Abstract

This study aims to find out how the Implementation of Buddhist-Based Management in Tolerance of Religious Life in the Prajna Maitreya Sungai Raya Kubu Raya Temple's Congregation Data collection techniques with observation, interviews, documentation, and triangulation. Data analysis techniques with interactive models (Miles and Huberman, 1994: 12), through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. The validity of the data is carried out by validating concepts in the form of triangulation and member checks. From the results of the research that the application of Buddhist-based management is more about implementing self-management in good behavior, being polite, being able to yield and being patient in solving every problem to create a peaceful, harmonious and harmonious life so as to create a high sense of tolerance in religious life.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Budaya atau tradisi upacara keagamaan banyak dipengaruhi oleh budaya tempatan, salah satu kegiatan upacara adat Ulambana dipengaruhi oleh adat masyarakat Buddha Tionghoa sebagai bentuk persembahan (puja) kepada leluhur berbakti dan pelimpahan jasa (Pattidana). Tujuan: Untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi nilai-nilai ajaran Buddha dalam kegiatan upacara adat Ulambana dan mengetahui dampak kontribusi pada pengembangan agama Buddha Pekanbaru. Metode: Menggunakan purposeful sampling, sampling homogen, pada kegiatan yang sama. Analisis pertanyaan wawancara terstruktur kategori primer informan dari tiga aliran Buddha(Mahayana, Theravada, dan Tantrayana). Tidak terstruktur dengan confirming sampling untuk menguji kasus dan memverifikasi akurasi temuan di lapangan termasuk pengamatan, dan dokumentasi. Hasil: Menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pada nilai-nilai ajaran Buddha pada Upacara Adat Ulambana terlaksana dengan baik, terindikasi secara persentase tingkat pengamalan nilai yang sedang atau berimbang, dari butir indikator 12 nilai yang dijawab informan ternyata nilai pelimpahan jasa(pattidana) terkonfirmasi dilaksanakan semua aliran agama Buddha, sedangkan butir indikator lain hanya sebagai pendukun karena pelaksanaannya secara bersamaan belum optimal, sedangkan tradisi berkeluarga mengikuti upacara adat Ulambana teridentifikasi berkembangnya nilai budaya masyarakat Tionghoa yang seperti nilai kepercayaan, ketaatan, kejujuran, kepatuhan, kebaikan, dan loyalitas. Ini memberi dampak kontribusi positif pada perkembangan agama Buddha secara umum, karena umat telah mengimplementasikan nilai-nilai upacara tersebut secara total dan parsial dalam kehidupan nyata, di samping kerukunan harmonis internal tercapai. Kesimpulan: Implementasi nilai ajaran Buddha Dharma terlaksana dengan baik walaupun belum optimal pada kegiatan upacara adat Ulambana, di samping meningkatnya kerja sama harmonis intern antar umat, partisipasi masyarakat tempatan, berkolaborasi, dan sinergisitas, juga meningkatkan solidaritas sosial dan peduli umat kepada masyarakat lingkungan sekitarnya.

Abstract

Finding out how Puja Bakti is used to increase belief in Buddha Dharma through Buddhist education classes in class X at SMKS Kasih Maitreya-Selatpanjang is the aim of this action research project. The findings of the study using techniques for planning, carrying out, observing, and reflecting. The results of the learning and comprehension of devotional service demonstrate that it has been well implemented. The average student understanding increased from 77 in the pre-cycle to 83 in the first cycle and then to 88 in the second cycle until all students had completed (> 75 KKM) receiving Buddhist Education lessons. In percentage terms, the understanding increased by 9% in the first cycle and 19% in the second cycle to 100%. This demonstrates that pupils have a successful comprehension of and application of Buddhist education and Puja Bakti. Teachers of Buddhist education participate more actively in the monastery's Puja Bakti implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of Buddhist teachers and the implementation of strengthening character education at SMPS Kasih Maitreya Selatpanjang by using descriptive qualitative methods, data collection techniques with interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation. Character education is education that develops cultural values ​​and character in students so that it becomes the basis for them to think, behave, act in developing themselves as individuals, members of society, and citizens. The values ​​of strengthening character education that become dominant in this study include honest, disciplined, orderly, clean, creative, obedient, polite and caring, while the less dominant characters include respect, neatness. The results of the study show that first; The role of Buddhist teachers in strengthening character education at SMPS Kasih Maitreya Selatpanjang has been well implemented, as evidenced by the results of the percentage of questionnaires, observations, and interviews with principals and teachers of 84%. Second, the implementation of strengthening character education for students of SMPS Kasih Maitreya Selatpanjang has reached 53%, which the principal and teachers say has not been optimal in strengthening character in schools, so there needs to be improvements such as the habituation of school culture aspects of 5S (smiles, greetings, greetings, politeness, and kindness). polite), 3D (self-discipline, time discipline, and regulatory discipline), 3 Love (love heart, loving smile, and loving behavior), so that the character becomes a habit at school and outside of school.
