Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Representasi Feminisme Dalam Lirik Lagu Bertaut Karya Nadin Amizah. Teori yang peneliti gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Teori Semiotika dari Charles Sanders Peirce. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Penelitian ini menganalisis lirik lagu Bertaut karya Nadin Amizah menggunakan pendekatan semiotika Peirce, yang melibatkan elemen tanda, objek, dan interpretan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa lagu ini menawarkan pemahaman mendalam tentang pengalaman perempuan dalam menghadapi kompleksitas kehidupan. Melalui tanda-tanda yang muncul dalam lirik, lagu ini menggambarkan cinta dan hubungan yang saling mendukung, melampaui konsep romantisme, dan mencerminkan ikatan emosional yang mendalam. Objek dalam liriknya mengungkap realitas kehidupan perempuan, termasuk tekanan sosial, emosional, dan tantangan harapan yang bertentangan. Interpretasi atas lirik ini menekankan pentingnya solidaritas dan dukungan antarperempuan sebagai sumber kekuatan untuk bertahan dan berkembang di tengah kesulitan hidup. Melalui lirik yang penuh makna, Nadin Amizah menyampaikan pesan feminis yang kuat tentang keberanian kolektif dan pemberdayaan perempuan. Lagu Bertaut tidak hanya menawarkan keindahan secara estetika, tetapi juga memberikan refleksi sosial yang mendalam tentang pentingnya hubungan dan solidaritas perempuan dalam menghadapi kehidupan yang penuh tantangan.

Abstract

Television Republik Indonesia (TVRI) broadcasts aspects of public life and arts and culture in Palembang. Local cultural shows are a program that is very suitable for introducing local culture in the area by providing the latest information packaged in an interesting way so that people have a high level of interest to pay greater attention to maintaining their own culture so that it is not lost due to lack of caring. This research aims to find out TVRI South Sumatra's broadcasts about people's interests and to find out TVRI South Sumatra's shows about local cultural content. This research uses a quantitative type of research with a survey approach, namely looking for questionnaire results and observing descriptions of the influence of TVRI broadcasts on people's interest in local cultural content. This research variable consists of two variables, namely the independent variable (influence of TVRI Sumsel broadcasts) and the dependent variable (public interest in local cultural content). Data collection techniques were carried out using questionnaires, observation methods and documentation. The results of this study show that from the 50 respondents sampled, it can be seen that the influence of TVRI Sumsel broadcasts (Variable Meanwhile, the significance value = 0.006 with a significance of 5% or 0.05, meaning there is a significant influence between the two variables. The R Square value is 0.637 (64%), meaning it can be said that the two variables between variables X and Y have a strong relationship. Then, if you look at the t-test results of t = 9.172 > 2.407 and the significance is 0.000, it can be concluded that there is an influence of South Sumatra TVRI broadcasts on public interest in local cultural content. It is hoped that this research will serve as an evaluation and suggestion for television managers to pay more attention to balanced information so that viewers are more interested in watching shows on TVRI Sumsel. Apart from that, the public is also expected to be more selective in choosing shows to prioritize news content, they have to be smarter and catchier in taking in the messages broadcast on a television program.

Abstract

The relocation of the National Capital (IKN) from Jakarta to East Kalimantan has become a national strategic issue that has caused public debate. The online media CNN Indonesia is quite routine in reporting the relocation of the new national capital from various aspects, including economics, legislation, and socio-culture. Framing analysis is one of the journalistic communication strategies that aims to create the image, ideas, and style desired and expected by the media and companies. This study aims to determine the news framing in the issue of the Relocation of the National Capital in the online media CNN Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research type. Data collection techniques are carried out using survey techniques and document analysis techniques. The data analysis technique in this study uses the Zhongdang Pan and Kosicki Framing analysis technique, which has four structures, namely, syntax, script, thematic, and rhetorical. The results of this study indicate that there are significant differences in the news framing approach between the two media. CNN Indonesia often emphasizes a critical perspective and in-depth analysis of policy issues and social impacts, creating a more skeptical narrative of government projects, including the National Capital (IKN). They focus on the implications and controversies surrounding the development. Meanwhile, Kompas.com tends to be more informative and narrative, focusing on delivering factual information, history, and the meaning of the name of the new Capital City, providing a broader context. They avoid direct criticism, highlighting the reasons behind government decisions. This research is expected to be an evaluation and suggestion for CNN Indonesia and Kompas.com, that the principle of neutrality and objectivity is very crucial in news reporting. In addition, for the community who utilize the media, it is expected to further increase intelligence in understanding the news.

