Abstract

Kota Makassar merupakan salah satu kota metropolitan yang memiliki aktivitas perekonomian yang padat. Peningkatan ekonomi sejalan dengan bertambahnya jumlah penduduk sehingga penggunaan energi yang dibutuhkan meningkat secara signifikan. Penelitian ini bersifat riset and development dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan dan ketersediaan infrastruktur energi listrik di Kota Makassar dan memberikan strategi pengembangan energi baru terbarukan untuk mewujudkan sustainable city di Kota Makassar. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan studi dokumen, observasi, wawancara, dan pengisian kuesioner. Metode analisis yang digunakan yaitu analisis laju pertumbuhan penduduk dan ekonomi untuk mengetahui arah pembangunan Kota Makassar. Analisis pertumbuhan pengguna listrik dan forecasting supply-demand untuk mendapatkan total pengguna serta kebutuhan listrik. Analisis spasial dan penyediaan energi terbarukan untuk mengetahui lokasi dan kapasitas serta efektivitas sumber energi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan karakteristik kebutuhan energi listrik Kota Makassar terdiri dari sektor rumah tangga, bisnis, publik, dan industri. Kota Makassar memiliki kapasitas pembangkit sebesar 1.686 MW, terdiri dari energi konvensional sebesar 60% dan energi baru terbarukan sebesar 40% dengan efektivitas penggunaan sebesar 94,84%. Tahun 2018 energi listrik mengalami defisit sebesar 125,99 MW dan 5.759,56 MW pada tahun 2037. Untuk mengantisipasi peningkatan kebutuhan yang melebihi persediaan energi listrik dilakukan strategi pengembangan pemenuhan energi jangka panjang. Periode (2017-2022) dibutuhkan pembangkit listrik sebesar 12,8%, periode (2022-2027) sebesar 18,8%, periode (2027-2032) sebesar 27,7%, dan periode (2032-2037) sebesar 40,7%. Strategi pengembangan energi terbarukan dilakukan dengan transformasi energi konvensional menjadi energi baru terbarukan menjadi 80%. Strategi penerapan energi baru terbarukan yang digunakan yaitu energi gas alam, biomassa, dan energi ombak.

Abstract

Makassar city is one of the main centers of economic growth in Eastern Indonesia, has population growth rate of 7% per year, resulting in high intensity of population activity that has an impact on demand for transportation services. The ownership of private vehicles increase and the growth of the road networks are constant, which ultimately has an impact on traffic jams. The research aimed to determine the monorail routes and stations according to the demand for people trips. This research was conducted from September 2019 to January 2020 (4 months). The research obtained from primary data, the existing road network and the condition of public transportations, and secondary ones, such as: Makassar City Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW), population data, land use pattern, and movement pattern. The research was done by using qualitative and quantitative description analysis, origin to destination matrices, and spatial analysis (desire line and network analyst). The research found that there are four monorail routes network planning according to demand of people movement, which the three routes planning have been documented in Makassar City RTRW, and the new route that has found is the route that serve the movement in Barombong – Losari Beach – Port.

Abstract

High levels of waste productivity, illegal waste disposal, poor quality of waste facilities, and waste transportation system that has not been running optimally are problems that occur in Somba Opu District, Gowa Regency. The study aimed to identify and actualize an ideal concept of waste transportation in terms of route, mode, and schedule. The research was started from November 2019 to May 2020. This research is located in Somba Opu District, Gowa Regency. Data collection methods are done primarily through observation, interviews, field survey, and documentation. Secondary data was obtained from literatures study and agencies visit. Analysis was done by using synthesis of literatures study, projected population and waste generation, the needs of waste transfer station analysis, waste transportation analysis, and spatial analysis. This study found the concept of waste transportation that will be applied, such as: the alternative route for transporting wastes to Pabentengang Landfill utilizing Jalan Poros Pangkabinanga thus saving ±1 km of distance and 2-3 minutes of travel time, schedule of transporting waste will be done every day above 22.00 to 07.00. in order to minimize the obstacles, and 2 units of waste truck are needed in 2028, 2033, dan 2038 with 3 times transportation ration and improving the quality of waste transportation mode.

Abstract

Nowadays, the world is facing the challenge of energy uncertainty. Energy utilization is still dominated by fossil fuel whereas these fuel will run out. The use of fossil fuels also contributes to build up the greenhouse gas emissions in the atmosphere and continues to burden the government through the cost of fuel importing and subsidies. South Sulawesi with relatively large fuel consumption still uses fossil fuel especially at transportation sector. The use of fossil fuel is not an effective decision considering there are still many renewable energy which have not been utilized properly such as biodiesel. The aim of this research is to explain development strategy of biodiesel application as a renewable alternative fuel for the sustainable of land transportation sector at Sulawesi Selatan. This research was conducted from July 2019 to February 2020 (8 months).The method of this research are quantitative and qualitative descriptive. Data were obtained through agency documents, interview, and literature review. The results showed development strategy refers to the Strength-Threat strategy which is conglomerate diversification strategy by increasing the feedstock production from non existing land to fulfill the needs of biodiesel.

