Abstract

The role of parents in children's education is very influential on the emotional development of children, the character and attitudes of children, especially children with special needs who in their daily lives still need the role of other people to carry out their activities. Even so, it does not mean that children with special needs become children who are dependent on other people, but if in their daily lives they are educated patiently, repeatedly at least the child can become independent and can get used to their activities. The role of parents in children with special needs can be classified as parents who have roles as motivators, mentors, supervisors, good examples and provide facilities for children's needs and religious facilities. In this study using qualitative research methods by conducting interviews as data collection. After analyzing the data, the researcher can conclude that the role of parents in Islamic religious education has an important role for children by allowing children to go to school, escorting children and accompanying children patiently according to the different ability conditions experienced by children with special needs. Abstract

Every human being cannot choose whether he will be born in a perfect condition or not. Whether you are born perfect or not is God's decree. Every parent must be aware of this, so that they do not consider that their child being born as an individual with special needs is a disgrace and a disaster. They deserve education and teaching, because they too have been given the potential by God to understand their needs for survival. Regarding how to educate them is an interesting issue to research, so this research will discuss qualitatively related to teacher strategies in teaching PAI to children with special needs at SLB Yaketunis, Yogyakarta. The results of this research concluded that the teacher's strategy in learning Islamic Religious Education for children with special needs at Yaketunis SLB begins with consideration of several aspects, namely: 1) service to students which focuses on teacher behavior patterns in educational interactions at school; in aspects, and 2) aspects of implementing learning using demonstration and familiarization methods, especially in religious practice materials..

Abstract

This research aims to provide information on the educational service models used for children with special needs, such as the mentally retarded and autistic. The research method used in this research is a qualitative method and a descriptive approach. Then the data collection technique is through observation by directly observing classes containing ABK children, interviews with the school principal and special accompanying teachers, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out by reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that autistic and mentally retarded students have different learning outcomes and service models during the learning process are also different. Therefore, serving autistic and mentally retarded students requires special accompanying teachers so that the knowledge provided by educator can be more easily entered and understood.

Abstract

Children with special needs are those who have special differences in their types and characteristics, which differentiate them from children in general. They need special education and services to help develop their potential. Therefore, the author took the initiative to conduct observations and interviews at an inclusive school in order to obtain accurate information according to the situation in the field. The approach used involves literature searches and direct interviews to explore relevant topics. SLB A Yaketunis Yogyakarta is a school that provides special education programs for blind children. In the learning process, the focus is on the sense of hearing and changing the learning material into song lyrics to make it easier for students to understand the learning material.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the learning methods used by educators in teaching children with special needs who are blind at SLB Negeri 1 Kulon Progo. Blindness itself is a condition where a person has limited vision, therefore to obtain information they use the senses of hearing and touch. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method, in which the researcher collects information or sources using books, journals and other scientific works related to the topic raised. Then the researchers collected data by conducting interviews and direct observations on Monday 23 October 2023 by one of the teachers of blind children at SLB Negeri 1 Kulon Progo so that the data needed was more valid. The results of the discussion in this research are that there are various learning methods used by children with special needs who are blind at SLB Negeri 1 Kulon Progo, including the following; lecture, audio, practical and tactile (touch) methods. However, in implementing this learning method there are still various obstacles felt by the teachers at SLB Negeri 1 Kulon Progo.
