Abstract

Islam presents itself as a philanthropic-faced religion, by realizing social security for the community to achieve a noble life. With the current development, it is important to bring up various challenges related to waqf law in Islam, specifically endowments, non-Muslims, and endowments of money. This article provides an explanation of how non-Muslim endowments and money waqf in Islam. According to Wahbah Zuhaili, Waqf from non-Muslims is permitted. Like in the activities of building mosques, schools and other facilities, both money, building materials and energy used for the construction. Donations or assistance are permitted, with conditions not binding and will not cause danger or slander in the future, both for Muslims and for supported institutions. According to Wahbah Zuhaili, waqf money is permissible. The Hanafi school that allows money waqf. For the reason of Istihsan bi al-Arabi, because many people have done it. In this regard, Wahbah Zuhaili states, in al-Fiqh al-Islamiy wa ill Adillatuhu, what is meant is generally as follows, "Mutaqodimiin of the Hanafi School allows waqf money and dinars".

Abstract

Covid-19 has a significant impact on the economy, including the Islamic financial industry in Indonesia. So, research on the performance of Islamic banks, including the performance of Islamic banks in Indonesia is very interesting to study. This study aims to determine the level of performance of BPRS in Indonesia during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2019-2021, based on OJK Circular Letter; SEOJK number 28/SEOJK.03/2019. This study uses qualitative descriptive methodology. The results of the study show that the average CAR ratio of BPRS in 2019-2021 is 23.46 percent, which indicates that BPRS is very healthy. The average NPF ratio of BPRS in 2019-2021 is 7.08 percent, which indicates that BPRS is healthy. And the average ROA ratio of BPRS in 2019-2021 is 2.11 percent, which indicates that BPRS is very healthy. Based on the above research results, the performance of BPRS in Indonesia during the Covid-19 pandemic was exceptional. This means that BPRS in Indonesia can continue to operate intact even under sluggish economic conditions. This shows that the performance of BPRS in Indonesia during the Covid-19 pandemic is in the healthy and stable category. This emphasizes that Islamic banks are resilient in the face of an economic crisis. Therefore, it is expected that bank management should always improve the performance of BPRS by paying attention to the capital aspect, asset quality aspect, income aspect, and liquidity aspect.

Abstract

The development of an increasingly advanced industry has an impact on the development of transactions in an increasingly complex economy so that many transaction activities that require ijtihad to find solutions to problems that may arise. The hope is that the transaction can run smoothly and in accordance with Islamic law. This study aims to discuss matters relating to how ‘urf becomes the methods and sources of Islamic law in economic activities using a qualitative research methodology with a library research approach. The results showed that 'urf' is a thing that is known and has become a habit of the community, both in the form of words or deeds. So ‘urf can be used as a method and legal basis for economic transaction activities. Some examples of the application of ‘urf in Islamic economic transactions are buying and selling transactions in modern shopping centers and some online-based economic transactions without saying shighat (I sell-I buy). Although the practice of buying and selling is not like the shighat described in classical literature, but because it contains a meaning that indicates the willingness of both parties it can be concluded that the transaction law may be based on ‘urf. Perkembangan industri yang semakin maju berdampak pada perkembangan transaksi dalam ekonomi yang semakin komplek sehingga banyak kegiatan transaksi yang membutuhkan ijtihad untuk mencari solusi dari permasalan yang mungkin muncul. Harapanya agar transaksi tersebut dapat berjalan lancar dan sesuai dengan syariat Islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas hal-hal yang berkaitan dengan bagaimana ‘urf menjadi metode dan sumber hukum Islam dalam kegiatan perekonomian dengan menggunakan metodologi penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan kepustakaan (library research). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ‘urf ’merupakan suatu hal yang dikenal dan sudah menjadi kebiasaan masyarkat, baik berupa ucapan ataupun perbuatan. Sehingga ‘urf dapat dijadikan metode dan landasan hukum dalam kegiatan transaksi ekonomi. Beberapa contoh penerapan ‘urf dalam transaksi ekonomi Islam dalah transaksi jual beli di pusat perbelanjaan modern dan beberapa transaksi ekonomi yang berbasis online tanpa mengucapkan shighat (saya jual-saya beli). Walaupun praktik jual beli yang dilakukan tidak seperti shighat yang dijelaskan di literature klasik, namun karena mengandung arti yang menunjukkan kerelaan dari kedua belah pihak maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa hukum transaksi tersebut boleh berdasarkan ‘urf.

