Abstract

This research investigated teachers’ readiness in implementing online learning during COVID-19 pandemic. This was quantitative research with a description analysis approach. The data collection technique used a structured questionnaire. It involved 78 senior high school teachers as respondents spread across nine sub-districts in Labuhanbatu Regency, Indonesia. The results revealed that the implementation of online learning has not been maximized. There are several factors that influence science teachers in running online learning, including the readiness of teachers to use various platforms as online learning media has not varied, the quality of the internet network is poor in some areas, some students do not have a smartphone/computer and have difficulty in buying internet data packages. The results of this study are expected to be used as an evaluation material to improve the online learning system to make it more effective and efficient.

Abstract

Pengembangan pengobatan oral tradisional antidiabetes dari tanaman herbal yang minim efek samping sudah mulai banyak dilakukan. Penelitian tentang pengaruh pemberian ekstrak daun Haramonting (Rhodomyrtus tomentosa) sebagai anti diabetes terhadap berat badan dan kondisi histology pankreas mencit (Mus muscullus L.) telah dilakukan pada bulan Juli-September 2019. Penelitian bertujuan untuk memperoleh dosis terbaik dari ekstrak Haramonting yang dapat memicu peningkatan berat badan dan memperbaiki kerusakan sel β pankreas mencit terjangkit diabetes. Penelitian menggunakan metoda eksperimen murni.dengan 5 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan.. perlakuan-I, mencit normal tanpa perlakuan, sebagai kontrol. Perlakuan–II, induksi aloxan pada mencit diabetes+makanan standar. Perlakuan-III, mencit diabetes (diberi ekstrak air daun haramonting dengan dosis 50 mg/kg). Perlakuan-IV, mencit diabetes (diberi ekstrak air daun haramonting dengan dosis 100 mg/kg). Perlakuan-V, mencit diabetes (diberi ekstrak air daun haramonting dengan dosis 200 mg/kg). Ekstrak diberikan selama 11 hari berturut-turut secara oral. Selanjutnya, Pengukuran berat badan dari mencit pada hari pengamatan ke-3, 5, 7, 9, dan 11 setelah seluruh rangkaian perlakuan diberikan. Pada hari ke-11, seluruh mencit percobaan dibedah dan diambil kelenjar pankreasnya untuk diamati kondisi histologinya. Preparat kelenjar pankreas dibuat dengan menggunakan blok parafin dan pewarnaan Hematoksilin-Eosin (HE). Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa ekstrak air daun haramonting memiliki berpotensi memperbaiki simptom kehilangan berat badan mencit diabetes, dimana seluruh perlakuan dosis EADH 50 mg/kg Berat Badan, EADH 100 mg/kg BB, EADH 200 mg/kg BB mengalami peningkatan, terlihat juga dari kondisi hasil histologi, rerata luas pulau langerhans pankreas perlakuan-IV (mencit diabetes+EADH 100 mg/kg BB) mengalami perbaikan luas maksimum dibandingkan dengan perlakuan-II (mencit diabetes).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesulitan siswa dalam pembelajaran teorema phytagoras ditinjau dari minat belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan deskriftip kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian adalah 3 orang siswa dari 34 siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Rantau Utara setiap siswa mewakili dari masing-masing kategori minat belajar yakni rendah, sedang tinggi. Hasil penelitian adalah siswa dengan kategori minat belajar rendah mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep, terlihat dalam jawaban siswa hanya menjumlahkan mengurangkan yang diketahui dalam soal nomor 1 dan 2 kategori minat rendah juga mengalami kesulitan melakukan operasi bilangan, menyelesaikan soal verbal, membedakan simbol. Siswa kategori sedang mengalami kesulitan dalam melakukan operasi bilangan di mana hasil akhir yang diberikan siswa tidak sesuai dengan informasi pada soal nomor 1, 2. Adapun siswa dengan minat belajar tinggi mengalami kesulitan memberikan simbol nama satuan pada saol nomor 1, 2.

