Abstract

Information about proactive motivation (PM) is important to  hospital manager to predict the Job crafting  (JC) behavior of hospital staff.  High  JC  may lead to employee satisfaction and employee engagement at organization. Furthermore, it can improve staff performance and support the achievement of organizational goals.  Individuals with proactive personalities are also most likely to change their work environment proactively. Motivation proactive can be generated by self efficacy and motivation internal. The purpose of this research was to analyze the ability of PM to stimulate JC behavior of hospital staff. This study was a cross sectional study. One hundred fifty five (155) staff was selected from 641 population in three (3) hospitals in Mamuju Regency. Data was analyzed by linear regression analysis. The research shows that  89 % of sample had good PM and based on profession, more medical doctors had good PM than nurses. The bivariate analysis of PM and JC found that the p. value was 0,000 less than ⍶-value 0,05. It means that statistically, PM influenced the JC. Proactive motivation affects job crafting by 16.2%.   When the hospital staff have high PM then the JC can be generated. The hospital manager should create working environment to foster  PM among staff.

Abstract

Bugis tribes is one of the most widely tribes spread in Indonesia known to have high enthusiasm, likes adventureand wandering.Their cultural value may affect to their performance in organization.This study aim was to analyzethe influence length of work employment on organizational citizenship behavior of bugineese nurse in the inpatientunit at Labuang Baji Hospital. This research is a quantitative research. The design used was analytic observationalwith a cross-sectional study approach. A sample of 98 nurses were selected by purposive sampling technique withthe Bugis tribe criteria. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression tests. The results of the study showedthat all bugineese nurses at inpatient unit at Labuang Baji Hospital had a high OCB level. The results of the linearregression test between the length of employment and OCB showed that there was no effect between length ofemployment and OCB, with value of p = 0.203> 0.005. It was concluded that nurses had a high level of OCB, althoughwith different length of work, this was because the bugineese nurses had reflected the cultural value of siri ‘na pesse inthe form of matinulu (hard work), getteng (firm) and marenreng perru (loyal) when provided services in the hospital.

Abstract

A positive ethical climate can create job satisfaction for employees. This study aims to see the effect of ethical climate on the job crafting of health workers and its impact on job satisfaction. This research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional study approach. The population consisted of health workers at RSUD Mamuju, RS Bhayangkara Polda Mamuju and RS Mitra Manakarra Mamuju, West Sulawesi Province with 155 employees selected as samples. Samples were selected by quota sampling, then analyzed using the Path Analysis test at SPSS 20. The value of standardized coefficients beta as a direct effect is 0.023 and the indirect effect is 0.043, meaning that the value of the indirect effect is greater than the value of the direct effect. These results indicate that indirectly the Ethical Climate (EC) through Job Crafting (JC) has a significant impact on Job Satisfaction (JS). Thus, "there is an effect of EC (X) through JC (Y) on JS (Z)". JC mediates EC in improving employee JS. Job crafting can affect job satisfaction if hospital staff have another supporting factor, namely the ethical climate. To improve the ethical climate by providing a motivational boost, management must identify the dimensions of employee work activities in job crafting, apart from training and feedback from direct superiors.
