Abstract

Mathematics is often perceived as a difficult subject, therefore students' interest in learning in mathematics is relatively low. This results in low student learning outcomes, whereas in mathematics there is an important ability possessed by students, namely mathematical reasoning abilities that enter into the High Order Thinking Skill, based on that the purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of learning interest on students' mathematical reasoning abilities. The method in this study is a correlational method to see the effect of a variable on other variables, with a population of eighth grade students of SMPN 3 Ngamprah with samples taken in one class. The instrument of this study was a 5-item test instrument to measure reasoning ability and a non-test questionnaire in the form of 40 statements used to measure interest in learning in mathematics. From the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that there is a significant positive influence between learning interest with mathematical reasoning ability, and the correlation coefficient of 0.88, which means the relationship between interest in learning mathematics and mathematical reasoning ability is classified as very strong. Therefore, in bringing learning the teacher should make learning that can increase student interest in learning so that students' mathematical reasoning abilities increase

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah dan mendeskripsikan pengaruh self regulated learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa SMA Desain penelitian ini adalah survey. Untuk mendapatkan data hasil penelitian digunakan instrumen berupa tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan skala self regukated learning siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMP Negeri 13 Jakarta dengan sampel penelitian siswa kelas XI sebanyak 31 siswa. Analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif. Analisis kuantitatif dilakukan terhadap data kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan data self-concept. Instrumen yang digunakan sebanyak 5 soal tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan 30 pernyataan mengenai self regulated learning. Dalam perhitungan ujicoba intrumen menggunakan program axcell 2010 dan perhitungan statistik menggunakan SPSS 17. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa self regulated learning  mempengaruhi kemampuan berpikir kreatif  matematis siswa.

Abstract

Problem solving is one of the skills that is quite important for every student to have, because it is closely related to everyday life. To solve a mathematical problem, students are expected to be able to identify the adequacy of data, make mathematical forms, determine and implement strategies, present results, and apply mathematics in a meaningful way. Analysis of the difficulty of solving mathematical problems on the material of blocks, cubes, pyramids, and prisms is the goal of the research conducted and qualitative descriptive is the method in this study. The eighth grade students of SMP Negeri in Cimahi are the subjects to be studied and totaling 34 students. The results of the data analysis are in poor qualifications regarding the problem-solving abilities of students. This is because students are not used to working on non-routine questions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematik siswa SMA yang pembelajarannya menggunakan pendekatan Problem-Based Learning dibandingkan dengan yang menggunakan pembelajaran biasa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuasi-eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMA di Kabupaten Bandung Barat sedangkan sampel dipilih dua kelas XI SMAN di Ngamprah. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini berupa tes tipe uraian yang terdiri dari lima butir soal dengan indikator kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematik. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis secara kuantitatif dengan menggunakan uji statistik (uji-t). Adapun hasil penelitiannya adalah 1) Pencapaian kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematik siswa SMA yang pembelajaranya menggunakan pendekatan ProblemBased Learning lebih baik daripada siswa SMA yang menggunakan pembelajaran biasa, dengan kategori untuk kemampuan berpikir kreatif sedang. 2) Peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematik siswa SMA yang pembelajaranya menggunakan pendekatan Problem-Based Learning lebih baik daripada siswa SMA yang menggunakan pembelajaran biasa, dengan kategori untuk kemampuan berpikir kreatif sedang.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPengabdian ini, berdasarkan hasil observasi kami dilapangan, hasil belajar matematika siswa di Sekolah Dasar Masih rendah, padahal pada jenjang ini sangat menentukan keberhasilan belajar pada jenjang selanjutnya. Rendahnya hasil belajar siswa SD pada mata pelajaran matematika dikarenakan siswa menganggap matematika adalah pelajaran yang sulit, mereka merasakan kesulitan dalam matematika karena pada jenjang Sekolah Dasar siswa masih belum bisa berpikir abstrak, padahal matematika adalah ilmu yang abstrak. Oleh karena itu pada jenjang sekolah dasar dibutuhkan media berupa alatperga yang dapat membantu siswa membayangkan atau mengilustrasikan konsep-konsep matematika agar konsep matematika lebih mudah dipahami. Keterbatasan alat peraga menjadi salah satu hambatan dalam pembelajaran matematika di Sekolah Dasar, selain itu keterbatasan pengetahuan guru mengenai alat peraga menjadi salah satu hal yang harus diperhatikan.  Berdasarkan pemaparan tersebut, kami bermaksud untuk melakukan penyuluhan kepada guru-guru di beberapa SD di Kecamatan Pangalengan dalam penggunaan alat peraga khususnya pada matapelajaran matematika, diharapkan dengan adanya penyuluhan tersebut pengetahuan guru mengenai alat peraga semakin meningkat yang berimplikasi pada meningkatnya hasil belajar siswa pada matapelajaran matematikaKata Kunci : Alat Peraga, Matematika, Sekolah Dasar ABSTRACTThis dedication, based on our observations in the field, mathematics learning outcomes of students in elementary schools are still low, even though at this level it will determine the success of learning at the next level. The low learning outcomes of elementary school students in mathematics because students consider mathematics a difficult subject, they feel difficulties in mathematics because at the elementary school level students are still unable to think abstractly, even though mathematics is an abstract science. Therefore at the elementary school level media needed in the form of tools that can help students imagine or illustrate mathematical concepts so that mathematical concepts are more easily understood. The limitation of teaching aids is one of the obstacles in learning mathematics in elementary schools, besides the limited knowledge of teachers about teaching aids is one thing that must be considered. Based on this explanation, we intend to conduct counseling for teachers in several elementary schools in Pangalengan District in the use of teaching aids especially in mathematics, it is expected that with this education the teacher's knowledge about teaching aids will increase which has implications for increasing student learning outcomes in mathematics.Keywords: Teaching Aids, Mathematics, Elementary School

