Abstract

Masalah pandemi Covid-19 di Indonesia berdampak besar bagi keluarga dan masyarakat. Berbagai dampak dialami oleh mereka antara lain masalah ekonomi, pendidikan, sosial, dan psikologis. Keluarga terpaksa harus beradaptasi dengan kondisi yang berubah seperti menemani anak belajar online, berkurangnya pendapatan pada profesi tertentu akibat pembatasan sosial berskala besar, bahkan pandemi ini juga menambah jumlah pemutusan hubungan kerja. Durasi yang panjang dan kendala selama pandemi membuat keluarga semakin rentan. Salah satu upaya yang perlu diberikan adalah dengan memberikan penguatan pada aspek psikologis keluarga. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan ketahanan keluarga dalam menghadapi pandemi Covid 19. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan model ABC (Adversity Belief Consequence) melalui edukasi dan konseling. Nilai ketahanan diukur menggunakan Walsh Family Resilience Qustionnaire. Kuesioner diberikan sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan. Peserta pengabdian ini adalah ibu-ibu di posyandu  Kunir V Patangpuluuhan Wirobrajan Yogyakarta dengan jumlah 28 orang. Pelaksanaan posyandu dilakukan sesuai dengan protokol kesehatan. Teknik analisa menggunakan paired t-test. Kesimpulan,  model pendekatan ABC signifikan meningkatkan ketahanan keluarga.

Abstract

Malnutrisi pada anak mengalami peningkatan. Fenomena saat ini adalah balita dan anak-anak tidak hanya dihadapkan dengan masalah gizi kurang namun juga gizi berlebih. Adanya perubahan acuan gizi dari sebelumnya empat sehat lima sempurna menjadi pedoman gizi seimbang belum sepenuhnya dipahami dan diketahui oleh semua lapisan masyarakat, salah satunya adalah di lingkungan sekolah. Oleh karenanya pengabdian kepada masyarkat ini menyasar sekolah dasar yang beada di wilayah puskesmas pakualaman untuk diberikan pemahaman. Metode yang digunakan dalam edukasi ini adalah dengan memberikan penjelasan melalui power point dan diperjelas dengan audio viusal (video). Selanjutnya evaluasi yang digunakan adalah menggunakan puzzle. Mengingat audiens adalah anak usia sekolah di kelas V maka evaluasi dengan permainan dirasa sesuai untuk mengukur pemahaman siswa. Hasil edukasi menunjukkan 57.14% siswa memiliki pemahaman yang baik, 28.57% cukup, dan 14.28% kurang. Meskipun siswa memiliki ringkat pemahaman yang baik, namun, pemahaman yang didapatkan oleh siswa ini belum dapat diukur dalam perilaku sehari-hari.Kata kunci: Anak usia sekolah, Gizi seimbang, Isi piringku, Pengetahuan

Abstract

Community health volunteers (CHVs) are the manifestation of community participation in an attempt of solving health issues in their area. One of skill asset that must be possessed by CHVs is leadership. CHVs selection criteria based on socio-demographic characteristics need to be upgraded to support their role in moving the community towards a healthy Indonesian optimally. The aim of this study was to assess the leadership role of CHVs in Purwomartani village and its contributed factors. This study used a cross sectional design conducted in Purwomartani, Kalasan, Sleman using 53 respondents selected through purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using a validated questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS version 20.0. The respondent comprised 100.0 % females with an average age of 45 years and living as a housewife. Most CHVs have education level up to senior high school and above (83.1%) and have experience as CHVs ± 10 years. Multiple regression analysis revealed that factor contributed with role of leadership was experience of being CHVs (

Abstract

Aged people will experience several changes in all aspects of life including, physical, psychological, spiritual, and social. Their altered condition such as hearing deprivation, loss of vision, or fluctuating emotions will affect how the way they communicate with other family members. Thus, the family should be more concerned regarding this issue, unless they will have ineffective communication. Moreover, it may lead to trigger a conflict among family members. To unravel this problem, an education on effective communication for aged people using a module will help them to improve strategies for managing the elderly's communication problems. This activity involved 67 families with elderly and 7 health volunteers in Kelurahan Patangpuluhan Wirobrajan Yogyakarta. The result showed that education could elevate the score of effective communication among aged people, both family, and health volunteers. However, health volunteers had a higher average score than family

Abstract

Background: COVID-19 is an infectious disease that causes death globally. Prevention efforts are needed from all parties including school age children to break the chain of spread. Prevention can be done through the provision of information with appropriate media that suitable for the stage development, one of them is puzzle. Aim: The aim of this research is to identify the effect of puzzle as education media in improving COVID-19 prevention behavior in Public Elementary School, Purwobinangun, Kalasan, Sleman. Method: This was pra experimental study with pre post test without control group design. Total of 28 pupils in fourth grade involve as respondents. Researchers provide intervention in the form of health education about COVID-19 using puzzle for 2 weeks for 3 meetings in November 2021. The pretest questionnaires on knowledge of COVID-19 has been carried out with content validity with expert judgement and the I-CVI result is 1, which means the questionnaire is valid. While reliability use Inter Class Correlation (ICC) test with 0,840 which means reliable. Wilcoxon statistic test is used for bivariate analyzing. Result: obtained p value is 0,000 for knowledge, attitude, and behavior of COVID-19 prevention after the intervention. Conclusion:  There is an effect of puzzle in improving COVID-19 prevention behavior. Health education media according to pupils characteristics can be used as an alternative education during the pandemy.

