Abstract

Jenang is one of the special food from the Kudus City of Central Java Province. The process of making jenang through several stages, namely the process of material insertion, the process of mixing the material while cooked with the mix, the process of printing in a baking sheet and packaging process. In the process of this jenang packaging is done by workers who sit on a wooden chair with no foam pads and no back support. Sitting position, judging from the aspect of ergonomics sitting position is less comfortable. Therefore, it is necessary to design seats for ergonomic jenang packaging operators. The method used in designing this chair is by descriptive analysis, with the seat dimension approach to anthropometry of worker's body. Required data include anthropometric data of workers' packaging body dimensions and data obtained from existing research. Then the data is processed to be applied to the design. This design is a prototype that will be measured and applied to the packaging hood of the worker. The purpose of this research is applying ergonomic chair to jenang packaging worker, so it is expected to improve work position of jenang packaging worker and reduce discomfort that can cause fatigue. The result of the research shows that with the application of ergonomic chair design to the jenang packaging worker, there is improvement of work position on the jenang packaging worker and decrease the level of discomfort that happened to the neck, back, round, buttock and elbow of the jenang packaging worker.

Abstract

This study aims to identify barriers on sustainable supply chain management (SSCM) implementation for palm oil industries in Indonesia. Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) , one of Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) method is chosen in this study because of the simplicicty and most suitable for palm oil industries case. The outputs of this study, there are 29 barriers on sustainable supply chain management (SSCM) for palm oil industries in Indonesia, all of its breakdown from their own key performance indicator (KPI) of SSCM. Three biggest barriers are (1) less management commitment (0.99); (2) bad relationship with society around the company (0.873); (3) Less efficient on FFB (Fresh Fruit Bunch) Process (0.873). While three least barriers are (1) No take-back policies on CPO Trading (0.718); (2) Less discipline from employee using earplug (0.718); (3) Less careful from employee while operate machinery (0.718).

Abstract

Batik is a legacy of ancestors that has occurred in our daily lives. In the city of Kudus, there are also batik permits that highlight typical sacred motives, namely, temples, towers, Parijoto. The process of making batik requires a long time, making it possible to speed up the manufacturing time. One way to improve batik making is to use work facilities. Work facilities consisting of batik must meet ergonomic aspects. The method in this Research is to measure the anthropometric data of batik. The batik anthropometry data used are wide hip, high poplitea, long poplitea, shoulder height sitting and elbow height sitting. After the batik anthropometric data is obtained, then the data is tested for normal distribution, uniformity test and adequacy test. Then calculate the percentile value of the anthropometric data. Percentile value data used to determine the size of the ergonomic ergonomic chair to be designed. Productivity is obtained from the analysis before and after the ergonomics screwdriver. The results of this study have occurred ergonomic batik with a size of 30.62 cm for high chairs; 42.81 cm for wide seats; 43.46 for chair length; 50.96 for seat back height and 21.52 for elbow back height. While the results of the value of productivity after the ergonomics preparation of batik is obtained by 20%.

Abstract

Quality control needs to be done to face industrial competition. PT. Sukuntex is a textile industry that produces fabrics, one of which is polyester with 58% production from the total fabric production. PT. Sukuntex has a make to order fabric production system, the company carries out quality control by inspecting every fabric produced in the quality control division. In this study, an analysis of polyester fabric quality control using the six sigma method with the DMAI (Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve) steps to determine the DPMO value, the company's sigma level, the causes of defects, and improvements. The results of this study found 3 dominant defects based on the Pareto diagram, namely thin thickness, sparse, and dirty oil. In calculating the DPMO value, the result is 49,825.15 meters with the sigma value obtained is 3.15. The sigma value can increase with quality improvement. Therefore, the causes of defects were analyzed using a fishbone diagram which resulted in human, machine, method, and environmental factors. FMEA-AHP method for improvement priorities, where FMEA analyzes the ranking of the causes of defects, then prioritizes improvement based on weights with AHP. Improvement plan using the 5W+1H method at the improve stage.
