Abstract

Multimedia that you can interact with is an important part of learning. Multimedia can be used as a learning tool to improve the quality of learning. Learning media can be used to try out different ways to teach and learn. Interactive media made for Android helps students learn more. Using this material makes a big difference in how well students learn. The goal of this study is to find out how students feel about using interactive multimedia based on Android in Biology classes at Senior High Schools after COVID-19. This study was done with 60 students from Mts Ar Royan Aek Nabara Labuhanbatu. They all filled out a questionnaire. Students were sent a questionnaire to gather information, and the results were looked at. According to the perception findings, 67 percent of students have used interactive multimedia based on Android, 69 percent of teachers use audiovisual tools to teach ideas, and 78 percent of respondents prefer to use interactive multimedia. This shows that using Android-based interactive multimedia apps could improve the quality and effectiveness of biology education during the COVID-19 epidemic.

Abstract

Pembelajaran merupakan bagian integral dari proses pendidikan. Proses pembelajaran yang baik atau berkualitas sangat menentukan terwujudnya tujuan pendidikan. Demikian juga pembelajaran matematika yang berkualitas sedikit banyak menjadi faktor penentu bagi keberhasilan pembelajaran matematika.Tujuan tesis ini adalah menyelidiki pelaksanaan manajemen peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran matematika yang memusatkan pada empat fokus : (1) Bagaimanakah tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pembelajaran matematika agar kualitasnya meningkat ?, (2) Usaha atau strategi apakah yang ditempuh oleh guru matematika untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran matematika di SMA Labuhanbatu?, (3) Faktor-faktor apakah yang dapat memberikan dukungan terhadap pelaksanaan manajemen peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran matematika diSMA Labuhanbatu? (4) Faktor-faktor apakah yang menjadi kendala terhadap pelaksanaan manajemen peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran matematika diSMA Labuhanbatu?.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif atau penelitian kualitatif, dengan rancangan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara mendalam. Nara sumber (sumber data) diambil dengan teknik snowball. Keabsahan data diperoleh dengan teknik triangulasi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan : (1) Manajemen peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran matematika dilaksanakan melalui tiga tahap; yaitu, tahap perencanaan, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap penilaian. secara interaktif, inspiratif, menyenangkan, menantang, memotivasi peserta didik untuk berpartisipasi aktif, serta memberikan ruang yang cukup bagi prakarsa, kreativitas, dan kemandirian, (2) Usaha yang dilakukan oleh guru untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran matematika, antara lain dengan cara memberikan tugas secara terstruktur, (3) Ada tiga faktor pendukung bagi manajemen peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran, yaitu : dukungan orang tua, sarana pembelajaran, dan model kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, (4) Adapun yang menjadi kendalanya, antara lain masih berlakunya anggapan bahwa belajar matematika itu sulit, dan motivasi siswa kurang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar belajar siswa pada materi pencemaran lingkungan di SMA Negeri 1 Kualuh Hulu. Metode penelitian menggunakan quasi- eksperimen dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 3 kelas yang ditentukan secara acak dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Pada kelas X-2 dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran guided inquiry, kelas X-5 dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran modified free inquiry, dan kelas X-3 dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini tes kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam bentuk tes tertulis. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Analysis Covariat dengan bantuan program SPSS 22.0 for Windows, Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh modelpembelajaran terhadap Keterampilan proses sains siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan modelguided inquiry (58,14±12,82) secara signifikan lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan modelmodified free inquiry (53,30 ± 13,78) dan yang dibelajarkan dengan Pembelajaran Konvensional (50,09 ± 12,94). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat model pembelajaran yang signifikan guided inquiry antara peserta didik yang diajar dengan model modified free inquiry dan peserta didik yang diajar dengan menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional pada taraf nyataα = 0,05.

Abstract

Pengembangan pengobatan oral tradisional antidiabetes dari tanaman herbal yang minim efek samping sudah mulai banyak dilakukan. Penelitian tentang pengaruh pemberian ekstrak daun Haramonting (Rhodomyrtus tomentosa) sebagai anti diabetes terhadap berat badan dan kondisi histology pankreas mencit (Mus muscullus L.) telah dilakukan pada bulan Juli-September 2019. Penelitian bertujuan untuk memperoleh dosis terbaik dari ekstrak Haramonting yang dapat memicu peningkatan berat badan dan memperbaiki kerusakan sel β pankreas mencit terjangkit diabetes. Penelitian menggunakan metoda eksperimen murni.dengan 5 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan.. perlakuan-I, mencit normal tanpa perlakuan, sebagai kontrol. Perlakuan–II, induksi aloxan pada mencit diabetes+makanan standar. Perlakuan-III, mencit diabetes (diberi ekstrak air daun haramonting dengan dosis 50 mg/kg). Perlakuan-IV, mencit diabetes (diberi ekstrak air daun haramonting dengan dosis 100 mg/kg). Perlakuan-V, mencit diabetes (diberi ekstrak air daun haramonting dengan dosis 200 mg/kg). Ekstrak diberikan selama 11 hari berturut-turut secara oral. Selanjutnya, Pengukuran berat badan dari mencit pada hari pengamatan ke-3, 5, 7, 9, dan 11 setelah seluruh rangkaian perlakuan diberikan. Pada hari ke-11, seluruh mencit percobaan dibedah dan diambil kelenjar pankreasnya untuk diamati kondisi histologinya. Preparat kelenjar pankreas dibuat dengan menggunakan blok parafin dan pewarnaan Hematoksilin-Eosin (HE). Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa ekstrak air daun haramonting memiliki berpotensi memperbaiki simptom kehilangan berat badan mencit diabetes, dimana seluruh perlakuan dosis EADH 50 mg/kg Berat Badan, EADH 100 mg/kg BB, EADH 200 mg/kg BB mengalami peningkatan, terlihat juga dari kondisi hasil histologi, rerata luas pulau langerhans pankreas perlakuan-IV (mencit diabetes+EADH 100 mg/kg BB) mengalami perbaikan luas maksimum dibandingkan dengan perlakuan-II (mencit diabetes).

