sebagai capaian dari usaha mereka. Penelitian ini berfokus pada kewirausahaan yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh atau dominasi Keterampilan Wirausaha dan Inovasi Produk terhadap Keberhasilan Usaha pada UMKM Perak Celuk. Fokus penelitian ini antara lain, untuk mengetahui pengaruh keterampilan wirausaha terhadap keberhasilan usaha, pengaruh inovasi produk terhadap keberhasilan usaha, pengaruh keterampilan wirausaha dan inovasi produk terhadap keberhasilan usaha. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh UMKM Perak di Kab. Gianyar, dan sampel sebanyak 89 pengerajin perak di Desa Celuk dengan menggunakan metode purposive random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode survei dengan menyebar kuesioner. Dengan adanya penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menambah serta memperluas wawasan pembaca mengenai pengaruh keterampilan kewirausahaan dan inovasi produk terhadap keberhasilan usaha khususnya UMKM Perak di Desa Celuk. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa keberhasilan usaha serta penggabungan keberhasilan wirausaha dan inovasi produk berpengaruh positif terhadap keberhasilan usaha. Sedangkan inovasi produk tidak berpengaruh positif terhadap keberhasilan usaha.

Abstract

This research examines the effect of emotional and psychological factors and their implications for fear of missing out (FOMO) on the online music platform. The object of this study is Spotify. The population in this study was respondents in Indonesia. The purposive sampling technique was used, where the sample criteria used consisted of Spotify users who have seen the Spotify Wrapped campaign at least once on social media. The SEM-AMOS is use to analyzed questionnaire data of 150 respondents. It was found that the varying psychological needs relatedness and unfulfilled psychological needs for self will positively affect FOMO. The result also shows that anticipated elation and anticipated envy from others have a positive effect on FOMO. It was also found that comforting rationalizations negatively influence FOMO and FOMO positively and significantly affect purchase intention. This study finds that comforting rationalization explains concerns about alternatives and offers behavioural mitigation that assist individuals to make their choices and reduce their FOMO.

Abstract

The study aimed at investigating the level of some affective factors which influenced the English for Management Learning Achievement; and uncovering how, psychologically, those factors were felt by the students. The study had been carried out in three steps; first, theoretical and empirical study on affective factors yielded in six factors; second, data collection on those factors through questionnaires, and third, focused group discussion (FGD). The study applied mixed methods of data collection and analysis. Quantitative method using t test was applied to determine the level of determination of the six affective factors upon above average and low average students, respectively. Qualitative method was applied through FGD and descriptive analysis. The results of the análisis show that the level of anxiety and learned helplessness of the above average students is lower than of the below average ones; while the level of self efficacy, locus of control, interest, dan integrativeness of the above average students is higher than of the below average ones. For the above average students, low level of anxiety and learned helplessness supports learning, and high level of self-efficacy, locus of control, interest, dan integrativeness is a bid modality for their success. The below average students, however, tend to be stucked by high level of anxiety and learned helplessness which hinders their learning.
