Abstract

Kata kunci : klorofil-a, parameter fisika-kimia, dan Teluk Jakarta

Abstract

The Standard of living for fishermen’s families can be achieved through economic creativity by developing and diversifying fishery products. Women in fishery families have an essential contribution and an important role in their households. However, the part is not only domestically but also publicly, such as in marketing the products, refinement of the fishing gears, and fishing activities, among others. The object of the Community Service is mentoring activities and imparting knowledge through the diversification of fishery processing product with the fisherwomen (fishermen's wives and fisherman's daughters who do not have regular activities) as the targeted people. The activity was carried out in July 2022 at the Jambula KUB, Ternate City, North Maluku Province. Initial activities conducted were observation and discussion related to the desire and interest of fisherwomen to utilize fishery products to have added value through the process of fish catches. Results: The outputs that will result from this community service activity are (1) diversification of fish food products (local name : mpek=mpek and fish meatballs); (2) transferring of business management knowledge on how to make financial report for fishermen's families and (3) introducing the use digital media for business and marketing purposes and (4) the ability of fisherwomen to obtain other income from the small-scale fishery that has an impact on the family welfare, (5) Fishermen's family life is more prosperous and (6) scientific publications through reliable journals.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Sticks are processed fish products that are very popular with children and adults. This type of food is in the form of snacks consumed between main meals. Stick in the form of long flat thin slices made from wheat flour, tapioca flour, eggs, and water are fried and have a savory taste and crunchy texture. The fish ingredient added to the stick product to add nutritional value to the stick snack. Processed diversification can be business groups or independently to increase family income. Steak is a snack that tastes good and is easy to carry anywhere. The purpose of this activity can provide skills in making snacks that contain nutritional value to the community, especially for women who are members of the UMKM Mekar Jaya Tobter in the Ternate archipelago. And it can be used as additional family income if on a large scale. The resulting output targets are: Partners can process sticks from anchovies, partners in processing anchovies into partners increased skills, and can produce on a large scale. This activity was carried out in July 2022 with a demonstration. The demonstration activity process was exemplified to group members and involved in the activation process. The sticks made in this PKM activity come from anchovy caught by Bagan and are commonly found in Ternate city. These raw materials are needed on the market on a large scale. Increasing skills through this community service activity added value to group members.

Abstract

Healthy seagrass beds have high ecological value, characterized by high diversity and even distribution in the water. However, currently, the health condition of seagrass beds is threatened both naturally and by human activities. For example, the loss of seagrass meadows due to human activities in coastal areas, including on Maitara Island, North Maluku Province, Indonesia. The objective of this research is to identify the community structure of seagrass, and the proper management options to minimize negative impacts on damage to the seagrass meadow ecosystem and sustain seagrass resources. The study was conducted in the South Maitara and the North Maitara, during the dry season from September to October 2020 using vertical transect methods. The result shows that the average index of diversity, evenness, and dominance on Maitara Island of 1.0970, 0.6470, and 0.5892, respectively. The beaches of South Maitara and North Maitara have poor diversity, a good category for evenness, and a stable community. Enhalus acoroides has the highest density of 294 ind/m2, followed by Thalassia hemprichii around 287 ind/m2. Based on the ecosystem aproach fisheries management (EAFM) analysis, to effectively manage seagrass ecosystems in Maitara Island, a social development strategy is needed through community awareness, counseling, and capacity building in the management and utilization of seagrass ecosystems in Maitara Island to effectively manage the seagrass ecosystem in Maitara Island, a social development strategy is needed through public awareness, counseling, and capacity building in the management and utilization of the seagrass ecosystem in Maitara Island. Keywords:Seagrasscommunity structurediversitydensityevennessMaitara Island
