Abstract

Negeri Oma yang berada pada kawasan pesisir pantai dan memiliki beberapa karakteristik khusus untuk dijadikan daerah tujuan wisata. Khusus masyarakat Negeri Oma, penduduknya masih memiliki tradisi dan budaya yang masih asli. Pendapatan masyarakat negeri Oma sebesar 60% bersumber dari potensi perkebunan, diantarnya, cengkeh, pala, kelapa, singkong, dan beberapa jenis buah-buahan. Hasil pertanian ini proses pengolahan rata-rata melalui proses pengeringan. Seperti cengkeh basah dari hasil panen menjadi cengkeh kering, embal singkong, bunga pala dan daging kelapa untuk kopra. Untuk proses pengeringan beberapa perkebunan lokal masih dilakukan secara konvensional yaitu dijemur pada saat cuaca panas yang terik. Proses menjemur hasil perkebunan ini bisa memakan waktu sampai berhari-hari tergantung kondisi alam.Hasil perkebunan yang ada di Negeri Oma jika di jemur secara konvensional untuk daging kelapa dijemur memakan waktu antara 4 sampai 5 hari. Untuk perkebunan Cengkeh basah yang dijemur untuk menghasilkan cengkeh kering yang siap dipasarkan memakan waktu 10 – 12 hari. Untuk perkebunan bunga pala, proses pengeringan memakan waktu 2 sampai 3 hari. Sedangkan untuk proses pengasapan ikan asar yang kalau diolah secara tradisional bisa memerlukan waktu antara 2,5 jam sampai 3 jam. Dari permasalahan yang ada maka diperlukan alat pengering yang dapat digunakan dengan tidak dipengaruhi oleh cuaca dan penggunaan waktu yang lebih singkat dalam proses pengeringan atau pemanggangan hasil perkebunan dan hasil perikanan di negeri Oma. Prinsip kerja alat atau oven ini adalah loyang-loyang didesain sedemikian rupa dan bekerja secara berputar yang digerakan oleh motor listrik DC, proses berputar yang dirancang adalah untuk mengurangi proses pengamatan secara rutin dan untuk menghindari tidak meratanya pengeringan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tergolong baru dikarenakan satu alat dapat difungsikan untuk beberapa hasil perkebunan dan dapat juga untuk memanggang ikan yang belum ada pada umumnya.

Abstract

The new era confronts teachers with new tasks and obligations. The use of advanced technology has greatly improved the tradition of teaching English. Technology offers several options, such as making teaching more exciting and efficient. Technology is one of the most powerful drivers of social and linguistic change. As a result, it is necessary to use a learning medium that encourages students to be more enthusiastic about studying. This study intends to apply learning media with technology-assisted to students of SD Negeri Rutong, while also describing assessment media from professionals and users. The development approach utilized is Design and Development with the ADDIE research model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). The results obtained in this research are 1) Interactive multimedia named "Oxford Let’s Go for Young Learners"; 2) Media expert assessment 89,5%, material experts 91,7%, learning experts 92,4% based on the three assessments then the developed media belongs to the category of "Excellent"; 3) The assessment of 21 students gets a percentage of 74.8% in the category of "Good" which shows students satisfied with the developed media as a medium in learning English. However, further research is needed to determine the usefulness of multimedia use as a learning tool.
