Abstract

and eliminate waste. CV. Hidup Baru is a company that manufactures Bottled Drinking Water (bottled water) systems make to stock. The company set a number of production based on rough estimates of consumer demand in the previous periods. This causes the total production exceeds the amount of consumer demand for 6 periods within the range of the last 12 periods derived from historical data of the company. According to these data, too, can be seen an average of the final product inventory in the warehouse at 280% of the final product in each period. Stacking sizable inventory of this course will cause the cost of carrying cost is high. Therefore, this study aimed to optimize the amount of inventory in the warehouse by using the concept of lean manufacturing, in which the system uses the reorder point (amount of safety stock) as the minimum inventory that should be there in the shed, so companies can plan production quantities which should be generated in the next period. The results showed that with the proposed inventory system obtained total cost savings reached 716.100 cardboard carrying cost and inventory turnover value of 2 times is also larger than the current inventory system.Keywords: Lean Manufacturing, Safety Stock, Carrying Costs, Inventory Turnover

Abstract

This study aims to determine the optimal number of workers in accordance with the needs of the company and determine the standard time needed for the brick making process. The method used in this study is the stopwatch time study method in which this method is applied to work that lasts briefly and repeatedly (repetitive. Based on the results of the study shows that the optimal amount of labor that should be employed in accordance with the needs of companies in making stone brick press at each work station that is 2 workers with details of workers at the clay excavation station labor that should be employed that is amounting to 2 people, the station put clay into the press machine labor that should be employed that is amounting to 2 people, printing station power the work that should be employed is numbered 2 people, the work station compiles the printout into the wheelbarrow the manpower that should be employed is amounting to 2 people, and the work station compiles the press bricks to the place where the workforce should be employed which is the sum 2 people where the actual number of workers is only 3 people where of the three workers concurrently doing work activities, with the addition of the workforce at each station 1 workforce is expected to achieve production targets and can meet product demand every month at UD. Three Sets of Nagan Raya Regency. The standard time needed for the clay excavation station is 54.78 minutes, the standard time required for the station to enter clay into the press is 41.43 minutes, the standard time required for the brick press molding station is 43.03 minutes, the standard time needed at the work station to compile the printed material into the wheelbarrow is 55.86 minutes, while the standard time required at the work station to compile the brick press to the drying area is 50.17 minutes.

Abstract

This study used a rectilinear method in redesigning the layout of the salted fish production facility to minimize the mileage of Stefen Aluy's UKM. Stefen Aluy UKM is one of the salted fish businesses that is developing in West Aceh and its products are evenly distributed in West Aceh and its surroundings. The large production area makes it easier for UKM Stefen Aluy to maximize salted fish production. However, the large production area owned by UKM Stefen Aluy can result in long distances so that it is ineffective and efficient. The risk of worker fatigue and injury can occur due to the long distance. In addition, there is a risk of raw materials falling while moving. To minimize this potential, it is necessary to evaluate the layout of the salted fish production facilities at UKM Stefen Aluy, namely by improving the layout of the facilities. The rectilinear method can be used to minimize mileage in making layout improvements. From the results of the layout mapping based on the measurement of the rectilinear distance, the initial layout has a rectilinear distance of 6.932 cm, while the layout of the design results obtained a rectilinear distance of 3.409 cm. The result of the layout redesign resulted in a distance reduction of 49.04% from the previous distance.

