Abstract

The role of cocoa in regional-growth and agro-industry development. The development of cocoa agribusiness is a national dilemma that has been becoming a concern for the farming sector. Cocoa development is not only creating livelihood, but also increasing farmers' income and opening up opportunities to get value added of products. This study aims to determine the efficiency of the cocoa bean value chain in Bireuen Regency by analyzing marketing channels, trading margins and determining the main stages of cocoa business activities where value chain actors can increase product value, producing an efficient value chain map, in order to increase farmers' income and develop cocoa farming commodity in Bireuen Regency. This study uses a qualitative method while this method is considered relevant to explore data and information. The data used are primary data obtained from direct interviews with respondents from several parties involved in the cocoa bean value chain. Data analysis was carried out descriptively, namely collecting, processing, presenting, and analyzing quantitative data. The method used to analyze the value chain of cocoa beans is economic value added, namely the analysis to determine the economic value added of an EVA = (Net Income) / (Total Cost) x 100%. The EVA value is 87.5%, meaning that every harvest period cocoa farmers can get a net profit of 87.5% of the total costs incurred.

Abstract

Nilai tambah yang semakin besar dalam produk pertanian dapat berperan dalam peningkatan pertumbuhan ekonomi. Pertumbuhan ekonomi yang besar tentu saja berdampak dalam memperluas lapangan kerja serta meningkatkan kesejahteraan masayarakat. Pengolahan minyak kelapa secara tradisional di Kecamatan Jangka telah dilakukan secara turun temurun dengan teknologi sederhana dengan memanfaatkan hasil tanaman lokal. Minyak kelapa (plik u adalah salah satu bahan yang digunakan untuk memasak). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melihat pendapatan dan nilai tambah dari usaha Rumah Tangga Minyak Kelapa Tradisional (Minyak Plik U) di Kecamatan Jangka Kabupaten Bireuen. Penggunaan sampel penelitian menggunakan teknik acak untuk menentukan kecamatan berdasarkan sentra produksi, selanjutnya dirandom sampling untuk menentukan jumlah sample indutri rumah tangga pengolahan minyak kelapa yang akan diteliti. Maka sampel yang diperoleh sebanyak 20 industri pengolahan minyak kelapa (plik u). Hasil penelitian 1) Rata-rata pendapatan dari usaha industri rumah tangga minyak kelapa tradisional (Plik U) di Kecamatan Jangka Kabupaten Bireuen sebesar Rp. 1.422.009,72 per bulan. Dangan nilai R/C sebesar 1,46 (R/C1), artinya layak untuk tetap dijalakan; 2) Rasio nilai tambah terbesar diperoleh dari produk minyak mencapai 82,46 persen (nilai tambah : tinggi), sedangkan pada proses produk Plik U dengan rasio nilai tambah 34,64 persen (nilai tambah : sedang).

Abstract

Bawang merah adalah komoditi hortikultura yang menghasilkan umbi dan menjadi kebutuhan harian masyarakat Indonesia. Jumlah bawang merah yang diproduksi di Provinsi Aceh masih belum memenuhi jumlah kebutuhan bawang merah setiap tahunnya. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya penerapan teknologi budidaya bawang merah untuk meningkatkan jumlah produksi bawang merah. Salah satu pendekatan teknologi yang dapat dilakukan adalah penggunaan pupuk kascing dan pupuk organik cair. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di perkebunan Kabupaten Aceh Tengah di Desa Lot Kala Kec. Kebayakan tahun 2024 dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial, dengan dua faktor yang diteliti, yaitu: Pemberian pupuk kascing (K), terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu: K0: Tanpa Perlakuan ; K1:100 g/polybag ; K2:150 g/polybag ; K3:200 g/polybag. Pemberian POC, terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu: S0: Tanpa Perlakuan ; S1: 150 ml/polybag ; S2 : 300 ml/polybag. Dosis kascing berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap jumlah umbi minggu ke 2, minggu ke 4 dan minggu ke 6 serta berat kering umbi. Dosis kascing terbaik terdapat pada dosis 200gr/polybag. Adanya pengaruh nyata pemberian dosis POC berpengaruh sangat nyata pada jumlah umbi minggu ke 6, jumlah umbi minggu ke 2 dan berat kering umbi namun tidak berpengaruh nyata pada variabel yang di amati lainnya. Dosis terbaik terdapat pada 300ml/polybag.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of manure dosage and types of plant growth regulators (PGRs), as well as their interaction, on the generative phase of bird’s eye chili plants (Capsicum frutescens L.) in order to improve productivity, which remains fluctuating due to suboptimal cultivation practices. The research was conducted from February to March 2026 at the experimental field of the Pusat Riset Bisnis Kopbun Suka Tani Sejahtera, Kota Juang District, Bireuen Regency, using a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) of 4 × 3 with three replications. The first factor was the dosage of manure (control, 1 kg/plant, 1.5 kg/plant, and 2 kg/plant), while the second factor was the type of natural PGR (onion extract, rice water, and coconut water). Data were collected through direct observations on several parameters, including number of fruits, fruit weight, fresh biomass weight, root fresh weight, and root length, and were then analyzed to determine the effects of treatments and their interactions.          The results showed that certain doses of manure had a significant effect on increasing yield and root growth, while natural PGRs were able to enhance flowering, reduce flower drop, and accelerate fruit formation. The interaction between both treatments indicated that the optimal combination produced higher results compared to single treatments. The novelty of this study lies in the use of a combination of manure and natural PGRs based on local materials as a strategy to improve the generative phase. The implications of this research are expected to serve as a scientific reference for the development of sustainable cultivation techniques, as well as learning material and further research in the fields of agronomy and horticulture.