Abstract

Adaptasi lintas budaya merupakan konsep dimana sebuah instrumen dari bahasa original dikembangkan dalam bahasa lain. Proses pengembangan ini tidak hanya berfokus pada bahasanya saja namun meliputi aspek budaya, sehingga diperlukan metodologi yang jelas untuk menjamin tingkat kepercayaan dari instrumen yang dialihbahasakan. Kebaruan penelitian ini karena peneliti ingin melihat proses adaptasi lintas budaya dari instrumen Kidscreen-27 di Asia. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat proses adaptasi lintas budaya dari instrumen Kidscreen di Asia menggunakan integrative review. Instrumen Kidscreen merupakan instrumen yang mengukur kualitas hidup pada anak dengan rentang usia 8 – 18 tahun. Instrumen dikembangkan mulai dari 52 item, 27, item dan 10 item. Adaptasi Kidscreen di Asia yang dicari yaitu mulai tahun 2015 – 2020. Pencarian dilakukan di Google scholar, Proquest, dan Ebsco dengan kata kunci kidscreen dan adaptasi lintas budaya. Sebanyak 5 artikel tentang kidscreen 27 yang dianalisis telah didapatkan dari hasil screening kelengkapan artikel, adanya duplikasi, dan jenis dari Kidscreen. Masing-masing artikel diidentifikasi berdasarkan tahapan proses adaptasi dan pendekatan metodologi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa semua studi sudah mengaplikasikan framework dengan pendekatan yang universal. Terdapat 2 instrumen yang mengadopsi konsep dari Beaton sebagai kerangka metodologi, sementara 3 lainnya menggunakan kerangka baku dari Kidscreen Group dalam proses adaptasinya.  Poin penekanan terdapat pada perincian prosedur yang diadopsi dalam proses, validasi konten dan evaluasi psikometri. Evaluasi psikometri perlu dilakukan sebagai pembuktian dengan tingkat kepercayaan yang diakui. Kesimpulan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan dan persamaan dalam evaluasi psikometri tidak menjadikan salah satu hasil penelitian buruk atau tidak sesuai.

Abstract

The ageing process brings many physical, psychological, social and spiritual changes to older people. Psychological and social changes include a different work rhythm due to retirement, loss of friends and partners, fear and anxiety about death, loneliness, etc. This leads to the risk of anxiety and depression in older people. Depression or psychosocial disorders affect older people physically and might reduce their quality of life. Therefore, in order to prevent and overcome these problems, an intervention is needed through laughter therapy. This community service activity consists of five stages, starting from problem identification to program sustainability follow-up. The participants of this activity were 37 elderly members of the hypertension class of Kalasan Puskesmas Area. The activity method consists of 5 stages. The elderly are empowered to practice laughter therapy, which is evaluated using the Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS) questionnaire. The results of the activity showed that the elderly had the ability to perform the therapy independently and that the results of the activity were able to reduce depression levels. In the pre-test assessment, 14.3% of respondents in the middle-aged group exhibited a severe level of depression. Meanwhile, the elderly and young-old groups demonstrated moderate levels of depression, with prevalence rates of 21.1% and 27.3%, respectively. Post-test findings indicated a positive shift across all three groups, with a reduction in depression severity. The proportion of individuals experiencing moderate depression decreased to 14.3% in the middle-aged group, 5.3% in the elderly group, and 9.1% in the young-old group.

Abstract

Background: Older adults experience a progressive aging process that can impact their physical, psychological, social, and spiritual well-being. When these changes become severe, they may contribute to the development of illnesses or disorders. Although family plays a crucial role in supporting the elderly, inadequate communication and understanding often lead, intentionally or unintentionally, to mistreatment. Purpose: This study aimed to identify the differences between pre dan post health education on effective communication to the family so that neglect and psychological abuse can be prevented. Methods: This was a quasi-experimental study with pre-post-test one group design. A total of 39 family members and 39 elderly people in Sentolo Kulon Progo Yogyakarta were selected using simple random sampling. The research was conducted in 2023. The instrument was adopted from the previous study which was Elder Assessment Instrument (EAI) and data were analysed using Wilcoxon test. In addition, the health education program was conducted over approximately five weeks, consisting of four sessions with a one-week interval between each session. The educational content was delivered using a module-based approach. Results: The result showed that the p-value of Wilcoxon test was 0.000. It meant that there were differences between pre and post intervention on the level of elder neglect and psychological abuse. Conclusion: It can be concluded that health education on effective communication among families is able to reduce the rate of neglect.