Abstract

Agam Teknik is a business that produces dump trucks, where at the iron plate cutting site there are no work facilities that support operators in carrying out their work activities which result in complaints of skeletal muscles. In the production process activities, it was found that there were semi-automatic activities, namely the process of cutting iron plates using a welding torch on the floor so that the operator worked in a squatting state, bent knees and ankles, raised shoulders and bent body so that the work posture experienced by the operator was not ergonomic. The aims of this study were (1) to identify complaints of musculoskeletal disorders experienced by dump truck manufacturing operators using the Standard Nordic Quistionaire (SNQ), (2) to determine the value of the operator's work posture using the REBA method with the help of Ergofellow Software, and (3) to design ergonomic work facilities. SNQ is a method used to identify the source of muscle fatigue at work, while the REBA method is used to determine risk factors related to overall body posture at work. The tool used is Ergofellow Software which serves to analyze quickly and easily in terms of postural. The results of the identification of operator complaints during the dump truck manufacturing process, obtained two work stations where the operator felt very sick and painful complaints, namely at the cutting station and pressing the iron plate. Based on the identification results obtained eight operator complaints, namely extreme pain and pain including pain in the left and right shoulders, neck pain, left upper arm pain, back pain, left hand pain, right knee pain, left calf pain, and pain in the right leg. Recommendations from these conditions are to design an iron plate cutting work facility with the addition of a table for cutting iron plates, and to redesign the iron plate pressing station by adjusting the press tool used by the operator for pressing iron plates.

Abstract

This study discusses determining the performance of a coffee shop Small and Medium Enterprises (UKM) with the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Comparative Performance Index (CPI) method, determining performance is an important thing that must be done by a coffee shop UKM to win the competition with other coffee shop UKM. . The calculation of performance determination uses Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), which is able to evaluate the relative efficiency level of a coffee shop unit, and which is non-parametric and multifactorial, both output and input. This study also uses the calculation of determining the performance of the Comparative Performance Index (CPI) as an alternative system in selecting coffee shop performance. This research was conducted at 8 coffee shop units in Meulaboh, West Aceh. This research was conducted to see the performance of the coffee shop which is still growing rapidly until now, considering that until now coffee shops are increasingly in demand by various groups. Attributes in determining performance are the number of customers, capital, income / profit, salary, number of workers and a questionnaire. From the results of the calculation of the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) all performance units are all efficiency because they get a value of 1 (100%) and in the Comparative Performance Index (CPI) calculation there are different rankings, namely warkop mae first rank, second rank arab coffee, third rank kupi atjeh ulee kareng, fourth in abudel's coffee and bistro, fifth in chaplin cafe & restaurant, sixth in gampong coffee shop and bistro, seventh in one cafe, and eighth in praja coffee.

Abstract

This study uses moving average and exponential smoothing methods to predict the demand for Raskin rice in Banda Aceh. The Logistics Agency (Bulog) is a food institution in Indonesia that organizes a rice trading system, which functions to provide rice distribution services to the public. The fluctuation in demand for Raskin rice in Banda Aceh makes it difficult for Bulog to predict future needs. In addition, the excess supply of Raskin rice will also be very detrimental because rice is a staple that is perishable. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research to predict the demand for Raskin rice in Banda Aceh. The results of forecasting or prediction by comparing two methods and three errors in forecasting accuracy, it can be concluded that the exponential smoothing method with α = 0.90 can be used to predict the demand for Raskin rice in Banda Aceh City. The prediction result of the demand for raskin rice in Banda Aceh is 92,407 tons, with an MAD error rate of 4.92, MSE 34.58, and MAPE 0.006%, or having the smallest value compared to the 7-month moving average method.

Abstract

Egg shell is one of the livestock waste that becomes a problem for the community and foodstuff processing industry made from egg raw. With the massive amount of community consumption, of course, the amount of waste of eggshells will also accumulate and is usually thrown away. So waste eggshell is considered as waste that will be thrown away. Egg shell can be given as animal feed ingredients because it is notdangerous and in egg shells there are still many substances, as well as minerals that are needed by the body of poultry. This study aims to increase the production of chicken breeders through the best alternative feed selection. Making poultry chicken feed through the utilization of eggshell waste with various alternative raw material selection. Determination of the best type of egg shell waste based on nutritional value and quantity of livestock chicken production. This study is expected to reduce environmental pollution from eggshell waste and is expected to contribute relevant to increasing productivity of SMEs broiler farmers.Keywords: Egg Shell, animal feed, broiler farmers