Abstract

Copyright infringement is the use or adverse action done by another party to the creator or copyright holder. This study aims to discuss critically how Islam views infringement in copyright. This research uses a qualitative research methodology using a descriptive-interpretative library research approach. The results showed that in the concept of religion and the State all forms of use of property rights of others without the permission of the official owner is a crime and sin. Such is the case in the case of copyright infringement. Copyright infringement in Islam is strictly prohibited because of the element of deception, is another form of theft, kills the creativity and the spirit of thinking of the inventors of the work, and violates the goal of Islamic law which is to damage the mind. Pelanggaran hak cipta merupakan pemanfaatan atau dan tindakan merugikan yang dilakukan pihak lain terhadap pencipta atau pemegang hak cipta. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas secara kritis bagaimana Islam memandang pelanggaran dalam hak cipta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kepustakaan (library research) deskriptif-interpretatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam konsep agama dan Negara segala bentuk penggunaan hak milik orang lain tanpa seizin pemilik resmi merupakan sebuah kejahatan dan dosa. Hal tersebut seperti yang terjadi dalam kasus pelanggaran hak cipta. Pelanggaran hak cipta dalam Islam sangat dilarang karena adanya unsur pembohongan, merupakan bentuk lain dari tindakan pencurian, membunuh kreatifitas dan semangat berfikir para penemu karya, dan melanggar tujuan syariat Islam yaitu merusak akal (hasil karya).

Abstract

Poverty is one of the macroeconomic problems that is a major concern, especially during the current pandemic. This study aims to describe the solutions offered by Islamic philanthropy (ZISWAF) to the problem of poverty caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methodology with content analysis techniques (content analysis) and library research. The results showed that ZISWAF is able to be a solution for the community to the problem of poverty that occurs. Efforts to alleviate poverty that can be done are to manage the funds that have been obtained from ZISWAF properly, with productive management. However, there must be some funds provided to the public that are consumptive in nature. If ZISWAF funds are managed properly and are productive, the hope is that these funds will not run out until whenever they are even able to develop so that their use will be bigger and wider. ZISWAF funds which are consumptive in nature will increase the demand and purchasing power of the community, so that the community will be more prosperous. Meanwhile, productive funds are able to increase investment activities and company productivity (business activities) so that it is able to increase the use of full labor (reduce unemployment) and ultimately improve community welfare so that poverty is reduced. This proves that Islamic philanthropy can be a solution to the problem of poverty. Kemiskinan merupakan salah satu masalah makroekonomi yang menjadi perhatian utama, khususnya pada masa pandemi saat ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memamparkan solusi yang ditawarkan oleh filantropi Islam (ZISWAF) atas masalah kemiskinan yang diakibatkan oleh pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik content analysis (analisis isi) dan riset kepustakaan (library research). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ZISWAF mampu menjadi solusi bagi masyarakat atas masalah kemiskinan yang terjadi. Upaya pengentasan kemiskinan yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan mengelola dana yang telah diperoleh dari ZISWAF dengan baik, dengan pengelolaan yang produktif. Walaupun demikian harus ada sebagain dana yang diberikan kepada masyarakat yang bersifat konsumtif. Dana ZISWAF jika dikelola dengan baik dan bersifat produktif harapanya adalah dana tersebut tidak akan habis sampai kapanpun bahkan mampu berkembang sehingga pemanfaatanya akan semakin besar dan luas. Dana ZISWAF yang bersifat konsumtif akan meningkatkan permintaan dan daya beli masyarkat, sehingga masyarakat semakin sejahtera. Sedangkan dana yang bersifat produktif mampu meningkatkan kegiatan investasi dan produktifitas perusahaan (kegiatan bisnis) sehingga hal tersebut mampu meningkatkan penggunaan tenaga kerja penuh (mengurangi pengangguran) dan pada akhirnya meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat sehingga kemiskinan semakin berkurang. hal tersebut membuktikan bahwa filantropi Islam mampu menjadi solusi atas masalah kemiskinan.

Abstract

Introduction/Main Objectives: The majority of employees in Islamic banks lack an educational background in Islamic finance, which can affect the implementation of Sharia principles. This study aims to analyze the influence of knowledge, practical work experience, and family environment on the interest of Sharia Banking students at IAIN Ponorogo in pursuing a career in Islamic banking.  Research Methods: The research employed a quantitative method using primary data collected directly from respondents. Data was gathered through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. Finding/Results: The results indicate that: (1) knowledge, practical work experience, and family environment simultaneously influence the interest of Sharia Banking students at IAIN Ponorogo in pursuing a career in Islamic banking; (2) practical work experience, when analyzed partially, does not have a significant effect on students' interest in a career in Islamic banking; (3) in contrast, knowledge and family environment have a significant impact on the career interest of Sharia Banking students at IAIN Ponorogo. Conclusion: The Sharia Banking Department at IAIN Ponorogo should enhance Sharia-based education, involve families in career activities, and optimize practical work to meet industry needs.