Abstract

This research aims to find out whether there is an effect of the STAD learning model with the help of Geogebra media on student learning outcomes. This research is an experimental research with a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-post test control group design. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. Population This study consisted of all students of class VIII SMP Muhammaduyah 25 Rantau Prapat. The samples in this study were class VIII-B as an experimental class using the Geogebra-assisted STAD learning model of 31 students and class VIII-A as a control class using the learning model. conventional as many as 32 students. The instrument used was a test in the form of an essay. The data analysis technique in this study used the t test especially Paired Sample T-Test. In data analysis using SPSS 22. From the results of the hypothesis analysis, the value of Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05. This means that there is an influence on students' mathematics learning outcomes in the material of Straight Line Equations which are taught using the STAD learning model with the help of Geogebra media and conventional learning models.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: 1) the effect of the snowball throwing learning model on the learning motivation of class X students at SMA Negeri 1 Merbau, 2) the effect of the snowball throwing learning model on the learning outcomes of class X students at SMA Negeri 1 Merbau, 3) the effect of the snowball learning model throwing on the motivation and learning outcomes of class X students at SMA Negeri 1 Merbau. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The design model uses a pretest posttest control group design The sampling technique was carried out using a random sampling technique, namely class X-2 totaling 28 students as the control class which was given the conventional learning model treatment ,and class X-1 totaling 28 students as the experimental class being treated with the Snowball Throwing learning model. Based on the results of the study, the univariate Manova-Test obtained the F value for learning motivation, namely 8.751; p < 0.05 and the F value for learning outcomes is 5.219; p < 0.05 while in a multivariate manner motivation and learning outcomes obtained the F value for namely 5.204; p < 0.05. Univariate and multivariate test results have a significance of <0.05. That is, the values of F are all significant. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Snowball Throwing learning model on student motivation and learning outcomes in the independent learning curriculum. Keywords: Learning Outcomes; Learning Motivation; Snowball Throwing Learning Model

Abstract

Salah satu faktor keberhasilan dalam edukasi matematika adalah kemampuan anak didik dalam memecahkan masalah matematika. Situasi saat ini adalah bahwa anak didik masih belum mampu memecahkan masalah terkait matematika. Sistem pelaksanaan edukasi terpadu dengan media edukasi menuntut anak didik untuk mampu memecahkan masalah matematika. Tujuan dari riset ini ialah dalam rangka upaya mengidentifikasi dampak serta pengaruh dari penggunaan sistem pelaksanaan edukasi problem based learning (PBL) berbantuan media animasi terhadap pemecahan masalah numerik dan statistika dasar anak didik. Riset ini dilakukan di SMPN 2 Rantau Selatan. Metode riset yang dimanfaatkan adalah quasi experiment sedangkan desain riset yang dimanfaatkan adalah post-test only control group design. Subjek penelitian adalah seluruh anak didik kelas IX dan sampel yang dimanfaatkan adalah kelas IX2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas IX3 sebagai kelas control. Teknik simple random sampling digunakan dalam pengambilan sample. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu teknik analisis data statistik deskriptif dengan menggunakan instrumen angket dan tes. Berdasarkan hasil data riset diketahui bahwa rata-rata postes matematika di ruang eksperimen adalah 72,75 dan rata-rata postes matematika di ruang kontrol adalah 47,47. Anak didik menanggapi penerapan model pendidikan sebagai masalah dengan skor rata-rata 78,13. Sedangkan rata-rata respon anak didik terhadap media animasi adalah 78,7.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the mathematical reprentation ability of students in class VIII MTs. Swasta Al-Ittihas Aek-Nabara. The research subjects were students of MTs. Swasta Al-Ittihas Aek-Nabara and the sample used amounted to 25 students. The method applied in this research is descriptive qualitative with tests and interviews as a research data collection technique. Data analysis techniques used in the study consisted of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. Abstract

Full-day school not only serves as a system for fostering excellent concentration and understanding in children's learning, but also hones their ability to think relevantly and adds enthusiasm to their pursuit of knowledge. This study aims to determine the significant impact of full-day school on students' concentration and understanding of mathematics. The research method used was qualitative, utilizing data analysis such as validation tests, linearity tests, homogeneity tests, and T-tests. The results showed that full-day school had a significant impact, particularly on students' concentration. Initially, students were stable in their learning, but over time, their concentration weakened due to fatigue from prolonged study. This can also impact students' understanding of mathematics. In this study, the effect of full-day school on concentration and understanding of mathematics was 0.464> 0.05 and the calculated t value was 4.303> t table. It can be concluded that Ha is accepted which means there is an effect of full-day school (x) on concentration and understanding of mathematics (y). So from the explanation, it can be seen that the calculated t is greater than the t table, meaning Ho is rejected. There is a significant influence between full day school on concentration and understanding of mathematics in SMA Swasta HAS SEPAKAT.