Abstract

Cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) is a horticultural commodity with high economic value and continuously increasing market demand. The success of cayenne pepper production is largely determined by vegetative growth in the early stages, which is influenced by the availability of nutrients and plant growth regulators. The use of manure as a source of organic matter and natural Plant Growth Regulators (PGRs) is expected to enhance vegetative growth. This study aimed to determine the effect of manure application and natural PGRs on the vegetative growth of cayenne pepper and to identify the treatment that produces the best growth.The research was conducted from December to January 2026 at the land of the Kopbun Suka Tani Sejahtera Business Research Center, Kota Juang District, Bireuen Regency. The study used a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with a 4 × 3 pattern and three replications. The first factor was the dosage of manure consisting of 0 kg (control), 1 kg, 1.5 kg, and 2 kg per plant. The second factor was the type of natural PGR, consisting of shallot extract, rice water, and coconut water. The observed parameters included plant height, number of leaves, leaf width, and number of branches at 15, 30, and 45 days after planting (DAP). Data were analyzed using the F-test and continued with the Honestly Significant Difference (HSD) test at a 5% significance level if the results were significant.The results showed that manure application had no significant effect on all vegetative growth parameters up to 45 DAP. The application of natural PGRs also showed no significant effect at 15, 30, and 45 DAP, as well as on other parameters. There was no significant interaction between manure and natural PGRs on all observed parameters.

Abstract

Sclerotium rolfsii Sacc. merupakan jamur penyebab penyakit rebah kecambah pada tanaman kedelai (Glycine max L.) yang menyebabkan penurunan produksi kedelai. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan ketahanan tanaman kedelai terhadap serangan patogen S. rolfsii adalah dengan menggunakan agen hayati T. harzianum. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dosis pelet T. harzianum yang tepat untuk menekan pertumbuhan cendawan patogen Sclerotium rolfsii penyebab penyakit rebah kecambah pada tanaman kedelai. Metode penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Non Faktorial (RAK), dengan 6 perlakuan dan diulang sebanyak 5 kali sehingga diperoleh kombinasi perlakuan sebanyak 30 unit tanaman. Data dianalisis menggunakan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), didapatkan hasil yang berbeda nyata α<0,05 dilanjutkan dengan analisis BNJ 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan T. harzianum dengan dosis 20 gram/tanaman berpengaruh menurunkan intensitas penyakit rebah kecambah yang disebabkan cendawan patogen S. Rolfsii dan masa inkubasi perlakuan yang terserang lebih cepat yaitu pada perlakuan kontrol (VD0), Trichoderma harzianum dengan dosis 10 gram/tanaman (VD1) sedangkan perlakuan yang paling lambat terserang penyakit yaitu perlakuan Trichoderma harzianum dengan dosis 30 gram/tanaman (VD5).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh intensitas salinitas terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman cabai rawit (Capsicum frutescens L). Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) non faktorial dengan satu faktor yaitu intensitas salinitas yang terdiri atas 5 taraf: 0 ppm (kontrol), 1000 ppm, 1500 ppm, 2000 ppm, dan 2500 ppm NaCl, dengan 3 ulangan. Parameter yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah buah, berat buah, dan panjang akar. Data dianalisis menggunakan sidik ragam (ANOVA) dan dilanjutkan dengan uji BNJ 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan intensitas salinitas berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap seluruh parameter pengamatan. Salinitas 2500 ppm menurunkan tinggi tanaman sebesar 38,4%, jumlah buah 45,7%, berat buah 49,2%, dan panjang akar 41,6% dibandingkan kontrol. Semakin tinggi konsentrasi NaCl yang diberikan, semakin besar penurunan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman cabai rawit.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the response of several cayenne pepper varieties (Capsicum frutescens L.) on the growth and yield of cayenne pepper cultivated in the cocoa (Theobroma cacao L.) alley cropping system. The research was conducted from April to July 2025 at Mon Jambe Village, Jeumpa District, and the Kopbun Suka Tani Sejahtera Business Research Center, Kota Juang District, Bireuen Regency. The experiment employed a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with four varieties as treatments and three replications, resulting in 12 experimental units. The tested varieties were Rajo, Genie, Bara, and Tetra Hijau. Data were collected through observations of plant height, number of leaves, number of fruits, fruit weight, and fresh biomass weight, and were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) to determine differences among treatments. The results showed that the varietal factor had a highly significant effect on leaf number and a significant effect on fruit number and fruit weight. The Bara variety exhibited the most adaptive and productive performance under the cocoa alley cropping system, as indicated by superior vegetative growth and yield compared to other varieties. The novelty of this study lies in emphasizing that varietal selection is a key factor in optimizing the utilization of cocoa alley spaces for cayenne pepper cultivation. These findings are expected to provide a scientific basis for developing cayenne pepper cultivation technologies in cocoa alley systems and to serve as a reference for further research on adaptive variety development under such environmental conditions.
