Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study was to reveal the picture of students' interest to wards learning the art of music in SMP Negeri 1 Painan South Coastal District. This type of researc his descriptive, while research conducted in February-March 2013. The instrument used was a questionnaire to collect data using a Likert scale. Data were analyzed using frequency distribution formula in the form of a percentage.  From the analysis of the data obtained the following results: 1. Minat siswa in SMPN egeri 1 Painan seen from the classification indicators are sufficient participation (74.1%).  2. Student interest in SMP Negeri 1 Painan seen from the classification indicators are sufficient attention to the percentage of75.7%. 3. Student interest in SMP Negeri 1 Painan seen from the feeling of being on the classification of the indicators enough with the percentage of 79.3%.  It means that of the three indicators of interest needs to be improved, so that students become better.   Kata kunci : Minat, pembelajaran, musik, deskriptif.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai karakter pada buku ajar Pendidikan Agama Islam Sekolah Dasar dan kesesuaian nilai-nilai tersebut dengan rumusan nilai utama dan indikator nilai yang dirumuskan Pusat Kurikulum (Puskur) Kementerian Pendidikan Nasional RI tahun 2010. Metode yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian ini adalah analisis konten. Data dikumpulkan melalui pembacaan dan pencatatan yang cermat terhadap buku ajar Pendidikan Agama Islam untuk kelas I sampai dengan kelas VI Sekolah Dasar yang diterbitkan Tiga Serangkai tahun 2012. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode pemaparan nilai-nilai karakter dalam buku ajar tersebut bersifat eksplisit dan berkesesuaian dengan nilai karakter yang dirumuskan Puskur Kemendiknas tahun 2010. Namun dalam penyajiannya terdapat ketidaksesuaian atau bias bila dibandingkan dengan rumusan nilai karakter Kemendiknas. Bias penulisan tersebut dalam bentuk: pertama, Ketidaksesuaian nilai yang digunakan dalam buku teks dengan rumusan nilai karakter Kemendiknas, kedua, ketidaksesuaian materi nilai karakter dengan indikator nilai karakter dari Kemendiknas, dan ketiga, ketidaktepatan dalam menentukan nilai karakter yang dijelaskan.Kata kunci: nilai karakter, buku teks, pendidikan agama Islam.AN ANALYSIS OF CHARACTER VALUES IN THE TEXTBOOK OF ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION OF PRIMARY SCHOOL Abstract: This study is aimed to identify the form of character values in the textbook of Islamic Religion Education for primary school and the correspondence with character values formulated by Center of Curriculum of Ministry of National Education. This study employed content analysis method. The data were collected through a careful reading and recording the Islamic Religion Education textbooks for Primary School published by Penerbit Tiga Serangkai.The results show that the explanation of character values in the text book of Islamic religion Education for primary school is explicit and in correspond to the character values that are formulated by Center of Curriculum of Ministry of National Education. However, there is a discrepancy in the presentation or bias when it is compared with the formulation of the character values of Kemendiknas.The bias in the form of writing is: 1) The value of the characters used in the text book is not in accordance with the formulation of the character values of Kemendiknas; 2) the subject of character value is not in accordance with the indicator of character value of Kemendiknas; and 3) there is an inappropiateness in determining the value of the character that will be described.Keywords: character values, textbook, Islamic religious education.

Abstract

This study aims at finding the configuration pattern in education that exists among families, schools and social community and determining the quality of education which affects the high quality of education. This study implements phenomenological-qualitative approach carried out in three schools in Bantul regency. The respondents of the research were the principals, teachers, students, school committee, and parents. The data were obtained through in-depth interview, observation and documentation study which were analyzed qualitatively. The result of the research shows that the pattern of educational configuration is formed by the variations of school’s implementation of responsibilities carried out separately and consecutively in a family, schools and a social community. The quality of education at the level of school system is considered better compared to that of individuals and it also varies based on the school’s condition. The pattern of configuration of the educational responsibility aspect is related to the quality of education itself. The pattern does affect the level of the quality of the education if the family, schools and the social community do the responsibility separately, consecutively and consistently without being affected by any distractor.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi pelaksanaan Sekolah Menengah Umum (SMU) unggul, terutama mengenai: (1) kondisi lingkungan sekolah baik fisik, sosial maupun budaya, (2) cara seleksi atau penyaringan peserta didik untuk sekolah unggul, (3) kualifikasi dan cara rekrutmen tenaga kependidikan, (4) pemahaman dan penerapan kurikulum, (5) pengadaan dan pemanfaatan sarana serta prasarana, (6) pelaksanaan proses belajar mengajar, (7) manajemen sekolah, dan (8) usaha pencarian dana dan pemanfaatannya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian evaluasi yang bersifat kualitanf. Pendekatan evaluasi yang digunakan untuk mengembangkan kriteria adalah gabungan antara pendekatan proses dengan fidelity, sedang metode yang digunakan adalah metode etnografi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMU I Yogyakarta. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengadakan observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis domain, taksonomi, komponensial dan tema. Pemeriksaan keabsahan data penelitian dilakukan dengan mengadakan triangulasi sumber data dan metode. Penelitian ini menghasilkan: (1) lingkungan fisik sekolah belum sepenuhnya kondusif dalam mendukung proses belajar mengajar. Sebaliknya hubungan sosial dan lingkungan budaya sekolah sudah cukup baik dan harmonis. (2) Cara seleksi belum sepenuhnya menggunakan pedoman yang digariskan oleh Depdikbud. (3) Cara rekrutmen dan penetapan kualifikasi guru cukup selektif, akan tetapi dalam pelaksanaannya masih banyak mengalami hambatan. (4) Pengembangan kurikulum dipahami dan dilaksanakan dengan cara menambah jam pelajaran pada pelajaran-pelajaran yang diujikan dalam EBTANAS. (S) Pengadaan sarana dan prasarana cukup terbatas, walaupun demikian pemanfaatannya sebagian besar sudah cukup optimal. (6) Proses belajar mengajar sudah berjalan baik dan berkualitas karena guru menguasai mated, menggunakan berbagai metode dan penuh kedisiplinan. Untuk kelas tiga diadakan Pengembangan Materi Ketrampilan Teknis (PMKT) dan try-out untuk persiapan UMPTN. (7) Manajemen sekolah cukup baik, bijaksana, komunikatif dan bersikap terbuka. (8) Pendanaan sekolah didukung dari iuran rutin, dan sumbangan sukarela dari kelas I, II dan III lewat BP3, serta Kanwil Depdikbud. Berdasar temuan ini, penibahan nama dari sekolah unggul menjadi sekolah berwawasan unggul untuk SMU I Yogyakarta tidak berpengaruh terhadap kebijakan sekolah.