Abstract

The increasing number of vehicles and transportation needs that are not accompanied by the development of transportation infrastructure result in transportation problems which one of them is congestion. The city of Makassar as one of the metropolitan cities with similar transportation problems needs to develop another alternative transportation system for example, river or water transportation. This study aims to measure the feasibility of the Tallo River as a river or water transportation route, and to formulate guidance for the development of river transportation as alternative transportation system in the city of Makassar. Data collection methods used were observation, interviews, documentation, and literature studies. The analytical methods used are quantitative analysis, spatial analysis and SWOT analysis. The results of this study indicate that the Tallo River is feasible to be used as a river transportation route based on four of the five feasibility aspects, which are, river boundaries, river depth, river width, and barrier-free space. Meanwhile, the guidance of its development is to develop the entire potential of the Tallo River in accordance with the directions of the Makassar City Spatial Plan, increasing investment in transportation revitalization, and developing river transportation that supports tourism.

Abstract

Island waste is a serious problem. This is because the waste management has not received optimal handling. The study case is located on Barrang Caddi Island, Makassar City which has carried out solid waste operational activities, but there are still several problems in its management. The aim of this research was to evaluate the waste management on Barrang Caddi Island in order to improve the quality of the system in the future. This research was conducted from September 2019 to January 2020 (4 months). The data obtained are primary data (compartment, sorting, collection, processing, transportation, and final disposal) and secondary (recapitulation of waste sales and population). The analysis used is a qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that there is a problem, namely a communal trash container is needed for public places on the island, it requires community participation in sorting waste and community concern in protecting the environment, and government support is needed in providing waste facilities such as waste boat transportation, parking lots for motorbikes to collect waste, and repairs incinerator.

Abstract

The Faculty of Engineering of Hasanuddin University in the Gowa Regency RTRW is an area with an educational function. This study aims to determine the supporting facilities URL inside and outside the Gowa Technical Campus and analyze the supporting facilities needed to support the smooth running of campus activities. Data collection methods used were observation, interviews, questionnaires and literature studies. The analytical method used is a comparative study, Important Performance Analysis (IPA) and gap analysis. The results of this study indicate that the conditions of the supporting facilities URL at the Faculty of Engineering of Hasanuddin University have not been able to meet the needs of students and employees and are still inadequate. Therefore, the concept of providing supporting facilities is arranged based on priority scale, namely, health clinics, lecturer housing, integrated landfills, student centers, hotel conventions, employee housing and bookstores.

Abstract

Lappa Village in North Sinjai District, Sinjai Regency, has the potential to empower fisheries and marine natural products. However, its potential in the utilization business is not optimal. Some of the problems encountered, one of which is the infrastructure that supports fishing community activities has not been realized properly and has not been optimally carried out, the level of environmental quality and the level of welfare is still low. This study aims to find out how the level of availability of supporting infrastructure for fishing activities is based on standards and propose a strategy for developing fisherman environmental infrastructure in an effort to improve the economy of small fishing communities in Lappa Village, North Sinjai District. The data used are primary and secondary data obtained from literature studies, observations and interviews. Data analysis techniques are literature synthesis analysis, qualitative descriptive analysis, Likert scale analysis, infrastructure service level analysis, and SWOT analysis. The results showed that the availability of supporting facilities for fishermen's activities in Lappa Village was 63.6% with the medium category and infrastructure for supporting fishing activities still needs to be done better pier planning and road widening, as well as meeting the needs for utility infrastructure (electricity and clean water).

Abstract

One of the factors that influence building intensity is the Building Floor Coefficient (BFC). Makassar City Spatial Planning 2015-2034 has set the Maximum BFC value, including on the Jalan Sultan Alauddin corridor. However, based on interlocutors with the specified agency, in the regulation, the BFC value has not taken into account aspects of road capacity. This study aims to evaluate the provisions of the BAC stipulated in the Jalan Sultan Alauddin corridor and formulate appropriate directions to increase the level of road service so that the building intensity is in accordance with the available road capacity. This research was conducted from January to July 2021 (7 months). The research method uses a supply and demand analysis approach. The supply approach focuses on road capacity as the object of research. Meanwhile, the demand approach focuses on building intensity limits to see how much the trip pull is. The results of the analysis show that the maximum BFC provision on the Jalan Sultan Alauddin corridor is too high and does not match the road capacity. The maximum traffic volume (Volume Capacity Ratio/VCR) obtained from the simulation results exceeds the road capacity on one of the segments with a VCR value of 1.00. Meanwhile, the tolerance limit for the VCR value on Jalan Sultan Alauddin, which is a primary arterial road, is 0.70. The direction of the recommendations proposed is to reduce the value of BFC and/or road capacity management.

Abstract

Makassar City, which is the largest city in Eastern Indonesia, still often faces inundation and flooding. In some areas in Makassar City, inundation often occurs, one of which is in Panakukkang District. So it is necessary to pay attention to infrastructure that is environmentally friendly and does not interfere with the natural cycle of the environment. The purpose of this study is to identify the level of flood susceptibility, calculate the volume of surface runoff and the influence of the physical spatial aspects of the area, and identify the potential for the application of permeable pavement based on the physical and spatial aspects of the area. This research was conducted from February to May 2022 (3 months). This study uses data types in the form of rainfall, land elevation, land use, slope, soil type, road network, land use, and utilities. The analytical methods used are scoring, overlay, and hydrological analysis. The results obtained for most of the research area are in flood-prone areas of 816 hectares. The volume of runoff water is 13 m3/second/km2. Permeable pavement can be applied to a number of roads with an area of ​​0.86 km2 and is capable of absorbing a runoff volume of 2,526 m3/hour/km2.