Abstract

The movie Bitch X Rich is a short Korean drama about the life of Cheongdam International High School students. The lives of these high school students become compartmentalized, only because of differences in economic and social status. The movie Bitch X Rich unwittingly turns out that there are also many negative things happening in the film. Thus there are several scenes that are quite disturbing and uncomfortable to watch such as power and verbal and non-verbal violence. The problem in this study is how the elements of power and violence contained in the movie Bitch X Rich according to Roland Barthes semiotics seen from denotation, connotation and myth. This research uses descriptive methods and uses a qualitative approach. The results revealed that in the movie Bitch X Rich there are scenes of power and verbal and non-verbal violence. Power is the ability to influence others to think and behave according to the will of the influencer. Verbal violence is a form of violence characterized by speech in this film, In the film Bitch X Rich, four findings of power representation were found. First, the depiction of acts of power from Seo Hee Soo who tried to eliminate traces of murder. Second, the act of power from Baek Je Na. Third, the act of power from Kang Na Yeon's mother who wants to destroy Kim Hye In's life. And finally, acts of power from the highest education project students who bully the equivalent education project students. Then, in the findings of physical violence, there were scenes of beating and murder committed by Yul Hee to Kim Hae In. In addition, there are also scenes of beatings and torture committed by Kim Hye In to Baek Je Na. While in non-physical violence, there are threats and accusations made by Kim Hye In to Baek Je Na. There were also physical and non-physical forms of violence committed by Kang Na Yeon's mother to Kim Hye In. Finally, there were acts of beating and torture committed by Si Eun to other students. In non-physical violence, threats, insults, and harassment committed by students to other students were found. This verbal violence can affect various aspects of life, such as academic performance and social relationships. Overall, the representation of power and violence in the film Bitch X Rich is dominated by physical violence shown through actions, conflicts, and character dialog. This is also in line with the theory of violence used in this study, that violence is used in entertainment to attract audiences.

Abstract

This study discusses the impact of digital television usage on the political participation of Generation Z in Campang Tiga Ulu Village, Cempaka Subdistrict, OKU Timur Regency, within the context of the 2024 General Election. Generation Z, as a group of young voters born and raised in the digital era, holds significant potential in shaping the direction of democracy. Digital television, as a result of the migration from analog broadcasting, is expected to serve as an effective medium for political information. This research employs a descriptive quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 94 respondents from Generation Z who are eligible to vote. Data analysis was conducted using the normality test, Spearman correlation test, and coefficient of determination test. The findings indicate that there is no significant relationship between the use of digital television and the political participation of Generation Z (r = -0.069; sig. = 0.512), with a contribution effect of 0.48%. These results suggest that digital television has not had a substantial influence on the political engagement of young people. Other factors such as social media, social environment, and political education are more likely to shape their political awareness. Therefore, more relevant and engaging political communication strategies are needed to encourage the active participation of young generations in democracy.

Abstract

The press plays an important role in disseminating information and carrying out its social control function. One form of journalism is investigative journalism, which involves searching, collecting, verifying, and thoroughly examining information to uncover facts that are not yet known to the public. This process is represented in the novel Kincir Waktu by Akmal Nasery Basral, which portrays journalists’ efforts to uncover facts related to the May 1998 Riots. This study aims to analyze the process of investigative journalism represented in Kincir Waktu. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using the Miles and Huberman interactive data analysis model. The analysis is based on Dandhy Dwi Laksono’s concept of investigative journalism. The findings show several stages, including team formation, initial research and observation, determining the angle and hypothesis, strategic planning, evidence gathering through material trails, people trails, and money trails, as well as collecting testimonies. Thus, the novel represents investigative journalism as a systematic process of uncovering facts for the public.