Abstract

The ability to solve problems is one of the abilities that students need to have in learning mathematics. Especially solving stories or non-routine questions, students really need to have the ability to solve these problems. Therefore, this study aims to determine and examine the ability to solve mathematical problems in solving one-variable linear equation (PLSV) material stories in junior high school students conducted in one of the public junior high schools in the city of Cimahi. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method. The subjects of this study were 15 grade VII junior high school students and the data obtained by testing 4 written tests in the form of stories related to everyday life which refers to the steps of problem solving skills, namely finding mathematics from data, making mathematical models from problems. story, planning a settlement strategy, checking the correctness of the answer. From the results of research that has been done that the problem-solving ability of students is still relatively low because students are not accustomed to working on the form of story questions which causes students to find it difficult to determine the steps to be able to solve problems, formulate story questions into mathematical models.

Abstract

This research is based on the level of mathematical reasoning ability and Self confidence which is owned by Students who are still relatively low. then the purpose of this study are: 1) to know the level of students' reasoning ability seen from the achievement of minimum mastery criteria (KKM); 2) to know the students' perceptions of each indicator of mathematical reasoning ability; 3) to know the level of Self confidence categories of students on each item statement. This research uses qualitative approach with explorative descriptive method. Subjects in this study were students of class XI IPS1 which amounted to 20 students in SMA Putra Juang academic year 2017/2018. The research instrument consisted of test question instrument, non test instrument in the form of questionnaire, and interview guide. From the research, it is found that the reasoning ability and self confidence of XI IPS1 SMA Putra Juang class students on the opportunity material are included in low category. This can be seen from the test results where the value of Students 75% below KKM and only 25% above KKM.Serta from the questionnaire that shows the ability of self-confidence mathematics owned 50% low students, 25% Medium, 20% High, and 5 % very high. whereas students 'misconception in reasoning ability occurs in many indicators of students' ability to construct and test a conjecture in mathematics lessons, where only 5 students reach this indicator of ability.

Abstract

Mathematical critical thinking ability is the ability of the thinking process to systematically investigate the thinking process itself, analyze arguments and bring up ideas with evidence on each meaning to develop a logical mindset that emphasizes making decisions about what to believe or do. The importance of mathematical critical thinking skills is to help students to think rationally in making decisions and conclusions to choose the best alternative and to be able to look at various problems. In addition to mathematical thinking skills, one of the affective aspects is self-confidence or self confidence. Self-confidence is self-confidence in the ability that it has so that it is sure to be able to solve a problem. This study aims to determine the difficulties of students in working on two linear variables in terms of student self-confidence and whether there is a relationship between self-confidence and mathematical critical thinking skills. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The population of this study was all Mts in the city of Cimahi while the sample was the students of class IX B MTSN Kota cimahi. The critical thinking ability test instruments given were 5 questions accompanied by interviews with each student. and the Self Confidence questionnaire consisting of 20 positive and negative statements. Then the results obtained are the level of mathematical critical thinking ability of the students of the City of Cimahi, which is low and there is no influence between Self Confidence and mathematical critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Mathematical reflective thinking ability is a process of thinking someone in understanding, identifying, analyzing problems based on relevant information and determining solutions to solve these problems. The importance of reflective marriage is to help students develop high-level thinking skills through their encouragement to: 1) connect new knowledge to their previous understanding. 2) thinking in abstract and concrete terminology. 3) apply specific strategies for new tasks. 4) understand their own thinking processes and learn on their own. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The population of this study was all junior high school students in the city of Cimahi, which became the sample of this study were students of class VII-H at Cimahi Middle School 8. The instruments of reflective thinking ability were given to students as many as 5 questions for written tests accompanied by interviews with each student. Then the results obtained are the level of mathematical reflective thinking ability of junior high school students in Cimahi City based on written tests and the results of interviews with Cimahi students are still relatively low and there is no influence between student self-independence and mathematical relative thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the scenario and implementation of online learning, the reaction of teachers and students to learning, the difficulties felt by students in completing the problem, as well as the obstacles experienced by teachers when doing online learning material system of linear equations two variables using CTL approach. This study is a qualitative descriptive research. This study was conducted on 20 students of SMP Plus Darul Amanah Ciwidey. The results of the study went as planned, the teacher's reaction when the learning process got a score of 94% which included very good criteria, it can be seen from the results of teacher observation sheets carried out each learning meeting, the student's reaction to learning got an average score of 71% with a very good category. The difficulty experienced by students in working on a system of linear equations of two variables lies in the difficulty of skills, concepts, and principles. The obstacles experienced by teachers when carrying out learning are varied such as students who do not have internet quotas, expensive internet payments, signal constraints, lack of student motivation, and lack of supervision from parents during the learning process.
