Abstract

Permasalahan sampah di masyarakat, khususnya di Kelurahan Sidoklumpuk, Sidoarjo, menjadi isu mendesak yang berdampak pada lingkungan dan kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas budidaya maggot Black Soldier Fly (BSF) sebagai solusi pengelolaan limbah organik rumah tangga dan peningkatan nilai ekonomi bagi masyarakat setempat. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini mengamati secara langsung penerapan budidaya maggot melalui kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) T oleh mahasiswa UPN Veteran Jawa Timur. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi lapangan dan wawancara dengan masyarakat yang terlibat dalam program sosialisasi dan pelatihan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan maggot sebagai pengolah limbah organik efektif mengurangi volume sampah hingga 60% dalam waktu tiga bulan, sekaligus menghasilkan kompos dan pakan ternak berkualitas tinggi. Partisipasi masyarakat dalam budidaya maggot juga meningkat, menunjukkan potensi ekonomi yang signifikan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa budidaya maggot BSF tidak hanya membantu dalam pengelolaan limbah organik secara berkelanjutan tetapi juga memberdayakan masyarakat melalui penciptaan lapangan pekerjaan dan peningkatan pendapatan. Temuan ini penting untuk mendorong adopsi luas budidaya maggot sebagai solusi lingkungan dan ekonomi di masyarakat perkotaan.

Abstract

Eco-Play is a creative learning activity designed for elementary school students to introduce the concept of environmental sustainability through the activity of coloring and recycling plastic bottles into plant pots. In this program, children are encouraged to explore their creativity by decorating used plastic bottles using paint and various eco-friendly materials. After coloring, the decorated plastic bottles are used as pots to plant small plants, such as flowers or vegetables, which can later be cared for by the children at home or school. This activity also has educational benefits, where children learn about the life cycle of plants and the importance of plants for the environment. By planting and caring for their plants, children will experience the satisfaction of their work and gain a better understanding of ecosystems. Eco Play not only hones creativity but also shapes children's character to be more environmentally conscious and encourages them to become agents of change in the future.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa penanganan komplain ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kepuasan dan kualitas layanan yang diberikan kepada masyarakat. Penanganan komplain yang baik membantu memperhatikan dan menyelesaikan masalah yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat. Selain itu, penanganan komplain yang transparan dan akuntabel dapat memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat tentang bagaimana menangani masalah yang timbul. Metode yang dilakukan adalah menyediakan nomor Whatsapp khusus pengajuan komplain dan menerapkan prosedur yang sudah berlaku

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Implementation of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) as an Instrument for Village Community Empowerment: An Empirical Study in Balongpanggang Village, Balongpanggang District, Gresik Regency. The southern area of Gresik still experiences development disparities that have resulted in suboptimal BUMDes management. However, BUMDes Jaya Abadi in Balongpanggang Village has shown relatively positive development and has received several awards, making it an interesting case for further analysis. This research employs a qualitative approach using data collection techniques such as observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the implementation of BUMDes Jaya Abadi has been carried out through the management of various village business units and the application of four development aspects as the basis of its activities. Nevertheless, the role of BUMDes in encouraging active community participation and strengthening local capacity has not been fully optimized. The main challenges include limited human resources, low public understanding of BUMDes programs, and the underutilization of digital technology in business governance. Therefore, strengthening communication, improving managerial capacity, implementing digital systems, and expanding community participation are necessary to achieve more effective and sustainable BUMDes implementation.
