Abstract

Program Kartu Tani merupakan salah satu program nasional di bidang pertanian yang bertujuan sebagai sarana dalam mengoptimalkan kebijakan pupuk bersubsidi bagi petani. Keberhasilan tujuan dari program kartu tani ini, salah satunya didukung oleh perilaku petani dalam menggunakan kartu tani. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) mendeskripsikan perilaku petani terhadap kartu tani di Kecamatan Undaan, Kabupaten Kudus, (2) mendeskripsikan efektivitas pelaksanaan program kartu tani di Kecamatan Undaan, Kabupaten Kudus, dan (3) menganalisis hubungan perilaku petani dengan efektivitas pelaksanaan program kartu tani di Kecamatan Undaan, Kabupaten Kudus. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei 2021 – Juni 2021 yang berlokasi di Kecamatan Undaan, Kabupaten Kudus. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei. Metode penentuan responden pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode quota sampling dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 120 petani. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan observasi. Data yang digunakan berupa data primer dan data sekunder. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis korelasi rank spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perilaku petani terhadap kartu tani termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Efektivitas pelaksanaan program kartu tani termasuk dalam kategori efektif. Terdapat hubungan yang kuat dan signifikan antara perilaku petani dengan efektivitas pelaksanaan program kartu tani, dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,613.

Abstract

The majority of youth today do not choose jobs as farmers because they are considered unprofitable for life. This study aims to: (1) analyze youth perceptions of the rice farming profession, (2) analyze the simultaneous or partial influence of income, capital, social environment, age and education factors on youth perceptions of the rice farming profession in Semarang City. implemented in the city of Semarang. The method of determining the sample using the cluster sampling method with a total sample of 125 people. The type of data used is primary and secondary data obtained by interview, observation, and documentation. The data analysis method used is descriptive analysis and multiple regression test. The results showed that this positive perception can be seen from the youth's perception of rice farmers with a positive view or in accordance with the youth's expectations of the rice farmers which can be seen in terms of income, capital, social environment, age and education. Pemuda agrees that rice farmers' income is adjusted to the area of land owned by farmers and farmers' income is fluctuating. The youth considered that to become a farmer it was not necessary to have private land because farmers could work on other people's land. Lack of capital can affect the income of rice farmers. Peers who are in the environment around the youth do not take lightly the rice farmer profession and the youth's parents do not support their children to become rice farmers. Youth considers that to become a rice farmer there is no certain age limit and youth is suitable to be a rice farmer. Youth during their education did not acquire knowledge about rice farmers. Youth considers that being a rice farmer requires knowledge, experience and skills..

Abstract

The number of students of the Bachelor Agribusiness Study Program who have done entrepreneurship is currently known to be only around 2%. Agribusiness bachelor student's decision to become entrepreneurs are affected by several factors, including motivation, family environment, and capital. This study aims to analyze the factors that affected the decision of agribusiness bachelor students to become entrepreneurs. The method used was a 96 respondents survey method. The datas were analyzed by binary logistic regression. The results of binary regression analysis show that the independent variables simultaneously have a significant effect on the dependent variables. Partially, the family environment and capital variables affect the decision of the class of 2017 Agribusiness Study Program students to become entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector. In the other hand, motivation does not affected their decision to become entrepreneurs. To increase the number of agribusiness bachelor students in entrepreneurship, the study program is expected to be able to work together with the university to provide real entrepreneurship experience for students by increasing the quota of participants for entrepreneurial programs such as the Student Entrepreneurship Program (PMW), Entrepreneurship Student Creativity (PKM-K) and Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM).

Abstract

Cohesiveness, leadership style of the farmer group leader and motivation are important in determining the activity of members to achieve the goals of the farmer group itself. This study aims to analyze the effect of cohesiveness, leadership style and motivation on the activeness of members of the Gondang Lestari Farmer Group. This research was conducted in January – February 2022, located in the Gondang Lestari Farmer Group, Alastuwo Village, Poncol District, Magetan Regency. The sampling method used was census with the number of respondents as many as 50 members of farmer groups. Methods of data collection was done by interview, observation and documentation. The data analysis method used was descriptive quantitative method in the form of multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study indicate that the independent variables have a significant effect on the dependent variable together. This means that cohesiveness, leadership style and motivation have an effect on the activeness of members of the Gondang Lestari Farmer Group. Partially, the cohesiveness variable did not affect the activeness of members of the Gondang Lestari Farmer Group, while leadership style and motivation affect the activeness of members of the Gondang Lestari Farmer Group. Suggestions for the future, for farmer group administrators it is necessary to look for more interesting ideas to increase the participation of group members, for example establishing partnerships with companies and for farmer group members, it is necessary to increase activity in developing farmer groups by diligently attending and giving opinions in meetings routinely, paying dues and participating in counseling held as village programs in order to achieve common goals and later be able to support progress in their respective farms.