Abstract

Introduction: Banks, as financial intermediaries, have a strategic role in driving the economy. This research analyzes the influence of third-party funds and working capital financing of Sharia commercial banks on the Indonesian economy. Research Methods: The research method is quantitative by conducting multiple linear regression tests. The data type used is secondary data from 2015 to 2022, with a sample size of 13 Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia. This data was obtained from BI and OJK reports. Results: The research results show that; There is a significant influence between the Third Party Funds variable on Gross Domestic Product. There is a significant influence between the Working Capital Financing variable on the Gross Domestic Product. And together the variables Third Party Funds and Working Capital Financing have a significant influence on Gross Domestic Product. With a coefficient of determination value of 91.8 percent. Conclusion: This shows that Islamic banks have a real contribution to economic growth in Indonesia. So management and the government must improve bank performance so that the circulation of funds in banks runs smoothly, people's production activities increase, the use of labor is maximized, and ultimately the Indonesian economy improves.

Abstract

Abstract: Management, as a process of designing and maintaining a collaborative environment, is applied to address the popularity of livestock farming in Caluk Village, particularly duck farming. The goal is to establish an advanced and efficient farm, but the challenge lies in the community's limited knowledge and experience in barn design and waste management. Employing the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, the initiative optimizes existing assets and potentials. The outcome is the creation of an ideal duck farm that effectively manages waste. Training provided proves instrumental in enhancing the community's duck farming practices, leading to improved farmer well-being and a positive economic impact on the surrounding community.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Bank Indonesia in maintaining financial stability during the period of 2021 to 2023. This topic is essential considering the importance of financial stability as a foundation for sustainable economic growth amid increasing global uncertainties and domestic challenges, including the lingering impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, combining library research and case study approaches. Data were collected from secondary sources, including Bank Indonesia’s annual reports, macroeconomic indicators, and relevant scholarly literature. The results indicate that Bank Indonesia's interventions through monetary policy, macroprudential instruments, and oversight of the payment system significantly contributed to sustaining financial stability despite external shocks. The study concludes that Bank Indonesia’s strategic role was crucial in the economic recovery period. It also highlights the importance of strengthening collaboration between Bank Indonesia and other financial authorities to anticipate future risks. Adaptive and coordinated policies are deemed vital for enhancing national economic resilience.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the soundness level of Islamic Commercial Banks (BUS) in Indonesia using the Risk Based Bank Rating (RBBR) method or better known as the RGEC method, includes the Risk Profile, Earning and Capital BUS in Indonesia 2015-2020. This type of research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The results showed that, the average NPF BUS 2015-2020 ratio was 3.99%, indicating that BUS was in the healthy predicate. The smaller the NPF, the healthier the bank. The average ROA ratio of BUS 2015-2020 is 1.03%, indicating that BUS is in a fairly healthy predicate. The greater the ROA, the healthier the bank. And the average CAR 2015-2020 ratio of 18.73% indicates that BUS is in a very healthy predicate. The bigger the CAR, the healthier the bank. This fact shows that the performance of BUS in Indonesia needs to be improved so that the profit (ROA) is maximized.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kesehatan Bank Umum Syariah (BUS) di Indonesia dengan metode Risk Based Bank Rating (RBBR) atau yang lebih dikenal sebagai metode RGEC, mencakup Risk Profile, Earning dan Capital BUS di Indonesia 2015-2020. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan Kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, rata-rata rasio NPF BUS 2015-2020 sebesar 3,99 % menunjukkan bahwa BUS dalam predikat Sehat. Semakin kecil NPF maka bank semakin sehat. Rata-rata rasio ROA BUS 2015-2020 sebesar 1,03 % menunjukkan bahwa BUS dalam predikat cukup sehat. Semakin besar ROA maka bank semakin sehat. Dan rata-rata rasio CAR BUS 2015-2020 sebesar 18,73 % menunjukkan bahwa BUS dalam predikat sangat sehat. Semakin besar CAR maka bank semakin sehat. Fakta tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kinerja BUS di Indonesia perlu ditingkatkan agar keuntungan (ROA) yang diperoleh semakin maksimal.