Abstract

PDAM Tirta, Meulaboh, West Aceh District, WTP Lapang, is a regional company which gives clean water service to the people of Meaulaboh, West Aceh District. The capacity of production of PDAM Tirta, Meulaboh, West Aceh District WTP Lapang, was 80 liters/second, but during the system of distribution, it lost water at the average of ± 47.95% and the coverage of service of 39.06%. This condition was still under the ideal condition, that is, the loss of ≤ 20 and the coverage of service was ≥ 60%.The aim of the research was to find the design of increasing the production capacity in order to increase the coverage of service and formulate the strategy to increase the production capacity in water distribution system. Based on the analysis, it could be concluded that the low coverage of service occurred because the people’s need for water at Meulaboh increased along with the increase in population. Another factor was the facility of distribution network and the production installation was already old so that a lot of water got lost.Based on the projection of the number of population, using Geometric Method, it was found that the number of population at Meulaboh in the early of the current year of 2012 was 58,645 and at the end of the current year of 2021 was 71,894 with the level of the growth rate was 2.29%. The total need for water by the people of Meulaboh in the early current year of 2012 was 5,499,731 liters/day (63.65 liters/second), and at the end of the current year of 2021 was 9,920,712 liters/day (14.82 liters/second). Based on the data analysis, it was found that the increase of the planned production capacity was 115 liters/second. The strategic planning in supporting the increase of the production capacity of PDAM Tirtanadi, Meulaboh, West Aceh District, WTP Lapang was the strategic planning for decreasing the loss of clean water, the developing strategy for clean water supply system., the strategy for increasing production capacity, and the strategy for increasing the quality of water.Keywords: Water Treatment Plan, Production Capacity, Increasing the Capacity, Population Projection.

Abstract

The improvement of SMEs productivity can be seen from the ability of SMEs to make an effective and efficient production process. The problems issued by the Aceh Traditional Cake Maker SMEs above if viewed in more detail occur in the production process. SMEs do not support many production processes that can be increased to be more effective and efficient. During this time, SMEs Makers of Traditional Acehnese Cake feel there is waste that often occurs. However, Aceh's traditional SMEs makers rarely take measurements. In fact, waste really determines business efficiency and will certainly have an impact on productivity and low business profits. The purpose of this study is to allow waste that occurs with the concept of discussing Lean with the method of mapping the flow of values and reducing this waste so as to be able to increase the productivity of MSMEs Traditional Acehnese Cake Makers. The Lean concept will eliminate waste or non-value added activities from a process at the Aceh Traditional Cake Maker SMEs so that activities along the process flow produce Value. The method used to collect waste is Value Stream Mapping (VSM). The results of this study obtained waste that occurs in the process of making cakes waste of waiting time and waste of transportation that occurs in the work element of mixing dough, waste of defective products that occur in the work element of frying. The improvement offered to reduce waste is the activation of production equipment.

Abstract

Water is a basic need that is very important for humans and other living creatures. Drinking water is water whose quality meets health requirements and can drink, it was clean water is water used for daily necessities whose quality meets the requirements of health and can be taken if it has been cooked. The quality of products is one of the most important factors affecting the company's progress, as well as for the water company. In this regard discuss about water quality control if it meets quality standards or not. Quality Control of water in accordance with the standardization and quality standards are allowed very closely related to the level of customer satisfaction. Control of the quality of a product can be done by measuring the different variables that influence it. One way to measure and determine the quality of a product is by using the Taguchi method is done with the design parameters is one of the design phase of a product or process. So hopefully by doing this study water quality PDAM Tirta Meulaboh can be controlled and can be controlled which can certainly improve water services to the people of Aceh Barat.Kata Kunci : Water, Quality Control, Customer Satisfaction, Taguchi.