Abstract

Problems faced by Farmers in Colomadu District is about the lack of price guarantees and market guarantees. These problems can be overcome by doing partnerships, with agriculture cooperative, for instance. Partnership is a form of cooperation between farmers and cooperative with the principle of mutual benefit. The aims of this study were (1) to describe the partnership between organic rice farmers and the Pertiwi Hijau Multipurpose Cooperative, and (2) to analyze the effect of the partnership to ward the success of organic rice farming. This research was conducted in January 2022 – February 2022, it located in Colomadu District, Karanganyar Regency. The research method used was the census method. The method of determining respondents was chosen by complete enumeration with the number of respondents of 30 farmers. Methods of data collection were done by interview and observation. The data used were primary data and secondary data. The data analysis method used was descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the variables of farming assistance, price guarantee, provision of production facilities and capital loans simultaneously had a significant effect toward the success of farming activity. The variables of farming assistance and credit partially had a significant effect on the success of farming activity. Based on the result, it need to revise the agreement on price guarantees and the provision of production facilities in order to improve farmer’s satisfaction.

Abstract

Weak capital and market information encourage farmers to access agricultural institutions, one of which is cooperatives. Most farmers prefer using the services of middlemen to cooperatives. This condition is influenced by differences in farmers' use of services, one of which is motivation. This study aims to (1) analyze the motivations of farmers to use and not use cooperative services; and (2) analyze the impact of needs, production facility availability, ability to develop, opportunities for advancement, credit availability, credit procedures, market guarantees, environmental conditions, and policy agencies on farmer motivation in using cooperative services. This research was conducted from February to March 2022 in Dlepih Village, Tirtomoyo District, Wonogiri Regency. The research method used a survey method. The sampling method used a complete enumaration method with 36 farmers as respondents. The data used was primary and secondary data. Data collection was done by interviews and observation. The data was analyzed using descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The result showed that farmers' motivation for using and not using cooperative services fell into the high category. The t-test demonstrates that need, ability to improve, opportunity to progress, market guarantees, and agency rules have a significant positive effect, while price affordability has a significant negative effect on farmers' motivation. As a result, it's critical to recognize the importance of understanding agricultural institutions, as well as changes in service, organizational, and financial readiness.

Abstract

Rice is a staple food for Indonesian people, but the loss of crop yields is still relatively high. The loss of crop yields can be reduced by making improvements to the application of technology. Technological innovation in agriculture can increase agricultural productivity. The process of accepting technological innovation is defined as the adoption. Farmer’s adoption of agricultural technology is determined by the characteristic of the innovation, including relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, trialability, and observability. The study aims to analyze the rate of adoption of combine harvester innovation technology, analyze the characteristics of combine harvester innovation technology, and analyze the correlation between the adoption rate of combine harvester innovation technology with the characteristic of the innovation. This research was conducted in December 2021 until February 2022, located in Balong 01 Farmer Group, Tanjungbaru Village, East Cikarang District. The sampling method used was purposive sampling with the number of respondents as many as 29 members of the farmer group. Used data in the form of primary data and secondary data. Methods of data collection are done by interview, observation, and documentation. The data analysis method used was descriptive quantitative method in the form of Spearman-rank Correlation analysis. The result of the research showed that the level of farmer adoption in combine harvester innovation technology is in the high category. The level of characteristic of combine harvester innovation technology is in the high category. Between characteristics of innovation (relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, trialability and observability) and the level of farmer’s adoption showed a significant correlation. Suggestions for the future, for farmer group administrators and agricultural extension workers together carry out counseling or socialization related to comparing the actual results of using combine harvester with machines that were previously used in order to convince farmers of the advantages of combine harvester technology.