Abstract

Background: Chronic diarrhea is a common problem encountered by clinicians. Colonoscopy is a tool with high accuracy and sensitivity to depict abnormalities and has the advantage in distinguishing the abnormalities that cause chronic diarrhea. Nevertheless, the colonoscopic findings in patients with chronic diarrhea vary by age. The objective of this study is to observe abnormalities found in lower gastrointestinal tract in patients withchronic diarrhea who underwent colonoscopy and its relationship with age.Method: An observational analytic study, data retrieved from medical record of outpatient and inpatient with chronic diarrhea at Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang from January 2011 until December 2012. Chronic diarrhea diagnosis was based on clinical findings, laboratory result, and colonoscopy procedure. Patients were then divided into groups based on age ( 40 and 40). Data were analyzed with SPSS 12.0.Results: There were 92 patients consisted of 56 (60.9%) male and 36 (39.1%) female. Mean age was 47.67 ± 16.83 with age interval 15-85 years. Group I of 35 (38%) patients, whereas group II of 57 (62%) patients. The colonoscopic findings were ulcerative colitis 33 (35.9%), normal 27 (29.3%), colon tumor 20 (21.7%), colitis tuberculosis 5 (5.4%), Crohn’s disease 3 (3.3%) and polyp 4 (4.3%). Based on age, the incidence of ulcerative colitis was most frequently encountered in both groups, whereas normal colon and colon tumors were encountered most in group II. No correlation was found between age and colon abnormality (p = 0.87).Conclusion: The most common finding was ulcerative colitis followed by normal colon and colon tumor. Abstract

ABSTRACTBackground: Esophageal varices is the most common complication in liver cirrhosis. Bleeding varices is a serious complication causing increased mortality rate. In anticipation of those complications, the role of screening test is essential. Endoscopy is the standard method for assessing esophageal varices, but it carries certain risks for patients if it is contraindicated. Moreover, it is an invasive, expensive and uncomfortable procedure. Accordingly, a non-invasive method, aspartat aminotransferase to platelet ratio index (APRI) score, has been developed for evaluating esophageal varices.  Method: An analytic cross-sectional observational study was conducted in patients with liver cirrhosis who underwent endoscopy between March 2011 and August 2012. Data were obtained from medical records of hospitalized patients in Mohammad Hoesin General Hospital. The degree of esophageal varices was assessed based on endoscopic findings and APRI score. Spearman test was performed to analyze the correlation between APRI score and the degree of esophageal varices.Results: There were 55 patients, 30 (54.5%) male and 25 (45.5%) female patients, with a range of age between 15-70 years and a mean value of age of 47.09 ± 12.8. APRI score 0.5 was found in 21.81% subjects, APRI score of 0.5-1.5 was obtained in 41.81% subjects and APRI score 1.5 was noted in 36.36% subjects with a mean value of 2.32 ± 3.92. There was a correlation between APRI score and degree of esophageal varices with p = 0.011 Conclusion: APRI score can indirectly predict esophageal varices in patients with liver cirrhosis. Keywords: APRI score, the degree of esophageal varices, liver cirrhosis

Abstract

Background: Gastropathy represent a disparity of gastric mucosal characterized by sub-epithelial bleeding and erosion. Gastropathy can be induced by non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), alcohol, stressor, and chemical agents with various sign and symptoms. NSAIDs-induced gastropathy is the second most common etiology of gastric ulcer and variceal haemorrhages. Aims: To investigate the effectivity of rebamipide compare with omeprazole in treatment of NSAIDs- induced gastropathy. Method: This triple blind randomized study was enrolled from January to June 2004 with 38 subjects who were recruited from outpatient and inpatient clinic in M Hoesin Hospital in Palembang. Subject was divided into two groups. Endoscopic examination was performed in every patients. Results: There was an improvement of symptom in rebamipide group (78.9%) and omeprazole group (79.0%) after treatment but it didn’t have significant difference statistically. Improvement of NSAIDs induced gastropathy after treatment between two groups have significant difference (P = 0.02), and improvement of gradation of gastropathy after treatment has significant difference (P = 0.007).There was no side effect of administration of rebamipide and omeprazole in each group. Conclusion: Rebamipide as effective as omeprazole in improvement of symptom. Omeprazole is more effective than rebamipide in improvement of NSAIDs induced gastropathy and is as safe as rebamipide in the treatment of NSAIDs induced gastropathy.
