Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of understanding of students in learning mathematics. So that the Problem Based Learning approach was chosen by means of peer tutor discussions. The research process was carried out in three cycles, where each cycle includes 4 stages, namely: 1) the student orientation stage on the problem 2) the student organization stage, 3) the stage of guiding the investigation, 4) the stage of developing the work, 5) the analysis and evaluation stage. Data was collected by purposive sampling, namely 10 students of class XI SMK Karya Bhakti Pusdikpal. Technical analysis of the data is seen from the learning outcomes or the scores obtained from three cycles with a minimum limit of 85% reaching the KKM score of 75. The results obtained from the implementation of the research show an increase, where the student's score has increased from an average of 64.5 to 81.4 and becomes 85.6. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of the Problem Based Learning Method by means of peer tutor discussions can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes and teachers should use this method to increase student activity in understanding the concepts of mathematics learning.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to develop learning media that are approprited and effective for use against mathematical understanding abilities in accordance with problem based learning steps and to find out the constraints encountered during the development process, this is done because of a lack of understanding of students in learning and a lack of use of learning media at school. The research method used was 4D R&D research and development which was modified to 3D (Define, Design, Develop) 44 (forty four) class VIII students as participants in the area test and product test, besides that supervisor I and II are also needed as validators. The results of this study are that the learning media developed are in accordance with the 3D R&D method, the learning media are appropriate and partical based on the validators and student responses which make learning media able to be implemented in class and the learning media used are effective and can be used students in 2 (two) class at one of the MTS in West Bandung Distric.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the scenarios and implementations of the responses of teachers and students, the difficulties faced by students in solving mathematical problem-solving tests, and the constraints experienced by teachers in learning using a video-assisted scientific approach. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with both test and non-test instruments. The subjects of the research were 20 seventh-grade students from a Madrasah in Bandung Regency. The results indicated that the teacher's response was positive. The average pretest score of students was 34.5, which improved to an average posttest score of 73.5. Students responded positively, categorizing the learning outcomes as enjoyable, with an average questionnaire result of 3.51. Based on these results, it can be concluded that students understood the material. The difficulties faced by students are a small number of students who did not understand the concepts of questions related to operations with fractional numbers, leading to answers that did not correspond to what was requested in the questions. The constraints faced by teachers included the need for more time to teach and the necessity to sometimes replay videos so that students could thoroughly understand the material presented.

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive learning media assisted by Google Sites with the PAIKEM GEMBROT approach on algebraic material for seventh-grade junior high school students, as well as to examine its feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness. The method used was Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model. The research subjects consisted of 3 students in the one-to-one trial, 10 students in the small group trial, and 43 students in the extensive trial. The results showed that the media was declared very feasible based on expert validation, practical based on student responses, and the learning implementation was in the good category. The media proved effective in improving students' mathematical communication skills and learning activeness, although classical mastery remained limited. The novelty of this research is the operational integration of the seven PAIKEM GEMBROT principles into Google Sites-based media. This media can be used as an innovative alternative in junior high school mathematics learning according to the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively analyze and describe the mathematical concept understanding ability of junior high school students on the topic of sets. The novelty of this research lies in the in-depth analysis of misconceptions for each indicator across all student ability levels. The method used is descriptive qualitative, involving a sample of 25 seventh-grade students at a private junior high school in Cimahi City. Data were collected through a test instrument consisting of three essay questions representing each indicator. The results showed that: (1) Students with a high ability level (16%) successfully mastered all indicators, although there were still minor inaccuracies in the classifying indicator; (2) Students with a medium ability level (76%) were only able to fulfill the restating indicator, but failed to provide logical reasoning for classifying and had not achieved the target for categorizing; (3) Students with a low ability level (8%) failed to meet the criteria across all indicators, indicating fundamental misconceptions in solving set problems. In conclusion, the mathematical understanding of the majority of students falls into the medium category, which is influenced by their lack of enthusiasm for learning.

Abstract

Rendahnya pemahaman konsep matematika siswa sekolah dasar disebabkan oleh tidak adanya penggunaan media yang menarik serta rendahnya keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas media pembelajaran berbasis canva yang dipadukan dengan model STAD. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Research and Development (R & D) dengan model ADDIE yang terdiri dari analisis, perancangan, pembuatan produk, implementasi dan evaluasi, dengan desain one group pretest-postest. Uji coba dilaksanakan dengan dua tahapan yaitu uji coba terbatas dengan sample penelitian berjumlah 10 siswa dan uji coba luas dengan sample penelitian berjumlah 25 siswa sekolah dasar, teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes hasil belajar yang dianalisis menggunakan paired sample t-test dan N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa rata-rata nilai meningkat dari 58,00 menjadi 80,20. Hasil uji sample t menunjukan nilai signifikan 0,000 < 0,05 yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan. Nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,5513 berada pada kategori sedang. Dengan demikian, media berbasis canva model stad efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa sekolah dasar. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektivitasan penggunaan media KomikuAR (Augmented reality) untuk meningkatkan literasi numerasi siswa sekolah dasar. Latar Belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari rendahnya literasi numerasi siswa sekolah dasar. siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam menerapkan konsep matematika dasar, seperti operasi bilangan, ke dalam situasi nyata. Selain itu, siswa kurang tertarik pada aktivitas literasi numerasi, baik dalam membaca soal maupun dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan numerasi. Pembelajaran matematika masih dianggap membosankan oleh sebagian siswa, sehingga berdampak pada rendahnya motivasi belajar. kurangnya pemanfaatan media digital dalam pembelajaran matematika juga menyebabkan siswa jarang terpapar teknologi interaktif yang dapat meningkatkan ketertarikan dan pemahaman mereka terhadap materi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode RnD dengan jenis one-group pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV yang berjumlah 33 orang. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes pretest dan posttest serta dianalisis menggunakan ujit dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SPSS versi 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada rata-rata nilai siswa, dari 72,48% pada pretest menjadi 94,85 pada posttest. Uji-t menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar sebesar 0,00 < 0,05, sehingga adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai pretest dan posttest siswa. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media KomikuAR berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Maka dapat disimpulkan penggunaan media KomikuAR mampu meningkatkan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa, keterlibatan siswa, serta motivasi belajar secara keseluruhan.