Abstract

Learning is a process of interaction between students, educators, and learning resources in an educational environment to achieve certain goals. This study aims to examine the effect of using animation media in learning the respiratory system on the completeness of learning outcomes of class VIII students of SMPIT Robbani Rantauprapat. This study uses an experimental design by comparing two groups, namely the experimental class using animation media and the control class using conventional methods. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of animation media in improving student understanding and to compare student learning outcomes between the two methods. The results showed that the completion of student learning outcomes in the experimental class using animation media reached 94.28%, while in the control class it only reached 42.85%. The discussion of these results indicates that animation media can significantly improve student understanding compared to traditional lecture methods. In conclusion, the use of animation media in learning the respiratory system is very effective in improving the completion of student learning outcomes. This study suggests the use of animation media as an interesting and effective learning alternative.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine students’ responses and compare their learning motivation in ecosystem learning after the implementation of Canva-based interactive learning media among tenth-grade senior high school students. The study employed a descriptive-comparative quantitative approach supported by qualitative data. The participants consisted of 60 Grade X students from three classes. All classes received ecosystem instruction using Canva-based interactive learning media. Data were collected through a learning motivation questionnaire, a student response questionnaire, classroom observations, and interviews. The quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), while the qualitative data were used to support the interpretation of the findings. The results showed that students generally responded positively to the use of Canva-based learning media. Students reported that Canva helped them understand ecosystem material more easily, increased their interest in learning, enhanced their enthusiasm in completing tasks, and improved classroom interaction. The statistical analysis also revealed a significant difference in students’ learning motivation among the three classes after the implementation of Canva-based learning media, with Class X-3 obtaining the highest mean score. These findings indicate that Canva-based interactive learning media have strong potential to support students’ learning motivation and create a more engaging and student-centered learning environment in ecosystem instruction. However, the extent of its impact may vary across classes depending on classroom conditions and the learning process.

Abstract

Kegiatan sosialisasi ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman terhadap masyarakat, khususnya ibu rumah tangga yang bertempat di desa Sukadame, Kecamatan Silangkitang, Kabupaten Labuhanbatu Selatan, mengenai cara pembuatan minuman herbal sedu jahe merah yang memiliki potensi tinggi untuk dikembangkan menjadi usaha rumahan (home industri). Jahe merah banyak memiliki berbagai manfaat kesehatan, lalu diolah melalui beberapa proses pembuatan seperti pembersihan, pengeringan, penghalusan, dan dikemas dalam kantong seperti kantong seduh celup mirip dengan sarang teh. Sosialisasi ini dilakukan melalui sosialisasi dan diskusi interaktif. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya antusiasme masyarakat serta peningkatan pengetahuan mengenai produksi dan manfaat seduh jahe merah. Tim berharap kegiatan ini dapat dikembangkan sebagai usaha mandiri berbasis olahan herbal  yang berkontribusi terhadap ekonomi keluarga.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze students’ perceptions of biology learning based on the school surrounding environment at HAS Sepakat Negeri Lama Private Senior High School, Labuhanbatu. This study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive survey design. The participants were 60 Grade X students from two classes, selected using total sampling. Data were collected using a closed-ended questionnaire consisting of 15 items covering cognitive, affective, and conative dimensions. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Mann–Whitney U test. The results showed that students’ perception scores ranged from 3.63 to 4.28, falling within the high to very high categories. These findings indicate that students perceived environment-based biology learning as beneficial, relevant, and engaging. The Mann–Whitney U test showed no significant difference in students’ perceptions between the two classes (p = 0.382), suggesting relatively similar learning experiences across groups. Overall, environment-based biology learning can support contextual and meaningful learning by connecting biological concepts with real environmental phenomena. These findings provide practical implications for biology teachers in designing learning strategies that utilize the surrounding environment as an authentic learning resource and contribute to the development of contextual learning in biology education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of teacher barriers and the optimization of teaching aids on students’ conceptual understanding of biology at SMA Negeri 1 Panai Hulu. This quantitative research employed a survey method using questionnaires administered to 140 students. The research instruments were validated and found to be reliable, with Cronbach’s Alpha values ranging from 0.845 to 0.900. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression after meeting all classical assumption tests. The results indicate that teacher barriers have a significant effect on conceptual understanding (p = 0.017), while the optimization of teaching aids shows a stronger and highly significant effect (p = 0.000) with the highest beta value (β = 0.499). Simultaneously, both variables significantly influence students’ conceptual understanding, as reflected by an F-value of 14.866 and an R² value of 0.178, indicating that teacher barriers and teaching aids optimization explain 17.8% of the variance in students’ conceptual understanding. These findings emphasize the importance of improving teacher competence and optimizing the use of teaching aids as key strategies to enhance biology conceptual understanding in secondary education.
